Millie Monday

Mom cleaned the house this past weekend. I couldn't let her cleaning skills outshine mine!

(Drum roll, please...)

Ladies and Gentlemen. Kits and Kats, Toms and Queens, it gives me VERY GREAT PLEASURE to announce to you that today, in Yosemite Valley Catifornia, Mr Karate asked Rubylocks to be Mrs Karate.

She said Yes!

Sunny Saturday

The leaves are starting to change colors, and I have a front row seat.

Mom's running around doing silly stupid stuff today. What are you doing?

Flashback Friday

This picture of me was taken on this date in 2006, after I had been living here about six weeks.

Gosh I was a cute little kit!

Truthful Thursday

I sit next to Mom when she watches TV. It's a good way to get lots of scritches.

Millie Monday

Mom did the crazy woman thing this past weekend. She cleaned the house. She did drag the rug sucking monster out and gave that a workout.  She even cooked the books.

She's very pleased with herself. Even the big table in the dining room is pretty clean, although it won't last long.

Sneaky Sunday

You know what this means, don't you?  When Mom has all the stuff put away.

It means the rug sucking monster is about to make an appearance.

Must stay hidden.

Happy Birthday Mooshie!!!!

I can't believe it! Today one of my favorite little sticky people, Mooshie, turns FOUR years old!

Mooshie is a funny little guy.

He is very helpful.
And like my sweetie, Monty Q, he is an expert napper.

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Mooshie!
Happy Birthday to you!

I was so excited about my box full of 'Nip that I forgot to Meow Like a Pirate yesterday.

Truthful Thursday

Mom's got all kinds of stuff going on. Lookit what the man in the bloo shorts brought:

Naturally I had to check these packages out.

Most of the stuff inside was pretty boring. A clock, a CD, a book and a bunch of bags.  But then there was the biggest box...

AND IT WAS FOR ME!!!! There is 'NIP in this box! Oh My Bast!

Oh, 'nip, 'nip, 'nip. Gimme some of that 'nip....

Mom says I have to write a review of the box, but I can't do that now. I want more of this wonderful 'Nip.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Mom's been working on her talk for Saint Loo-ie, and thinking about the workshop she will teach there.  I've been napping.

ONE of us knows about "easy!"

Thinking Thursday

Mom took the air colditioner out of the window, and naturally it got hot yesterday (it was up to 93F).  I'm thinking maybe that wasn't a good idea.

Terrible Tuesday

After a terrific vacation, Mom has to go back to her day-hunting gig today. I have certainly enjoyed getting lots of attention and scritches, to say nothing of visiting the City of Angels and my western fambly.

What can I say? It's getting cool at night, and I like to be comfy.

Super Saturday

Mom and I are home in New Hampster now, but I know you all want to see a picture of Mom with Mr Karate and Rubylocks. This was taken at Manhattan Beach, Catifornia.

It was a great trip, and I had a grand time, but it's nice to be home and nap on your own quilt.

Family Friday

Yoda is a cute little guy.

but he's a very serious little dude.

Don't let that fool you though, he really knows how to have fun.

He's learning to be an expert napper.

He thinks he's a contender for the annual Cats on Quilts Contest, and he's already practicing for next year.

Of course he loves Mr Karate (and Rubylocks)

But I'm the one that got to go to Malibu Beach!

After all, Rank has its privileges.

Thursday Things

Mom loves to cook, and she loves to eat.  After the first day, she tried to take pictures of everything she ate.  So here is a little tour.

Huevos Rancheros from Foxy's in Glendale.

Fried Chicken at Musha in Torrance.

Fish Tacos at Pancho's

Salsa and Chips at Pancho's in Manhattan Beach.

Mochi Ice Cream from J.sweets at the Japanese Market in Torrance.

Cereal with Bananas at Mr Karate and Rubylocks's.

Guacamole & Shrimp Cocktail at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in Malibu.

(Oops) Oysters at Sushi Yoshi in Torrance. (Mom says the sushi here was awesome!)

A custom made box of candies from See's.

Parmesan Crusted Mahi-Mahi, sauteed with Panko, Macadamia Nuts, lemon and capers, with bok choy Asian slaw and "house" rice at Duke's Malibu.  Mom says this was far and away one of the Top Five things she has ever eaten!

Salted Caramel cupcake from Manhattan Beach Creamery.

Mom really liked this Strawberry Basil Cooler from Duke's Malibu (Absolut Citron, Basil, fresh Lemonade & Strawberries). It was totally awesome, and as you can see, I thought it was pretty good too.

Wacky Wednesday

Only Mom could get excited by this:

and this:

It was the farmer's market, and Mom spent lots of green papers there.

Being the good guest that I am, I even helped with dinner.

even though I certainly didn't eat any of this yukky green stuff.

However both Yoda and I were very interested in these. Mom and I are having a good time here in Catifornia with Mr Karate & Rubylocks.
