Millie on the Porch

It's really nice out. Finally! Mom has opened the front door and the window to the porch, so I am taking advantage of the lovely day by taking a baff in the sun.

It is very important to survey the world around me.

I am now 13 years old, a senior kitty. I have a good life, and am enjoying it with Mom.

Spring Is Coming

Every day Mom lets me go out on the front porch, even though the temperature is close to freezing. I get to stay out there for five minutes, and that's enough for me to scope out my territory and see what's going on.

However, when the weather is really nice, like when it's sunny and the temps are in the 40's F, Mom will let me out on the porch for a bit longer than that.  You can see me out there enjoying the weather.

It Was HOT, HOT, HOT!

It was really, really, really HOT yesterday.

Mom was very surprised to find me hanging out on the front porch instead of napping in the air-colditioned house.

What can I say? Warm air, nifty smells, bird and chipmunk TV? Why would I want to be anywhere else?

Morning Snow

It snowed late yesterday so when I woke up this morning everything had a pretty white coating of snow. Naturally I had to go out on the porch to see for myself.

I am fine, just not blogging so much, so don't worry about me. I'm not going anywhere.

Well, maybe back into the house. It's below freezing out here.

Napping on the Front Porch

Yesterday was very warm, and Mom had the A/C on inside, but I wanted to be out on the porch. I took a nap out there. It was great.

Formerly Feral Friday

When the sun is out first thing in the morning, and it is warm outside, Mom opens the door to the front porch to let the light shine in. This morning, I was already out there, having gone out through the window. Mom didn't want to bother me, so she left the storm door closed.  I am spending more time on the front porch these days.

Chipmunk TV

The Bird TV out here in the boonies of New Hampster is pretty good, but the Chipmunk and Skwirl TV are awesome too. Can you see the little guy I have got my eye on?

Wordy Wednesday

It is finally warm enough for Mom to leave the window to the front porch open so I can come and go as I please. In fact, Mom had to stick her arm through the window just to take this picture of me.

Where Am I Wednesday

It's a warm Wednesday morning, do you know where I am?

 

I'm on the front porch. Where else would I be?

It was in the 80s yesterday (29C). It was so warm last night Mom kept some windows open. It will be cooler than that for the next couple of days, but it will be "normal" for this time of year, so that is just fine with us.

Out in the Snow

The front porch is screened in, and that means if the snowflakes are small enough, and it is a bit breezy, we can get snow on the front porch.

Of course I had to investigate.

Snow is cold. I knew that.

Snow is WET. I did not know that. I do not like wet.

I went back into the house.

 It's snowing out there, and sometimes I have to be really sure if I want to go outside on the front porch to check it out. So this morning I took my time.

Eventually I decided to go out.

Mom is home with me today. She will be doing errands and sewing. I got to hang out on the front porch for about half an hour this morning. It was 22F outside, and I was perfectly comfortable. We got a little bit of new snow yesterday, so it looks like we should have a White Christmas.

Feline Friday

Every morning I ask Mom to let me go out onto the front porch. And even though the temperature outside is below freezing...

Mom lets me go out. Yes, there is some snow on the ground outside.  I stay out on the front porch for about ten minutes, surveying my domain (which is also the front garden), before I hop back inside for scritches from Mom and then a nap in my heated cat cup.

Tuesday Tuesday with White Stuff

Yup, that's me on the front porch, looking out at the snow yesterday morning. It wasn't that cold out, so I got to get up close and personal.  Today it is very windy, so Mom didn't let me out.

Sigh.

Wordless Wednesday

Frosty Morning

Yes, it's below freezing out.

 Yes, I still wanted to go out on the front porch.

Yes, Mom let me go.

Yes, I was FINE. I was out there for about fifteen minutes, enough to survey my domain, then I came back inside.

Tuxie Tuesday

So we had a frost over the weekend. That meant the temperature went below freezing. But yesterday the temperature went up into the 70s and last night it was in the 50s. It is supposed to be in the mid-70s today. This is called Indian Summer, and I like it.  It means I can spend the day on the front porch.

Fur Coat Friday

MOM! I wanna go OUT!  Please let me out onto the front porch.
