These are my favorite little sticky people. They are my fairy odd-kids and they live over at Monty's house, but they are just as much mine as they are his. I love them.Mom does too.

This is how it is at my house, when my Mom has just finished a big project. The project is finished, but the house is a huge mess. There is a pile of clean laundry on the sofa waiting to be folded. The bed has not been made in several days. There are dirty dishes everywhere in the kitchen, the dining room table is covered in stuff, and the sewing studio... omigoodness, it's like a fabric bomb exploded in there....
She saw many butterflies and took many pictures. The butterflies were too fast for her most of the time. But not always. This one, an Emerald Swallowtail, is from Southeast Asia and was about 3" across.
Here are the Red Velvet Cupcakes that Mom made for the party. Mim-may passed them around to the nurses on the floor, and Mim-may's doctor even came by and had one!
Mr Karate brought Mim-may some flowers. Me, I'm not big on flowers (I prefer 'Nip), but even I can see this is a hum-dinger of a bouquet. Mim-may was very happy.
A good time was had by all, and it will be a birthday party nobody will ever forget!
This is Mom with the coming home quilt she made for Mooshie!
You know your Mom is really weird when she picks the stupid leafy green stuff from her garden, and puts in on her desk at her day hunting gig. She says a bouquet like this is almost better than flowers.
Her birthday is next week, and she wants a Red Velvet birthday cake with Cream Cheese frosting. (this won't happen unless she bakes the cake herself, which she very well might do.)
This is my hideout. Mom attached a shelf to the seat of this orange stool when she noticed it was the same height as the windowsills. The shelf rests on the windowsill, so I have a nice big place to nap and watch the world go by. There's a colorful old beach towel on the shelf, and on top of that is a Gizzy quilt.
She gave me some fresh cut 'Nip right out of her garden.
Yes, it was THAT good.
Now if she would just leave me alone to enjoy it in peace...

We still have the Hots, and I am spending a lot of time right here, in front of the air colditioner. Yet another one of the benefits of being formerly feral.
I like A Few Good Cats' term, chill chest. So that's what I'm gonna call it from now on. What can I say about it? It's white, it's new, and it's big.
Then she moves to the freezer, and starts emptying the ice cube trays. She puts the ice in zipper plastic bags and then empties out the dried bread, piling up the bags of six million different kinds of nuts, stacking up the bags of frozen fruit and vegies.
In this picture Mom took, you can hardly see the red in the thermometer, but you have to believe me, it was almost 98F out! Mom kept the blinds closed most of the day to keep the sun out.
I am finding all the cool spots to nap.
This is some cool patriotic fabric Mom saw on eQuilter. If you live in the USA, you should check out Google's home page today. There is a Rube Goldberg Google Doodle that actually works!
