New Year's Eve

In case you all needed proof that I do use BOTH of my kitty condos, here it is. I usually sit here to watch the start of the day. In winter it is the coldest room in the house, but Mom says when the weather warms up it will be a very nice place to hang out.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

There wasn't any snow on Christymas. It all melted. There's only one small pile of snow in the front where Mom piled it when she shoveled the driveway on Turkey day.

It can be warm with snow, and cold without snow. Snow has nothing to do with whether it is cold or not. However, we have a very cold week coming up. The temperature isn't supposed to get above freezing until Saturday, and there is no snow in the forecast until Sunday at the earliest.

Millie Napping

My absolute number one favorite napping spot is next to Mom when she's sitting on the couch. I squeeze into the spot between Mom and the arm of the couch, no matter how small the space is.

If Mom's not home, or if she's busy in the sewing studio or in the kitchen, I find another cozy spot. Since we lost electricity on Turkey Day I haven't napped in my heated cat cup. Lately I haven't even slept on the soft fleece pillow near the heating vent in the dining room.  Nope, I've rediscovered this doughnut shaped cushion Monty's MomBean made for me a long time ago. Mom's put it under the TV console. I can keep an eye on everything from here.

Farewell, Derby

I'm really bummed. Derby, one of my oldest furriends, has gone to the Bridge. I'm gonna miss him. 

Sunny Snoozy Saturday

It is a beautiful day today. Sunny, and perfect for snoozing in my kitty condo here in the sewing studio. I hope you are all having a good day today.

Merry Christymas!

Mom and I want to wish all our friends, furry and otherwise, a very Merry Christmas!

I have been tracking Santa all day, and he is furry close to my house!

OK, he's not THAT close, but he's coming, I know. Mom says he will come and go in the blink of an eye, so I have to keep sharp. I wanna see the guy.

Millie Monday

A friend of Mom's came over yesterday and gave Mom a Christymas present. I had fun with the wrapping paper.  Christymas is coming soon. There is a big ham in the coldbox, ready for the big day. Mom has planned the menu. Cream of Bell Pepper soup, Baked Ham with Apricot Glaze, Scalloped Potatoes and Vegies, Green Beans (yuk) or Broccoli (double yuk). For dessert, Mom will make

Crème brûlée.

As long as I have my stinky goodness I am happy.

Omigosh Saturday

After Mom and I moved out of our old house, Mom happened to drive by the old place and saw the lord of land had put the house up for sale!!! Mom was furry surprised. She talked to the old neighbor (idjit) upstairs and he said the lord of land did not expect the house would sell before springtime.  Mom knew that no matter when it sold, they would have to implement the M-word themselves.

So you can imagine Mom's surprise when she drove by this morning and saw a "Sale Pending" on the old place.

I have to say, I am VERY HAPPY we have our own house now. I love it, and Mom and I like this place a lot more than the old place. Naturally Mom will be curious to see what happens to the place.

Me, not so much.

Sitting Pretty

Mom took this picture of me because it is something she has never seen before: me at the very top of my kitty condo.  I love this spot because I can see the whole neighborhood from here.

A Day's Work

Every morning after I have my foods, I go sit on the kitty condo and give myself a little bath. Then I survey my territory. When I am done that, I go over and sit next to Mom while she tries to eat her breakfast.

 This morning she was trying to do stuff on the computer at the same time.

Sometimes Mom gets her priorities wrong and I have to do a little training session.

When I was all done I went to sit on the other kitty condo at the front of the house to check out the other end of my territory.

It's all in a day's work.

I really love my new scratcher. I use it every day and Mom is happy.

However, I am not sure about this photo. Mom gave me some really good 'Nip and I am afraid I lost control. I confess I rolled in the stuff. Mom laughed and took pictures.

I like to sit on this stool in the morning to check out what's going on. From here I can see inside the house, and the neighborhood outside too.

Easy Like Sunday

Dear Mom,

There is no fabric you can wash, that I cannot find to make into a nest and fur up.  Look at it this way, I get to do a preliminary QA check on whatever it is you're making.

Sunny Saturday

Mom's in the kitchen baking. She's going to give the hot-as-hell-box a workout. She has bread rising right now, and she's going to make chocolate biscotti later. I may love BEEF, but whatever Mom cooks smells good.

Soft Pillow Thursday

Mom pulled this soft fleece pillow out of storage on Turkey day when we lost electricity and heat.

Mom knew it would keep me warm.

I have been sleeping on it every night since.

It doesn't hurt that Mom put it next to one of the heating vents.
