Stay-Cation, Day 2

I did not think washing the windows was on the plan for stay-cation, but I might have been wrong about that. This is the kitchen window. Know what's wrong with it?Mom took the windows out last night to wash them.Yup, she washed them while she watched golf-on-the-rocks.
I don't get it. I'm doing -my- bit according to plan.

Mom says I should tell the -whole truth-.

In addition to washing a couple of windows, and putting a dimmer switch on the ceiling fan in the sewing room, Mom did some sewing yesterday, did a little food hunting, visited a quilt shop, and went to the movies with Mr Karate.

(Mom says Toy Story 3 is -awesome-; that watching the "Spanish" Buzz Lightyear alone is worth the price of admission, but the movie is not for kids under 4.)

They went out to dinner afterward, ate steak, bacon-wrapped scallops and ribs, did some clothes hunting for Mr Karate, and kitchen-gizmo hunting for Mom.

Mom says that was an awesome start to her stay-cation vacation.

So what's the plan for today? Well, after the obligatory change-the-sheets and empty-the- dishwasher and wash-another-couple-of-windows, it's go see Mr Karate & PlusOne play in their recital, and more sewing and more golf-on-the-rocks.

You can find me in the cat hammock.

Mysterious Monday

What do you get when you have one gigantic bowl of fruit, one woofie, one birthday boy,
two cousins, two cellos, two apple tarts, two dads, two sisters,
three black belts, three moms, four different households, five different jars of jelly, six things to eat (fruit, bacon, tart, muffins, granola and eggs) and seven beans who ate everything?

One cat hiding under the bed, that's what.

Musical Monday

Yes, that's Mr Karate playing cello.

I want to thank everybody for the birthday wishes I received yesterday. It was very thoughtful and I enjoyed reading them. Thank you.

Mom had to go to her day hunting gig because one of her servants was stuck waking up. They all take little naps on Sunday morning, and get back up by themselves, but one got stuck. Mom had to drive over and give it a nudge. Let's hope it doesn't get in the habit of doing that every week.

Too Quick Thursday

I was sniffing Mr Karate's cello, peeking out from behind it, when Mom saw me and grabbed the camera.

Ha ha ha! I was too quick for her. She didn't get the cute picture she wanted. Too bad!

And as for Monty Q, I really don't know anything. I don't! Nobody tells me anything, because we all know how I can't keep a secret. Of course, I'm not any good at lying either.

Easy Like Sunday

When the furniture is all moved around so Mom and Mr Karate finish up the quilt, the best thing to do is find a place to take it easy. (The instrument is Mr Karate's cello. It is not a bass of any kind, double or king.)
