Sometimes when Mom gets the flashy box out, I look in the other direction.
It's true.
Mom says I am a Prima Donna. I'm going to take that as a compliment.

Thursday Thought
OK Mom, the snow is gone, when is it gonna get warm out? When can we open the windows?
When can we plant my 'Nip?
Huh?

Thursday Thoughts
Prancer Pie, you will not win the When When Contest. There is still snow outside, as you can see.
All the snow across the street is gone. What we are watching now is the pile next door:
It's melting fast, and we could have a winner in a matter of days. Mom's going to have to make a trip to the store that sells the Evil Little Chocolates soon. Mom has also purchased a deck of playing cards featuring "Famous Cats of the Internet" as a gift also. You can buy a set here, and you can also purr-sonalize your own deck! The best thing is that 100% of the money all goes to Stray Cat Alliance.
Mom is annoyed because Blogger is being a pest and will not let her delete any names from the When When Contestants list. Oh well.
In other news, Mom claims to have hard and fast evidence that I have been drinking from the new fountain. She says the water level was noticeably lower when she got home from day hunting last night, so she filled it to the brim, and this morning, the water level was down again.
Mom hasn't actually seen me drink from the fountain, so she can't prove it's me. I'm certainly not going to tell her. It's much more fun to keep her guessing.

Thursday Thoughts
Only two more sleeps until Mom's on stay-cation. She will be watching tennis and sewing on her quilts. We are both looking forward to it.

Thursday Thoughts
1. I love it when Mom brings me a new scratching pad. I especially love it when it's covered in 'Nip!
2. I am an absolutely totally black and white kitty. I have NO brown furs. Mom says the funny brown in the photo above is nothing but a shadow or a result of digital flashibox weirdness.
3. Kimo, GO HOME! I'm worried about you!

Thinking on Thursday
Ha ha! Last week I did not have something thoughtful to say. But not this week. This week, I am ready!
In April, just after all the snow melted, Mom built this box near the side of the house and filled it full of DIRT! I thought she was crazy. Then she planted some seeds in it. I thought it was a big waste. This box of dirt won't get more than an hour or two of sun during the day.
But one month later, green stuff started growing in the box of dirt. Mom says there is fresh Spinach, Arugula, and Mesclun mix lettuces.
A month after that and Mom had already harvested all the Arugula (I like to call it Roo-Gala), and the spinach was going to seed. Mom has planted more Spinach, and more Arugula, and more of the Mesclun mix and some other let-us.
Every day she goes out to pick some of these green leaves to eat. I think green leaves are stupid, but hey, Mom's happy, so I'm not complaining. Mom is VERY happy.
Impressive though this box is, you should see what is growing out back!
Last summer Mom bought this little kiddie pool, but she never got around to planting anything in it.
This year she filled it with dirt and planted some seeds. She covered the dirt with brown cloth so the weeds (and bad mannered neighbor cats) wouldn't mess up the baby plants she hoped to grow.
You should have heard the stupid upstairs next-door neighbor snicker when he saw what Mom had done. He used words like "crazy" and some other mean things. He didn't know Mom could hear him talking bad about her. She just chuckled, "Just wait, Millie," she told me, "my garden is going to be so nice, he's going to eat his words."
Two weeks later, the plants in the kiddie pool were growing! Lookit these three! Mom says the big one is Zucchini, the next one is Yellow Squash, and the teeny one is Cucumber. I thought those words were getting big enough to eat.
But holy cow! Lookit those plants now! Mom took this picture when she got back from day-hunting yesterday, and she says those leaves are gigantic.
She's pretty excited, because she found this under those big leaves!
I am thinking my Mom may be crazy, but I think she's crazy like a CAT!
Heh!

Thinking Thursday
I was just thinking:
1. Mom put the coldbox in the window in her bedroom. It makes it a lot comfier for me to lie on the bed while I watch the birdies out the other window. My Mom is so thoughtful.
2. Mom said the Em Are Eye was a piece of cake, except it was a noisy sucker. She didn't need the drugs, didn't want the music, and wished she had had some earplugs. Can't say I blame her except I would have liked a nice juicy piece of BEEF!
3. It's hot out.
4. Umm...
5. I want the Boston Bruins to win Sir Stanley's Cup. (Mom said I had to put that in.)

Thursday Thoughts
The snow is finally melting! Will today be The Day? Will the snow be all gone when Mom posts a picture when it is finally light enough to see?
I do not know. I am thinking we will have a winner of the When When Contest very soon. Who will it be?
Is it you, Obi?
Nope.
Sorry, Obi. The snow is still out there.

This is the weather forecast for the next five days. It tells Mom we should have a winner soon. If your beans measure how warm it is outside using Cell-sius instead of Fair-en-height, you can do the conversion here: Temperature Converter.
I am thinking if you are the winner, Mom and I will need to know two things:
1. What is your favorite flavor of Tempations Treats?
2. Does your Mom (0r Dad) prefer Milk of Dark Chocolate?
I like Beef Temptations, and Mom likes Milk Chocolate. (Yeah I know, she's a wimp.)

Thursday Three
1. I really like it when the heating monster works.
2. The FOX is not alone. There is a DOG with him, but neither will cause me any grief because they are both on a QUILT!
3. Mom just discovered the stats on my blog readership, and apparently I have readers from Brazil, the Netherlands, Ireland and Russia. Wow!

Thursday Thoughts
The Hots have gone. Mom's got the windows closed. I'm spending most of my time on anything fleece I can find (fortunately there is -lots- of it around) and on the fleece pillow in my nifty tent. The tent is up against the heater, so it's going to be nice and toasty once the heating monster going.
Mom says not yet.
Oh and she says the upstairs next-door neighbors are being really obby-nox-ess. Actually, that's not the word Mom said. Mom used a few words from the bad werds list. Dunno what that's all about, but it's really got her upset.
Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a Cat?

Thursday Thoughts
You know your Mom's in trouble when it's 7:45 in the morning, and she's chasing you around with the little camera so she can get a picture to put on your blog.
This is how it is at my house, when my Mom has just finished a big project. The project is finished, but the house is a huge mess. There is a pile of clean laundry on the sofa waiting to be folded. The bed has not been made in several days. There are dirty dishes everywhere in the kitchen, the dining room table is covered in stuff, and the sewing studio... omigoodness, it's like a fabric bomb exploded in there....
Mom's excuses are 1. She just finished the big quilt for Julie. 2. She just finished her little quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap. 3. It was her & Mim-may's birthday last week. 4. Mim-may was in the hospital. 5. It's been wicked HOT. 6. The new chill chest sucked up a lot of time...
I do have to admit she hasn't forgotten ME... Fresh stinky goodness and a nice bowl of water every day, fresh crunchies to nibble on, treats at my regular time, and scritches whenever I ask... so she isn't a complete failure.
Thank goodness.

Random Thoughts on Thursday

1. I guess I still have to be careful when I post pictures of my tummy. Poor Monty. First I forget his birthday, then this.
2. It's cold out. Really. It's like 52F out, which is like 11C. Damn cold for June, I'm telling you.
3. Mom's all wrapped up in swapping babies for the Doll Quilt Swap 9. You all know how she is... if it's not one thing, it's another.
4. OK, that's all I have time for, because Mom has gotta go day hunting. (She's gotta keep me in stinky goodness!)
