Formerly Feral Friday

Even if it's 9 PM, I still want to check out what's happening outside.

Even if it is 40 degrees F.

Formerly Feral Friday

I am feeling much better. I have been eating everything in my food dish, and I even got treats last night. I am sleeping well and I haven't been bumping into things. I'm still not quite at 100 per cent but I'm much better. I even meowed at Mom this morning, but softly. My meow-er is still a little stiff and sore.

Scritches, of course, are always welcome.

Formerly Feral Friday

This quilt just came back from a big quilt show in Paducah Kentucky, so Mom hung it up on the wall.

Can you guess what I did?

Formerly Feral Friday

Sometimes I have to do all kinds of things to get Mom's attention. Taking a bath on the dining room table is one of them. She's got turkey on the brain, and a whole long list of things to do before the big day next week. We're having eight beans come visit, and naturally Mom is pulling out all the stops.

Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

Formerly Feral Friday

Sometimes I have to resort to drastic measures to get Mom's attention. Last night she came home from day hunting almost two hours LATE.  She had been shopping. She bought shoes and pants and a red leather jacket.

Then she stayed up late watching my pals, the guys named Pat, wallop the Fins. And she channel surfed to watch Project Runway at the same time. I was practically ignored.

So this morning I let Mom know how I felt by taking a bath on the dining room table. A kitty [me] can get away with this if it was a feral. Otherwise I suppose it shows bad manners.

And this is about as close as I am going to get, displaying my 'tocks in Tocktober.

Happy Friday, pals!

Formerly Feral Friday

With all the snow on the ground, and the temp outside of 4F (feels like -13 (-25C) with the wind), I cannot tell you how happy I am to be formerly feral. I am so glad I have a nice warm home with a loving Mom who spoils me with love.

You probably won't be surprised to hear that we are supposed to have MORE SNOW on Saturday night. That's one of the few times I am glad I don't have opposable thumbs, because I'd be asked to help shovel the stuff.

Millie on Patrol

Every morning I survey my territory.

I make sure everything is in order.

I am alert to everything around me.

I see it all.

Have a happy Friday, friends!

Formerly Feral Friday

When Mom bought me the first kitty condo, I didn't go near it for a week.

But this one, I liked right away.

Don't tell Mom, but the reason I like this kitty condo is where it is in the house. I can see everything that goes on around here, inside and outside.

I'll sit on the other kitty condo when Mom is in that room working.

Or whenever.

Formerly Feral Friday

For all of you worried about how I am going to "handle" the M-word next week, let me assure you I will come through with flying colors. I have been M-word-ed from one home to another three times already. The only thing different this time is that all my Human's stuff is coming along this time.

Rest assured kitties, that I am at the very tippy-top of Mom's list. I am what she is most concerned about. My needs will be taken care of First. My things will be set up First. Mom has been telling her quilting buddies that she will set up her sewing room first, and she will. AFTER she sets up my stuff.  Her plan is to set up the Office first.

See the three windows on the front of the house? Those are the office. My kitty condo will be right in front of those windows. This side of the house gets the sun all day so it will be very cozy.

Mom and I are both furry excited.

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom and I are both happy it is Friday. The weather is supposed to get warmer, so we hope the ice in the driveway will melt so Mom won't have to worry about falling.

I have also been reminding her to get the list of guesses up for the When When Contest. Mom spent most of last weekend cleaning the house, so she has no excuse this weekend.

Stay warm, kitties!

Hey Mom, you coming to sit with me? Hurry up.

Frigid Formerly Feral Friday

It is really cold out. It is 9F outside (that's almost -13C).  That's the kind of cold we usually have in late January. The average high temperature here in December is 38F (3C) and the average low temperature is 20F (-6.7C).

I am trying to stay warm on my fleecy pillow in the warmest room in the house.

I cannot tell you just how happy I am that I am a formerly feral kitty.

Formerly Feral Friday

I don't mind posing for Mom when she takes pictures with her iFone. It doesn't flash bright lights into my eyes and it takes nice pictures too.

I'm a lucky formerly feral feline. I have a great home and a spiffy kitty condo.  Mom says I'm overdue for a visit to the v-e-t. That wouldn't be a big deal if she could just pick me up anytime she wanted, but I'm not that kind of kitty. In that case, I'm still just plain feral.

Formerly Feral Friday

I like napping in the laundry basket, especially when it's full of nice warm stuff.

Formerly Feral Friday

It's supposed to be warm today. Mom has a couple of windows open for me, and she pulled the curtains apart so I can watch the antics of the folks next door.

Mom is at it again, this time she cleaned out the kitchen cupboards.  See this stuff? Mom says it's all past the experate, exrate, operation... oh whatever. Mom says it's too old, so it has to go.  Mr Karate used to say that Mom's kitchen was the "kitchen of endless possibilities." Mom says the possibilities can still be endless with less stuff.

She's even been clearing out the cookbook bookcase!!  You should see the stack of cookbooks she has put aside to give away.

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom's been busy with Christymass-y stuff this week. The man in the bloo shorts brought packages to Memphis, to Catifornia and to Mary Land. He also brought pressies to Ore-a-gon and put our Secret Paws package on a jet plane for a long trip.  Mom baked some cookies and will be baking more this weekend. The house is a mess and she doesn't like it. She has been trying to get her daily tippy-tapping in too.

I have no such responsibilities. I simply eat, bathe, play and nap in addition to my job as snoopervisor. Happy Weekend everybuddy!

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom has finally finished the quilt she has been working on since February.  You can see it over on her blog. That means now she'll clean the house.  I am storing up my energy to fur it up again afterwards.

Heh.

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom had kind of a rough day yesterday day hunting.  She got home snarky and upset. There are two ways to fix this.  One is to sit on her lap, the other is to get her into her sewing studio.  She chose sewing. I was nearby, keeping an eye on her.

I'm glad the weekend is here. She needs to do something for herself. I have been sleeping near her at night, and napping close by when she reads her Kindle.  It is good work, and I wouldn't have it if I wasn't a formerly feral kitty.

Formerly Feral Friday

Look, I know it's been sunny and warm out, but I LIKE it here on the plum chair when it's covered with a quilt.  I'm formerly feral. I can do what I want.

Formerly Feral Friday

I am happy to say Mom has given up trying to wrassle me into the PTU for a trip to the stabby place. I have been camped out under the bed all week (so no pictures). Mom puts my treats in the PTU, and I eat them when she isn't around. Heh.

It has been a very nice stay-cation. Mom's been sewing, watching the tennis, and reading. She was kinda bummed her favorite player, Roger Federer was knocked out of the tournament the other night. Now she is rooting for Andy Murray and David Ferrer, although after watching Novak Djokovic beat Juan Martin Del Potro last night, she doesn't think anybody can stop Novak from taking the whole thing.

Mr Karate is off gallivanting in Catifornia. Last we heard he was in San Ho-say. If any of you Catifornia kitties see him, give him a high paw.

Tootles!
