Paws crossed.
Oh holy carp! Roger won his 8th Wimbledon title! Now he has 19 Major titles, more than anybody else! Woo Hoo!!

The Big W
Mom and I are watching the Gentlemen's Final at Wimbledon today. We are holding our collective breath and rooting for Roger Federer.
I would rather watch than play.
update: My beloved Roger did not win. He was outplayed by the defending champion, Novak Djokovic, who played awesome.
Oh well. Such is sport.

Millie Monday
I don't often nap on Mom's bed, but if I can get on it before she makes it up, it is a comfy spot.
It's that time of year again, the big W. It's gonna be all tennis all the time around here for the next "fortnight." Mom's picks are Roger Federer (duh!) and Andy Murray on the Men's side.
Mom's feeling better, and I make sure she takes a little rest every day.

Very Easy Like Sunday
The storm that brought us all the rain on Friday blew the Hots away and we have had very nice weather since. It has been sunny, warm and dry. Mom has been watching the tennis at Wimbledon and sewing. I've been napping under the bed, but today I just couldn't resist my 'Nip banana.

Millie Monday
Mom finished her Chicken quilt yesterday. She spent practically all weekend sewing the binding. She was so involved she "forgot" to help me blog.
As you can see I was a little bit annoyed. Still, the Tennis starts at Wimbledon today, and that means Mom will be watching, and I will be able to get lots of scritches.
And it means there's another quilt to cover with my furs!

Breakfast at Wimbledon
It is the Gentlemen's Final at Wimbledon, and I am watching with Mom. Wild horses couldn't drag me away.
Mom and I are rooting for Andy Murray. I have my paws crossed.
See you later.

Sweet Saturday
It's hot out. Mom already has the air colditioner running in the living room, and she moved my foods dishes in there so it is more comfortable for me.
Somebody asked if we were watching Wimbledon this year.
Well like, duh!

Whapping Saturday
In a couple of hours the Ladies final will be played at Wimbledon. Two lady beans will hit a ball around. I like to whap stuff. I would really like to whap the ball in this video.
Stupid Blogger only lets you see half of the video, so click this link: Wooden Xylophone, and go to You Tube to watch the whole thing. It is really cool.
Really cool. A wooden ball that plays Bach. I bet I could make some fun noise if I had a toy like that!
Here's a link to a video that shows how they did it. It's in Japanese, so I don't know what they're saying, but if I can figure it out, I bet you can!

It's Over!
It's over! The American, John Isner, won that epic marathon match at Wimbledon! Wow! I am glad I will be able to say I watched the whole thing!

Stay-Cation, Day 4
I am -so lucky- simply to be here today! You have No Idea! I almost died yesterday, watching Roger play at Wimbledon! Oh. Oh. Oh! It was positively heart-stopping!I know you're going to say I should be rooting for Raffa, the young Spaniard, and I do like him very much, but my heart belongs to Roger. When I moved to my forever home almost four years ago and the tennis was on, I watched Roger, and I thought he was just wonderful.
So when Roger, the defending Champion, was two sets and a break down (in the first round at The Big W), and the other guy was serving for the match, my heart was in my throat. I almost couldn't watch! But Roger suddenly found his mojo and won the match.
Phew!
The rest of the day was very anticlimactic by comparison.

Still Here...
Missy-the-woofie is still here. She slept on Mom's bed. With Mom!
I don't sleep on Mom's bed, but it's still MY SPOT.
Yesterday Mom took Missy-the-woofie away, but when she came back, Missy was with her.
Drat.
Mom says that she will go home with Mim-may later today.
Later.
After we cheer and root for both Roger and Andy.
It's gonna be a rough day.
On the plus side,
this is the first day in weeks and weeks and weeks that we have had sunshine and NO CLOUDS!

Wild Saturday
It's bad enough that this is the weekend of the SNAP! POP! BOOM! as Angus warned us about. But when Mom dashed to the store between tennis matches yesterday, Mim-may stopped by and left something.
You can probably tell by the expression on my face I am not to happy about it.

It's Missy-the-woofie.
In MY cat cup.
(Millie, you never, ever, get in that cat cup.)
Phfft. I don't care. Lookit, here she is in my special cat bed Monty's Mom made for me:
After the tennis was over yesterday, and Our Andy beat Fat Eric's Andy, Mom took Missy out. But when Mom came back, Missy came back too.
Drat.
Missy is staying with us for three whole days while Mim-may and Pip-pay visit friends in Connect-i-cat.
Sigh.
Happy Fourth of July!

Gizzy Quilt Raffle Winner
Mom made this house for Rusty, the winner of the Gizzy Quilt Raffle. Can you see Rusty in the window?Mom and I are watching Tennis today. We are rooting for Roger Federer, and while we know Fat Eric is rooting for Andy Murray, we have to support our own Andy, Andy Roddick.

Millie Monday
There is another tennis tournament starting today in Faz's neighborhood. It's Wimbledon, and it will be on TV.
Need I tell you which crazy bean Mom will be glued to the TV for the next couple of weeks?
Yeah, mine. This works for me though, because I can get lots of scritches from her while she watches. At least until she freaks me out when she jumps out of her chair when somebody makes a good point.
Beans are weird.
Go Roger!

Breakfast at Wimbledon
Mom did it. The house is clean. Lookit the floor of the sewing room "Before."
Now look at it "After."
Mom sorted all her fabric bits. She organized all the tools. She dragged the rug sucking monster all over the room.
After that, she did the kitchen and the bathroom. She washed all the dishes and the pots and pans. She washed the walls of the inside rain room. Then she moved into the dining room, and then her bedroom and the living room, and lastly, the computer room. It wasn't any fun for me. I had to keep finding new places to hide.
AND... we watched Venus win Wimbledon.
Well, Mom did; I watched the birds outside.
This morning, we will be watching Roger and Raffa compete for the Gentlemen's Final. We'll be watching on the Picture Box. Faz' people have tickets and will be there in person. Mom is -so- jealous!
And I'll probably be more interested in the birds outside.
