We still have "company." Yesterday Mom, 'Rhette and Mr Karate went to the Currier Museum of Art,
and today they are going to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Mom made Mr Big some special cookies as a Christymas present. Roxy really, really, wanted one! She didn't get a cookie, but Mom said both she and Lucky
There is a terrific pink 'Nip mousie, some salmon fishy flakes and a tin of terrific treats! There was even a special present for Mom! Thank you so much Angus & Chrissie!
LC will get a prize package with some shiny toy mice, a squiggle, some Temptations treats and a box of chocolates that DKM calls ''evil."
(Mom says that means they are like primo 'Nip, which means they must be very good.)
The hot-as-hell box is getting a workout today. Mom's baking more homemade bread and cookies. Cheese bread and Snickerdoodles this time, along with more English Muffin Bread.
This past weekend, the whole fambly came over to decorate our Christymas tree. When they left, the lady looked like this:
Mom doesn't know who did it.
Ha ha ha! I'm not telling!
Mom and I are having fun covering the door with Christymas cards. We love getting them every day, reading them together, and hanging them on the door. They are great, the pictures are wonderful, but Mom says the envelopes and stamps are almost as much fun.
Wow! This is my 1,000th post. Who'd a thunk getting hit by a car was the best thing to happen to me? Funny how your life can change in the blink of an eye.
I guess PlusOne liked it too, when he was here Saturday night. Those are his feets.
Of course, I fit better than he does.
The fambly came over last night to help decorate the Christymas tree. Mom put TWO chick-hens in the hot as hell box. I got a bit, and it was good. But mostly I stayed out of the way. With such a big day yesterday, Mom will not be doing much today. Finally she is taking it easy. Like me.
I sure wouldn't ever have become a Quality Assurance Inspector of Quilts if I was still a feral kitty. (Mom says I wouldn't be so "well-fed" either.) It sure is nice to be in a forever home that is nice and warm. (It is raining ice outside today.) Mom has been wrapping Christymas packages for KidBean and SweetBean, and we selected pressies for my Secret Paw! All kinds of stuff will be flying out of here over the next couple of days.
Skeeter has gone to the Bridge. He was a great Mancat, and will be sorely missed. Please go by and leave LC, Ayla and TBT some purrs. This picture was taken last year when Skeeter was investigating his new Gizzy quilt.
Mom says this is a Bread Maker. (It looks like a bucket to me.) It has a clamp to keep it on the shelf (Mom says it clamps to a table or counter), and a cranky handle.
The crank turns a hook inside, but you can't see it because of the metal cover. Printed on the cover are destructions (ok, Mom calls them instructions, but I like destructions better) for using this thing.
Now that Mom's finished with that great big quilt, she is bringing up more of the Christymas decorations. This is me and my Holiday Gizzy Quilt.
When the furniture is all moved around so Mom and Mr Karate finish up the quilt, the best thing to do is find a place to take it easy. (The instrument is Mr Karate's cello. It is not a bass of any kind, double or king.)
This is the fabric for the back of the pretty quilt Mom is making for ------------. I am doing a Quality Assurance check, making sure the material is warm and soft and well loved. The top is almost finished, and Mom and Mr Karate will work on it later tonight.
