It's December!

It's December first, and Mom brought out the Santa Claus music box. He is the first thing Mom puts out for the Christymas decorations and I am always very excited every year when this happens.

This was me the first Christymas at my new furrever home. As you can see, I liked the Santa even then.

Nowadays, I like getting scritches from Mom while she eats her breakfast. As you can see she has set out the Christymas table quilt.  And isn't it nice that she left my nice basket out for me.

Christymas is Coming!

Lookit what I found on the front porch this morning! No, not the hummingbird feeder. See those boxes on the left? Those are all the Christymas decorations. 

Whee!!!

Finally Friday

Mom has been putting out more Christymas decorations... I like the bird in the lamp.

The Christymas tree is ready for decorating. Mom says we will do that later today.

I'm furry excited about that.

Thursday Thing

Lookit! Mom hung my Christymas stocking!!! 

 It's still empty, but I am sure come Christymas morning it will be filled with 'Nip and treats. Mom says we will put the tree up this weekend.  I can't wait.

Getting Ready for Christymas...

As you can see Mom switched the table quilt from the Turkey Day one to the Christymas one. You can see our Santa, and this year's Amaryllis plant. That box over at the other end of the table contains some Christymas presents for the family that Mom had specially made. More on that later. Lots later, because Mom doesn't want to spoil the surprise.

What's on the computer? Something really special...

It's this year's Jacquie Lawson advent calendar. You can get more information here. Mom loves these, and has been getting them every year for a while now. This year she gave them to all her day hunting pals. Every day there is a surprise and something to do. Mom and I already decorated the big tree and made snowflakes.

Our tree isn't up yet, but Mom says it's coming.

Right now it's in the bathtub. Yeah, I don't get it either, but hey, I'm only a cat.  How are you getting ready for Christymas?

It's Coming!

Christymas is coming! Mom has been putting out some Christymas things. This is the new snow globe she brought home the other day.

along with this silver stick wreath. Mom will probably add a bow to it once she finds unpacks the ribbon.

I'm resting up now, because I'm going to be awake all night, waiting for Santy Claws. I'll be tracking him on the way here.

Christymas is Coming!

Lookit!  Mom got the Christymas tree out of the shed. She promises to decorate it later.

It is already Christmas in many places in the world, and I am tracking Santa Claus as he makes his deliveries.  You can track him at NORAD, or on Google.

I can't wait.

Easy Like Sunday

Mom's got all her Christy-mas preparations finished. The presents are all wrapped and are under the Christy-mas tree. I can see a bulge in my Christy-mas stocking, so I know there's something in there for me. There's homemade bread rising in the kitchen

Mom even finished the quilt she was working on.  All that's left now is the cleaning up.

Heh.

It's Coming...

Oh lookit! It's my Christy-mas stocking. It is WAY bigger than any of my feets. I can't wait to see what Mom fills it up with.

No tree yet, but I'm on the lookout.

So Soon Sunday

Christymas is coming real soon!  Mom and I hope you like our new Red look for the Holiday Season. Mom baked her bread this morning, and I am snoopervising while Mom tippy-taps.

Toys! Toys! Toys!

Oh Bast!

Mom decorated the tree last night. It's full of fun toys to bat around. Not only does the tree smell good, but I can sharpen my claws on the tree trunk and Mom doesn't mind!  Oh lucky, lucky, lucky me!

It's Here!

Mom went out yesterday, and when she came back, she brought this with her. She stuck it in the Christymas tree stand.

It didn't look like a Christymas tree.

But it smelled like a Christymas Tree.

 Mom cut the strings, and fluffed out the branches. The tree looks better now.

Mom says the tree will warm up, and the branches will relax a lot more.  She will put the toys decorations up later. Naturally, I am snoopervising the entire process.

It's Coming!

Millie Monday

Mom's been doing stuff she likes to do. She's been sewing a bit. Since her back is bum now, she spends a lot of time lying on the couch watching TV.  Last night she watched the finale of Iron Chef.  She has also been watching Top Chef Texas and Project Accessory. 

She is finishing up the Christymas presents and the decorating.  I am snoopervising everything.

And staying warm, because it's cold out.

Thursday Thoughts

1. It is really windy outside today. I am glad I am an indoor kitty.

2. Mom is getting rid of a lot of junk stuff. She's been downstairs in the dungeon a lot, sorting through stuff and bringing out to the trash.

3. I know the Christymas tree is down there somewhere. I hope it comes up soon.

Hey Mom, when is The Tree coming?  Christymas is coming, and I don't see any tree!

Freaky Friday

Mom does a lot of baking at Christymas. She uses a lot of butter. She buys both unsalted (sweet) and salted butter. The unsalted butter is in the blue box. The salted butter is in the red box.

So what gives with this?
Yup, the unsalted butter (that comes in the blue box) has a wrapper with RED letters. The salted butter (in the red box) has a wrapper with BLUE letters. Mom thinks it is really stupid.

So do I, but for an entirely different reason! I'm so glad I'm a cat.
