It was so nice this past weekend that Mom left the window open for me. I love having a front row seat to everything that goes on in this part of the neighborhood.

Where Am I Wednesday

It's a warm Wednesday morning, do you know where I am?

 

I'm on the front porch. Where else would I be?

It was in the 80s yesterday (29C). It was so warm last night Mom kept some windows open. It will be cooler than that for the next couple of days, but it will be "normal" for this time of year, so that is just fine with us.

Sun Puddle

Wow! Yesterday was nice, but Sunday was nicer! It got to be 60F. Mom opened windows and the door to the front porch. I spent a lot of time out there, but decided to lie in this nice sun puddle.

Spring is Here

It's Spring, and the weather guys say we are gonna get some snow.  How much depends on which weather guy you listen to. Some say 6 to 10 inches, some say less than three.  I don't really care, because it will melt really fast anyway, and won't last long.

I'll be here watching.

Spring Is Sprung!

There's a funny little poem that starts like this: "Spring is sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the flowers is..."Well, I don't see any green grass outside, and the flowers are still in the ground here in New Hampster, because we still have some SNOW outside. Sorry Madness, sorry Mac, you guys didn't win the When When Contest.What I think is really nice is the sun is out longer each day. Because you know, napping in the sun is the best.

It was a beautiful day yesterday, the sky was blue, the sun was shining, and it was very warm. Mom had windows open all over the house, and she kept some open all night. As you can see, I was very interested in the smells from outside.

Finally Friday, Finally Spring

Spring Has Sprung!

Here's what it looks like outside this morning.
This Forsythia bush is starting to bloom:
The trees are budding (Mom says this means she will start sneezing and her nose will run. Run how? It's stuck to her face.)
And the grass is starting to get nice and green.
These aren't the only things growing around here. Check out this shelf in the bookcase in Mom's sewing room.You can go back here to see it when she cleaned that room back in March. Yes, she has added to that pile of fabrics. Now the shelf is chock-full of stuff for projects that aren't Gizzy Quilts.

Well, let me re-phrase that. These projects ARE for Gizzy Quilts, but they are not the "Standard" Gizzy Quilt size. They will all be BIGGER. And they will be traveling.
