Thursday Things

Mom was lazy last night. She came home from day hunting, lay down on the couch and yakked with her friend from Catifornia last night for almost an hour.  Then she made dinner and watched TV.

Tomorrow she says some guys are coming to work in the yard, getting the dirt ready for her "shade garden." Mom is very eager to get those plants in the ground. This weekend is the traditional "last frost date" and after this, pretty much everything can be planted.

Including my 'Nip!!

Millie Monday

It was a busy weekend for Mom. She taught a class at QT on Saturday, then came home and chillaxed on the couch. Naturally I was right there next to her to help her relax.

The snow is all gone. Meowmans, Madi & Mom and Laila, you have "won" the consolation prize of the When When Contest.  The last bit of it was against this side of the house, and it's not there now.  All you win is bragging rights, but hey, that's better than Mom! She guessed April 15 and she was wrong.

A plant guy was here yesterday. Mom wants to plant a shade garden against this side of the house, but the dirt needs "enhancing," (or something like that) and she can't do it by herself.  She and the Plant Man walked around outside and he gave her suggestions of things to do. Because this kind of landscaping project could cost lots of green papers, Mom will only tackle one small project at a time. 

 This year it's the shade garden, and this is her plan.

Mom ASSURES me there will be 'Nip, but it will have to grow on our screened in porch so it won't be assaulted by any rude neighborhood kitties.

Millie Monday

Due to the change to Daylight Savings Time, it won't get light enough for Mom to take a photo until later. It was warm yesterday, and the snow started to melt. Mom was very happy about it, but there's still a lot of snow left.

I must have been very good, because Mom bought me a special toy.

It looks like an ordinary stupid ball, but not quite. This ball is made from 'NIP! It smells good, and I can push it around, and lick it, and rub up against it,

generally have a good time playing with it.

Easy Like Sunday

I am having a lovely nap. Mom has ordered some Nip seeds as well as some Cat Grass for me.

Heh.

Frustrated Friday

Mom is so excited about being able to plant a garden in the ground instead of pots, she has already ordered, and received seeds for it.

Yup, there's lots of Basil, some Nasty-turn-iums (or whatever), lots of stupid green leafy lettuce and other herb-y junk, but there's something missing. Can you figure out what it is?

'Nip.

Yes my friends, my own Mom has forgotten to order some 'Nip for me. She -claims- she was thinking of what she could put outside, but we all know she was thinking of her own stomach, and not me.

Something might meet a toothy death, but Mom told me there was plenty of time to order me some 'Nip since she can't plant anything in the ground until after my birthday in April, which is 3 months away.

I'll be watching.

Silly Sunday

Mom sprinkled some 'Nip on the kitty condo in the front room. (She also opened the blind so I could watch the snow fall outside.)

I had some fun rolling around, and Mom took pictures.

I really love my new scratcher. I use it every day and Mom is happy.

However, I am not sure about this photo. Mom gave me some really good 'Nip and I am afraid I lost control. I confess I rolled in the stuff. Mom laughed and took pictures.

Very Easy Like Sunday

The storm that brought us all the rain on Friday blew the Hots away and we have had very nice weather since. It has been sunny, warm and dry. Mom has been watching the tennis at Wimbledon and sewing. I've been napping under the bed, but today I just couldn't resist my 'Nip banana.

What I Did Yesterday

OK, I didn't, but Mom did this:

 There's Basil, Thyme, Sage, Oregano, Marjoram, more Basil, Rosemary, more Basil, a Tomato and a lot more Basil.

 Well, this catnip I got is OUTSTANDING!  It makes me lose control.

Naturally I had to check these packages out.

Most of the stuff inside was pretty boring. A clock, a CD, a book and a bunch of bags.  But then there was the biggest box...

AND IT WAS FOR ME!!!! There is 'NIP in this box! Oh My Bast!

Oh, 'nip, 'nip, 'nip. Gimme some of that 'nip....




Mom says I have to write a review of the box, but I can't do that now. I want more of this wonderful 'Nip.

After Mom got dressed this morning she went outside to water her garden. When she came back in she brought me two sprigs of fresh 'Nip!

Actually, there are several plants in this one pot. Mom has trimmed the tops of the plants so they will get bushier.

Mom was very generous with the bits she clipped off, as you can see.

Teasing Tuxie Tuesday

Mom found out last year that although I love dried 'Nip, the fresh stuff is just DIVINE!  She cut a bit from my 'Nip plant and gave it to me.

I'm ashamed to say I completely lost control.

Then Mom thought she would be clever.

I may be a CAT, but I am not a STUPID cat.  I ain't gettin' in that thing no matter WHAT's in it.

Heh.
