Where Am I Wednesday

It's a warm Wednesday morning, do you know where I am?

I'm on the front porch. Where else would I be?

It was in the 80s yesterday (29C). It was so warm last night Mom kept some windows open. It will be cooler than that for the next couple of days, but it will be "normal" for this time of year, so that is just fine with us.

Tuxie Tuesday

It was 80F here yesterday, and as you can see, Mom opened one of the big windows in the studio. I was able to see and smell everything. It was pawsome.

Then last night she opened the door to the porch, so I sat out there for a long time. It was good too!

Super Sunday

Why is today SUPER Sunday?  Check this out:

That's like, thirty degrees warmer than it was yesterday morning.  In New England, this is a HEAT WAVE.  Crusty New Englanders drive around with the windows open on their metal masheens on a day like this. They walk around with their coats open, and their gloves off.

Mom took some pictures of our house so you can see just how much snow we have.

We live on a hill, and when you come down the hill, this is what you see.

This is our driveway, and you can see a bit of Mom's Metal Masheen under the carport. (Mom has been calling it a "car tunnel" because there is so much snow.)

Lookit all this snow. It is all going to have to melt before we have a When When winner later this spring.  Can you see how high the snow is on our front lamp? It's really close to the sign with our name.  That window on the far right is where I am on my kitty condo...

taking care of bizness.

It'll probably get colder tomorrow, but for now it is fun to watch the snow melt.  Don't worry, there will be plenty for the big contest. It will start one week from today!

Still Warm

It was warm all day yesterday, and Mom left a couple of windows open for me so I could sniff the outdoors.  When she got home from her day hunting gig, I got to sit out on the porch again.

We live on a very, very, very quiet street. There are no motorcycles, no fast cars, no sirens, no streetlights, no people walking by talking or arguing. It is different outside, but I like it. There are lots of birds and skwirrls and chipmunks and other critters. We do see some folks walking their woofies every day. (Beau lives next door and Hector lives across the street.) The sky is dark out, and you can see lots more stars in the sky than at the old place.

The Porch

It was really warm (for October) when Mom got home from day-hunting last night, so she opened the door to the porch and let me go out there.  I stayed on the porch a long time, sniffing the outside and watching.

I really like the porch.

Millie Monday

It was sunny and warm yesterday. Mom opened some windows and I spent a lot of time sitting in them, looking out and sniffing the good smells.

Sunny Saturday

The weather is finally warming up. It should hit 70F (21C) today, and I think everybody can agree that makes a fine day.  Mom has already baked a batch of granola, run the laundry through the washing monster, and is going shopping later for some unmentionables. This afternoon she will go to a quilt show.

I shall nap in my cat hammock, or my tent, or my kitty condo.  What will you do?

Frigid Formerly Feral Friday

It is really cold out. It is 9F outside (that's almost -13C).  That's the kind of cold we usually have in late January. The average high temperature here in December is 38F (3C) and the average low temperature is 20F (-6.7C).

I am trying to stay warm on my fleecy pillow in the warmest room in the house.

I cannot tell you just how happy I am that I am a formerly feral kitty.

Easy Like Sunday

Mom has been opening the curtains so I can look at the world outside.  It will get warmer later, and Mom will open the windows.  Whee!

Warm Wordless Wednesday

(yes, it's plugged in!)
