This is what it looks like outside chez Tyler today. There is still snow on the ground. Nobody picked today, so there is no loser, but no winner either. The weather guys say the next couple of days will be cooler than normal, but they also say it will rain, so we'll see.
My tummy was upset this morning and I hacked up a lot of my stinky goodness all over the rug. I got some scritches from my Mom to help me feel better. I'm going to pick a nice cozy spot and have a nap.

Tattle Tale Tuesday
Isn't Mr Karate silly? He thinks this piece of yukky red froot looks like a big smile.
I have a good tattle tale story about him. He came over for dinner the other night. He comes over a lot. While Mom cooks, he is on her computer. She has to call him to tell him dinner is ready. Now she's no dummy. She's been cooking for him for years and years, so she knows to put a BIG glass of milk on the table for him to drink.
So dinner is ready, and Mr Karate sits down and eats a GINORMOUS hamburger. (I do not know why hamburgers are called that, because there isn't any HAM in them. But I digress.)
After he ate the hamburger, he got up, went into the kitchen and poured himself ANOTHER ginormous glass of milk. He brought it to the table, and suddenly realized there was already a big glass of milk there.
He looked up at Mom, "Was that there the whole time?"
Mom just laughed.
Now because Monty Q leaves comments on my blog if there isn't a picture of me, here is a picture 'specially for my honey Monty Q. He's gotta try to look at my tummy without fainting, because in almost two weeks I'm gonna be visiting and he's gonna see a lot of it. I'm looking forward to spending time with him when he is conscious.
Oh, and in case you are wondering, Mr Karate drank BOTH glasses of milk.

Chummy Tummy Tuesday
OK, this isn't a tummy shot. Mom had one all picked out, but I decided to show this wonderful graphic designed by Zoolatry, just for me.I've been very chummy with Mom lately. Whenever I want something, I just go find her, and ask very politely. Sometimes she's busy, and I have to ask two or three times. She tries real hard, but she just doesn't get it. Eventually I'll get her to find her way to the recliner, and she sits in it, making room for me.
I play hard to get (I'm a CAT, after all), but eventually I curl up next to her and she pets me the way I want. I purr to make her feel like she's got it right. You know, Beans need a little positive reinforcement. Not a LOT, mind you, we can't have them feeling like they're in charge or anything...
I've even learned to lie on the ironing table, in the big empty space she needs to use. Or on top of the quilt pieces she is working with to get her attention.
She's learning.

Tummy Tuxie Tuesday
One of Mom's sewing secrets has been revealed, so I can tell you about it. She made a Christmas tree skirt for her sister, the Karate Lady, Roxy & Lucky's mom. You can see it here. Mom made one last year for Mr Karate, but Roxy & Lucky's is bigger.
My Secret Paw package is on its way, and there is another secret that is all finished. Mom has one more thing to do that I can't tell anybody about. Then she has to get back to making Gizzy quilts. There are at least two in the works, and since she has to get a crown, she's gotta get bizzy making more.
Yesterday she didn't sew at all. Instead she wrote her name about a squillion times, and put stickers on envelopes. She had a big list and worked her way down, crossing off names. Dunno what that was all about. When she was done she said, "Well that was a big job we just finished, Millie."
"We?"
I didn't do anything. I just watched.
She hung up this stocking with her name on it. There's one for Mr Karate, too. I told her she has to make one for ME!
And she has to hang
She has a lot to do. Haha! It's To-Do Tuesday too!

White-belly Wednesday
Monty Q sent me this in my comments on yesterday's blog:
"There was a problem with the contest site last night and your belly picture was accidentally...um..'misplaced.'
The judge will have to have at least two new belly pictures now for snorgling...erm...viewing."
Well, who am I to say no to my sweetie-pie?
Here's one:
Here's two:

OK, Monty, snorgle away. But try to avoid leaving snorgle marks on Mombean's computer monitor. And don't drool on the keyboard.
Of course you can teleport over and share my hammock with me. There's room for you. I'll just freshen up a bit...

So-Hot Saturday

Actually, Monty Q, I was referring to the weather around here lately. We have been having a "heat wave" which for us here in New England is three consecutive days of 90F+ (32C) temperatures. Our poor friends in Catifornia, or New Mexicat wouldn't say that is hot at all. But here we have humidity. When something called the "dew point" is above 70, it is considered "oppressive."
So right now this minute, here in New Hampster, (at 7:30 AM) the temperature is 72F (22C), the humidity is 94% and the dew point is 70. That means it's nasty and icky and sticky.
Yesterday the temperature was 93F (34C), and the dew point was 73. Yesterday was terrible. I even stayed in the sewing room with Mom while she had the Air Colditioner machine running (with the door closed) for a while.
A-N-Y-W-A-Y... this is my way of saying that when we have weather like this, doing a Full Monty (or a variation) is simply a way to cool off. I have been practicing my Full Montys, trying to find a pose that will really, you know, knock the judge's socks off.
Or send Monty Q in the icebox for the day...
(Millie, Be Nice! Don't tease poor Monty)
He told me not to stop doing the Full Monty on his account!
~~~~~~~
I have been tagged for the proverb meme, and also for the Schmooze award, and I didn't forget, but I have been busy (hot) and I'm working on them...Sunday, June 24, 2007
Flying Quilt Wednesday
Gizzy quilts are flying all over the country as you read this, and several have landed at their new homes already. You have to check them out at the Bizzy for Gizzy Quilts blog. There are several very happy cats, which pleases me to no end, seeing as how Mom and I really work hard to make sure each cat gets a quilt that's perfect for them.Since I have been so bad at keeping secrets lately, Mom won't tell me who this lovely green quilt is for.
I can tell you two things.
Thing One: Mom has made over 50 quilts.
Thing Two: The person that orders the 100th quilt will get it for free.
Thing Three: There will be Christymas quilts...
(HA! HA! HA! Mom, I let the cat out of the bag, now I don't have to keep that secret any more. Ha ha ha! Oh, I feel so much better.)
Monty Q! Get out of the icebox for heaven's sake! If you keep doing that I'm going to have to rent an oxygen tank to drag around at the party on Sunday!
Tempting Tuxie Tuesday
Mom says I look like a temptress here. She says I'm gonna make Monty Q faint again. She says I can be very naughty.
Ha! Ha! She's right!But I don't know WHO (except Fiona Bun) would be tempted in the least by this:
and I am told this is 'Nip. I have to say I am not impressed.
