I am sorry I haven't been blogging regularly. Mom and I have been wicked busy.
Last month (wow, has it been that long?) Mom and Mim-may and I flew to Chicago. Here I am in the airport. I've been to lots of airports. Airports are no big deal.
From Chicago we went to Colorado, a very big, very square state "out west." This picture was taken at Kenosha Pass, 10,000 feet above sea level. That's high. In our house in New Hampster, we are 318 feet above sea level.
See? I really was there.
During the 9 days we were in Colorado we did a lot of nothing, and some neat stuff, but I didn't pose for many pictures. Mom has been very bizzy with her day-hunting gig (she says they are short-handed and she is doing the jobs of 3 people) and that's why she hasn't been able to help me blog as much.
I'm trying to get her to see the error of her ways. She's been posting stuff on her other blog that should have been posted here, but I think she got into a rut. I've told her in no uncertain terms that she has to get back in the saddle (to use a Colorado term) and help me post more often.
In the meantime, we are both watching Wimbledon and rooting for my favorite guy, Roger Federer.
Some things never change.

Silly Sunday
Cats can do anything.
We can climb.
We can hitchhike on a moose.
We can get along with anybody.
We can navigate using a map.
(Well, maybe not so much... Mom says driving around in a circle isn't the same thing.)
Of course, if we hadn't gotten lost, we would not have found the mountain man.
We are glad we are not lobsters.
Very glad.
Still, no matter how many silly or not silly things we do, vacations are fun!

What I Did Yesterday in Belfast Maine.
We went for a walk around the harbor.
Kathy was worried about me falling into the water so she held on to me real tight. She said it was windy and she was concerned. Sigh. I am a CAT. I mean, really? Still, it was nice to know I was in good hands.
Well, maybe not. I'm not sure I want to try pole dancing again.
That was exhausting. Even my tail was tired!!!!
I need a drink. Wait, where's the booze? I think I need some... Waiter!
This is more like it. I like people watching, and waiting for the birds to come back to these spiffy houses.
You didn't think Mom and I would miss the local quilt shop, did you?
Pole dancing notwithstanding, Mom and I are having a good time.

I am in China!
Really and truly! I am in China Maine. Or at least I was yesterday. Then we went to Mexico, then to Norway and finally we ended up in Belfast.
See?
We ate Vietnamese Noodle Soup (also known as Pho, but pronounced "fuh") for dinner. It had BEEF in it.
Mom got Espresso Coffee ice cream for dessert.
And I made friends with Miranda. She is a geezer kitty, lots older than I am and she is deaf.
Mom and I are on a mini vacation here in Maine, and we are having a good time. Happy Fourth of July!!
As for my "traveling bag" in yesterday's photo, that is Mom's summer purse.

Thursday Things
Mom loves to cook, and she loves to eat. After the first day, she tried to take pictures of everything she ate. So here is a little tour.
Huevos Rancheros from Foxy's in Glendale.
Fried Chicken at Musha in Torrance.
Fish Tacos at Pancho's
Salsa and Chips at Pancho's in Manhattan Beach.
Mochi Ice Cream from J.sweets at the Japanese Market in Torrance.
Cereal with Bananas at Mr Karate and Rubylocks's.
Guacamole & Shrimp Cocktail at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in Malibu.
(Oops) Oysters at Sushi Yoshi in Torrance. (Mom says the sushi here was awesome!)
A custom made box of candies from See's.
Parmesan Crusted Mahi-Mahi, sauteed with Panko, Macadamia Nuts, lemon and capers, with bok choy Asian slaw and "house" rice at Duke's Malibu. Mom says this was far and away one of the Top Five things she has ever eaten!
Salted Caramel cupcake from Manhattan Beach Creamery.
Mom really liked this Strawberry Basil Cooler from Duke's Malibu (Absolut Citron, Basil, fresh Lemonade & Strawberries). It was totally awesome, and as you can see, I thought it was pretty good too.

Wacky Wednesday
Only Mom could get excited by this:
and this:
It was the farmer's market, and Mom spent lots of green papers there.

Being the good guest that I am, I even helped with dinner.
even though I certainly didn't eat any of this yukky green stuff.
However both Yoda and I were very interested in these. Mom and I are having a good time here in Catifornia with Mr Karate & Rubylocks.

Pinkie & Blue Boy
No, I am not talking about cats. I am talking about two famous paintings.
This is Pinkie.
Mom traipsed around the gardens at the Huntington with Mr Karate & Rubylocks.
They saw lots of cool things,
including a man who made trees out of concrete.
Cats were not allowed. (It was too hot anyway.) Yoda and I stayed home, napped and hung out.

This is Blue Boy. You can read their "official" stories here. You know Mom. She's an Art nut, and she always loves to look at pictures. She was very happy to have an opportunity to see these two at the Huntington Library.
Mr Karate had to ham it up. At least he got the shirt color right.

Flying Millie Monday
Yup, cats & kits, I am in the City of Angels.
I am a very good traveler, but I was not the only four footed furry passenger, however.
Mom says this little guy was considered a "personal item." Mom makes cuter totebags.
It was fun to look down on the clouds below.
Mom liked watching the map to see where we were. We knew the air was cold way up at 37,973 feet, but holy Bast! Minus 62° F (-52C) !!! Eek!
Lookit THIS. The City of Angels is GIGANTIC!
Yoda and I, getting to know each other. He was very eager to hear all I know about training humans. I emphasized the need for using small words and speaking slowly.
