Snowed In Sunday

 I've had it.

This is looking out the kitchen window.  (Yes, I know the pile is bigger because the snow was pushed off the roof, but still.) The indoor/outdoor thermometer is buried in the snow, and is registering a "toasty" 27.5 degrees F, but Mom says it's really 17F outside.

The snow is so deep, it covers the bushes outside the front window.

We don't have a carport, we have a car tunnel.

I surrender.

When will the snow STOP?

@#*&$% Saturday

Can you believe this?  It's OCTOBER! It's not necessarily a surprise to see a bit of snow in October, but to have THIS MUCH is unusual.

I am NOT a happy cat.

Actually, I don't care as much as Mom does. She's saying all the words on the bad werds list.

Guess I'll find a good place to nap and watch the magical slipping sliding machines out in the street.

Finally Friday!

Here's what it looks like outside this morning:Lots of snow. It has been a very snowy January, as you can see from this graphic from the news.
Concord is about a 20 minute drive north of here, and is the only place in the state of New Hampster where the official weather records are kept.

The good news is there is no snow in the forecast for the next few days. Mom was so happy she brought her new metal masheen for a bath.

It's another one of those I'm-so-glad-I'm-a-Cat moments!

Snow Drive

Mr Karate & PlusOne had a recital 45 miles away yesterday afternoon. In the middle of it, it started to snow. Mom drove home in it, and the roads were rather slick. Her metal masheen slid around a little bit. When she was 16 miles away from home, it started to rain, and after a mile or two, the roads were just wet, and Mom felt much better.

After dinner she finished this skirt for the Christymas tree. Now I'll have something soft to sit on when I hide under the tree. Can you see me?

Of course not!

Heh.

Bad Words

You should have heard the bad words Mom said when she got home last night and saw the heavy wet snow in the driveway. She couldn't get in. She had to park in the lot next door and shovel the wet heavy snow by herself. (She's really too old to do that.) Finally she called Mr Karate and asked for help. He came over with PlusOne and they got Mom's metal masheen in the driveway.Mom was happy, but totally exhausted.

She paid the boys for this with cups of warm cocoa.

Such a deal!

As you can see, my "header" has been spruced up for the Holidays. thanks to Zoolatry for the beautiful work. Ann also made the lovely Christmas Memories images of Gizzy and Jasmine, both of whom are now at The Bridge.

THE BEST THING.... (not the lightning and thunder last night while it was raining) was the Meezers naming the four letter S word "snot." Every time Mom thinks of it, she laughs.

Alphabet Sampler Quilt

Mom finished her Alphabet Sampler Quilt top yesterday. She was stuck inside because we had a half a Gizzy of snow! Did she spend time with me? Heck no, she worked in the sewing room. She didn't even go food hunting!

Do you think I'll get the attention I truly deserve tonight when she's back from day hunting?

I wish.

She says after she goes food hunting (she promised to get me some stinky goodness so I can't complain too much), she's gonna do her taxes.

What's taxes?

***(Note: Mom posted the wrong picture this morning, and couldn't replace it until she got home from day hunting. Sorry!)

Rainy Days and Mondays

As if being Monday isn't bad enough, we get this:

Yech.
