Tuesday Tippy-Tapping

Mom is back to working with her papers. Last night she started scribbling on them. She hasn't done any tippy-tapping, although she says that's coming.

 Naturally I snoopervised.

The Big Deal!!!

Mom has done it! She has finished the "first draft" of her tippy-tapping project. Here is the result of all her work:

Yup, that's it. Just a stack of paper.  277 pages, to be exact. Mom says that Mister Soft Word told her there are seventy-nine thousand seven hundred twenty-four words on all these pieces of paper.

All I can tell you is that they all have writing on them, but Mom being as tricksey as she is, she won't be showing you yet.  But you know what the weirdest thing is? Now that she's got it all done, she's going to put it in a box to sit all by itself.

Mom says she'll take it out when the snow is all gone, and then she'll start "murdering her darlings."

Yeah, I don't get it either.

Here is the obligatory snow shot. It is a beautiful day, sunny and warm. (Well, warm for March!)

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

I hacked up a hairball last night after dinner. I felt really crappy, and spent the evening curled up against Mom while she tippy tapped away.

Mom held up FOUR fingers last night.

And I'm sure you've all heard about this article.

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

It's been very cold here, soMom and I have been snuggling together while we watch the tennis. We watched Sloan beat Serena and Roger beat Jo-Willie.

Mom was busy too. Last night she held up three fingers.

Fingers Friday

You wanted to know what the fingers meant? I'm trying to find an answer.

  Here is Mom's reply.

You say you can't see anything on the paper?

You say you can't read those letters?

Yeah. What can I say?  You all know my Mom well enough by now to know she isn't going to tell you anything she doesn't want you to know.  She's tricksy like that.

Happy Friday everybuddy.

New Year's Eve

Mom has been tippy-tapping like crazy every waking minute. I've had to meow especially loudly over the last couple of days to get her attention.

It's not really unusual though. Whenever she gets really deep into a project she is really excited about, the whole house just goes to pot.

Fortunately I am a cat. Not a pot. Mom never forgets me.  Even if I have to jump on all her papers to make sure she doesn't.

Happy New Year's Eve. See you next year!

Tuesday

Mom has been tippy tapping. When she does that she doesn't do the dishes, doesn't fold the laundry, doesn't make the bed. The house goes straight to pot.

Sometimes this can be a big advantage for me.

Feline Friday

After Mom's silly photo of me yesterday, I think we can all agree THIS photo is much better!

Mom doesn't like it when I spill the beans, but hey, I'm a cat and I'll spill knock over any beans I choose.  (Figuratively speaking, of course.) Anyways, Mom's big wordy project is why I haven't been visiting many blogs and leaving comments.  Please accept my humble apologies, but in this case, I'm on Mom's side. I really want her to get this wordy project done for so many reasons, I can't list them all here. Suffice it to say she wants to let the world know how important cats are, and how we small furry four pawed creatures make the world a better place.

The Reason Thursday

I may have told you once or twice that Mom's newest project involves words and the tippy tappy lapbox.

Here is proof.  The coffee table is covered in wordy paper. There are more piles of  wordy paper on the couch, and Mom sits in that empty spot every night, and tippy taps on the tippy tappy lapbox for HOURS! Mom -says- that I am the star of all those words, but I do not believe it.

Do you see her little digital camera in this picture? You do not, and that is why there have not been any photos of me on this blog lately.  I have told Mom in No Uncertain Terms this has to STOP, and the very least she can do is to make sure my lovely self is front and center of this blog each day.

This is not what I had in mind.

Have a happy Thursday!

Tuxie Tuesday with Toesies

The recliner is a great place to nap, and it's as good a place as any for a nice "baff."

I get the recliner all to myself when Mom sits on the couch and tippy taps.  She surrounds herself with paper when she does that. I like to jump onto the coffee table and push them on the floor.

Heh.

Tuxie Tattle Tale Tuesday

Mom was tippy tapping last night, and she was feeling pretty good, until she moved the laptop screen a bit. It didn't go as far as she wanted, so she pulled the whole laptop a bit closer to her, forgetting that the laptop doesn't run at all without the cord plugged in.

Yup, you guessed it. The cord fell out, and the screen went BLACK!

Mom said all the words on the bad werds list!!! She was jumping around, too, and then she started laughing and laughing.

She fixed the laptop and got it going again. She only lost a couple of paragraphs, but she put them back.

I thought it was pretty funny, but I gotta say it again... I'm so glad I'm a cat!

The Tippy-Tappy Tell-All

Hi! I have a story to tell you, gather round.

I've told you that Mom's doing a lot of tippy-tapping on the lapbox lately. She's still at it, and she's showing no signs of letting up. Yesterday she cleared the table in the sewing room and covered it with papers. She rearranged them, then drew squiggles on some parts, arrows on others, and big X's over other parts. Sometimes she'd pick up a piece of paper, rip in in half and throw it on the floor.I really don't know what the fuss is about. I've looked at these papers, and there's absolutely nothing special on any of them. I see my name, "Millie" over and over again, but I also see "Gizzy" and "Jasmine" and the words "quilting", "sewing" and "blog." None of that is out of the ordinary.

I'll be doing my best to make sure she doesn't wear her fingers out, or forget the important things in life (like -me-). You know how my Mom gets... she gets all revved up on something, and does nothing else, then after a while, she finds something else to do.

Now, don't mention anything to her about all this. Let's keep it a secret!

purrs,
