Feline Friday

Every morning I ask Mom to let me go out onto the front porch. And even though the temperature outside is below freezing...

See?

Mom lets me go out. Yes, there is some snow on the ground outside.  I stay out on the front porch for about ten minutes, surveying my domain (which is also the front garden), before I hop back inside for scritches from Mom and then a nap in my heated cat cup.

Finally Feline Friday

Since Mom and I got back from California, I've been snuggling next to her when she sits down to watch TV. If she DOESN'T sit, I MEOW rather loudly until she finally figures it out.

It's Friday and I'm fine. Mom is a little bummed because one of the beans she has worked with for the last six years has left the company for another gig. Mom liked this person a lot and they worked well together. I may have to provide a little comfort.

I won't do anything drastic like sit on her lap, but I'll sit next to her when she watches TV or something.

I love napping in this spot.

Mom likes it because she can take pictures of me here. It's hard for her when I decide to nap behind the couch.

Fantastic Famous Feline Friday

You know you are a truly famous cat when you get mail addressed like this.  My name, not Mom's, on the envelope, the mailing address in a tiny corner (that Mom is covering for, well, security), and the guy in the bloo shorts knew just where to deliver it. It came all the way from Sydney Australia.

I have three cat hammicks, and I love them all. This one is in the sewing studio, and I was napping there while Mom was sewing.


Holy Carp! Mom's staycation is almost over. That went by quick!

I told Mom I was tired of my stinky goodness. Believe it or not, I am getting a bit bored with Beef. I told her I wanted Chick-hen. It took many days to get her to understand me, but she finally got it.

What can I say? She's a people, not a Cat, and while she's pretty smart as people go, she just hasn't got the Cat thing. 

She finally did though, and I've been eating my Chick-hen stinky goodness quite happily the last day or so.  I'll eat Chick-hen for a while, and then I'll get bored and ask her for something else, and we'll go through this again, and she'll finally get it then too.

So all in all, it's OK. She wakes up early in the summer and I jump on the bed and get lots of scritches every morning. It evens out.

Mom and I have been on vacation this week. There's been lots of tennis, and I've been able to hang out on the porch a lot more than usual, which is really nice.

Mom's shade garden is looking very good, and she is proud of it.

No, there isn't any 'Nip, but I'm good with it. We have a large supply of the dried stuff and I get my share often enough to keep me happy.

It is raining this morning, so I am not on the front porch. Instead I am on my kitty condo, and it has a great view of the outside. I was looking out there when Mom came in the office with the flashy box, so I had to see what she was up to. That's why you don't see me looking outside.

Mom has been doing a lot of resting lately. She's read three books in the last week alone. She is feeling better. Now I have to go back to watching over the neighborhood.

Feline Friday

First of all, a correction. Both the front porch, and the office, face East, not South.  Mom can't understand why I sit in the kitty condo in the morning instead of the front porch.

I do go on the front porch in the morning, I just don't STAY there.  Mom thinks that will change as we get closer to Summer and the weather warms up.

Mom got more plants yesterday. Her shade garden is coming along, and she is happy with it. This weekend marks the beginning of the garden season here in New Hampster. We shouldn't have any more frosts until September.

Mom planted some seeds in little pots for her garden. She planted me some Cat Grass too. Mom says she will plant some 'Nip for me tomorrow, but she has to clean a pot first because my 'Nip might live inside and the pot has to look good. Mom says I will be very happy with it, and she says she has an idea for a special Cat Grass planter.

I can't wait. She got more plants in a box yesterday, and they are outside waiting to be planted. We are going to have a terrific garden.

AND... Mom will finally be able to go to the Evil Little Chocolate store so we can get the When When prize packages out on Monday!

One of the other benefits of napping in this cushion was revealed to Mom when she was home with me yesterday. She did not know this spot got so much sun!

It really is pretty awesome.

Sitting Pretty

Mom took this picture of me because it is something she has never seen before: me at the very top of my kitty condo.  I love this spot because I can see the whole neighborhood from here.

Frisky Feline Friday

Mom spent last night looking at Mr Karate & Rubylocks's wedding pictures and choosing which ones to buy for her own album.

I spent the evening doing acrobatics on my kitty condo.  I plan to take it easy this weekend. That's what weekends are for, I think.

After Mom's silly photo of me yesterday, I think we can all agree THIS photo is much better!

Mom doesn't like it when I spill the beans, but hey, I'm a cat and I'll spill knock over any beans I choose.  (Figuratively speaking, of course.) Anyways, Mom's big wordy project is why I haven't been visiting many blogs and leaving comments.  Please accept my humble apologies, but in this case, I'm on Mom's side. I really want her to get this wordy project done for so many reasons, I can't list them all here. Suffice it to say she wants to let the world know how important cats are, and how we small furry four pawed creatures make the world a better place.

Feline Friday

Mom has been chasing me around with her little digital camera. I don't like it when it flashes in my face. So I make sure to keep an eye on her when she's got it out. She tries to pretend she isn't going to take my picture, but I'm no dummy. I watch the little red light flash just before she clicks the button. That's why she hardly ever gets pictures of my with my eyes closed.

Mom's got all kinds of excitement going on at her day hunting gig. She's been rambling about Naz and San; she's gonna put her servants through the rack, and getting another Tee-one and moving some guy named Data. She's talking about Mozy-ing Ward and June. (?) She's been going on about a couple of Cats, Five-Eee and Six. (She better not be thinking about bringing home another cat. I like being Top Cat). She's going to trade in a couple of old Yoop-ee-esses for a new one, and getting a Lec-trician to install a special plug. And there's something about a servant named Jack that doesn't know anything.

Listening to her rant and rave makes me SO glad I am a cat.
