Can you believe this? It's OCTOBER! It's not necessarily a surprise to see a bit of snow in October, but to have THIS MUCH is unusual.
I am NOT a happy cat.
Actually, I don't care as much as Mom does. She's saying all the words on the bad werds list.
Guess I'll find a good place to nap and watch the magical slipping sliding machines out in the street.

M would be saying all the bad words on the bad word list too if all dat snow were coming to us. Geeesh - many of our trees here haven't even finished dropping their leaves yet.
OY! Maybe you can start the When When contest early this year!
Poor Millie and mom Lynne. I live in the Stockholm-area in Sweden and we sometimes get this kind of late October early November snow surprises…
Last time Stockholm turned in to total chaos at that time of the year was November 1 2006…
The snow that fell that day was only about 5 cm (about 2 in) but the temperature turned the snow to ice almost instant. Add to that the habit of the Stockholm inhabitants to change from summer tires to winter tires as late as possible. Go figure…
The links will give you an idea of the situation…

We saw that on the news and thought of you. Last year was a nightmare for your area if we remember right. We had unusually high amounts too. 4th all time in snowfall.
Wow, Millie! The first snow is sorta magikal, though not this early or much. Hunker down and stay warm, pretty Millie!
Ouch. We had flurries one morning last week. I feel for your neighborhood! (Although I remember at least two Halloween nights when my kids went trick-or-treating in SNOW!!!)
You are right, Millie, this is perfect weather to be an indoor kitty with no errands to run!
Cuddle up with your Mom! Your Mom should stay put with a big cup of tea and a good book. And you of course!

That is a LOT of snow for October . . . Growing up in Michigan, we had snowflakes or maybe an inch of snow on Halloween (sometimes), but never 5-10" ... What a difference from 65 degrees, sunshine, and gorgeous fall colors here. STAY WARM AND SAFE!!!!
There is even some snow in Merryland! Fortunately, not our part. Cuz we got 1.5" of rain an that would be a foot of snow!
Give your mom a big hug Millie and keep her warm, won't you?

ALL the words??? Is there video? I'd like to hear that! =snort=
That is way too much snow too early! We hope you and Mom snuggled up and stayed warm!
Have a good nap, Millie, and don't listen to those bad werds!

We had our first snow this week. It was the wet, heavy kind and it broke a huge branch off of one of our trees!
