Tuesday Tippy-Tapping

Mom is back to working with her papers. Last night she started scribbling on them. She hasn't done any tippy-tapping, although she says that's coming.

 Naturally I snoopervised.

I love the little house in my kitty condo. It makes a nice cozy place to nap.  (If only Mom would quit with the flashy box business I could sleep. Sigh.)

Easy Like Sunday

Mom has been opening the curtains so I can look at the world outside.  It will get warmer later, and Mom will open the windows.  Whee!

Finally Friday

It's almost the weekend. Mom wants to work on the garden.  She'll plant the usual yukky green stuff - spinach and lettuce, arugula and bibb, several kinds of basil and thyme and rosemary. She'll plant some 'Nip for me along with some nasturtiums and merrygolds.

Me? I'm gonna watch the neighbs next door from my vantage point on my kitty condo. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some snoopervising to do.

Mom cannot resist any kind of temptation whatsoever, so here are some of her favorite pictures of Mr Karate at different times of his life.

From when he was in college, taking two dead laptops apart and installing Linux on the one that was left over.

Mr Karate took this picture of himself. He didn't point the camera high enough to get his face, but Mom likes it anyway.

Mr Karate took this one too, and again he didn't aim the camera high enough. Mom was good enough to make sure Mr Karate smiled just before the camera took the picture. (She's the one that sprinkled the flour on his face.)

One of Mom's Aussie friends saw this picture and said Mr Karate was a "spunk" which means he is a good looking guy to the folks down under. I think so too.

Millie Monday

It's been a hell of a week here in New England.

It ended well. Thanks to all the law enforcement officials for their hard work for catching the bad guys. They picked the wrong town to mess with.

I am proud to say I am Boston Strong. Mom and I have donated to The One Fund, which will help the victims recover from their injuries (which are many and terrible).  If you would like to help, you can do that by clicking this link.

Sad Tuxie

It was supposed to be a fun happy day, and then some idiot or bunch of idiots made the Boston Marathon a tragic day. I do not know why some people find it necessary to kill and hurt people on purpose. I am putting my purr-er on overdrive to help as many of the injured as I can. Mom is saying special purr-ayers. Perhaps you can help too.

It's When!

When Mom and I looked out the window this morning, we didn't see ANY snow AT ALL!  That means Kirby is the winner of this year's When When Contest!

Mom and I want to thank everybody for pawticipating. It was a good contest this year. We had lots of snow and it was fun to watch it all melt.

Is it When Yet?

Um. I dunno. Mom went out to check after dinner last night, and while the snow piles were very small, they were still there. We will all know when Mom looks outside in the morning, when the sun comes up.

I love my kitty condo, and yes, I have explored the bookcase.

In the meantime, Charliepuss from Oz has a question. He thinks Mom and I should have a handicap system for those contestants who live in hot places, or where they don't have snow.

Well, it's a nice idea Charliepuss, but sorry, ain't gonna happen.  Charliepuss, you and I have met after the contest started. You see, Mom and I made a list of things to help you pick a "good date."  But that won't really help. Sometimes the weather is warmer than usual, and sometimes it's colder. Sometimes it rains, and the snow melts faster. There's no way of knowing. It's all just a guessing game, really.

Mom and I thought it would melt before March was over! We would have lost the contest, and we live here, where it snows every winter!

Sorry Claude & Marlene, and Kikky, there is still a bit of snow out there, so you are not the winners of the When When Contest.

 Now with all the foolishness of "snow is different than ice," and to make sure there is no funny business going on, Mom went outside to make SURE what is in the picture above is actually SNOW.

Thursday Things

First of all, Cubby and Shaggy & Scout, I am very sorry to say you guys are not the winners of the When When Contest.

I am confident we will have a winner very soon. The weather is warming up, and today is supposed to be sunny.

DRAT! I hate when Mom catches me doing something I want to keep secret.

When she got home from day hunting yesterday, I was in the little house on the kitty condo.

Carmine, Clifford, neither of you is the winner of the When When Contest. We will have a winner soon.  Who will it be? Who will win the When When Contest?

Mom added another perch onto the cat tree. I don't like sitting on things that are the least bit wobbly (which is why I don't get on Mom's lap), so I was not too sure about this perch, but there were Temp-tay-shuns up there and I wanted to eat them.
