Almost Wordless Wednesday

Every morning Mom opens up the porch so we can enjoy the fresh air, the light, and the sounds. Sometimes I go on the porch, and sometimes I lie right here on the rug. It is raining. Again. And it is thundering.

So I am here and not on the porch.

Got Rain? We do.

I am watching the rain.

There's lots of it.

I'd be happy to send it to my friends in Catifornia, who need it, but I am pretty sure it's beyond my Cat Powers to do so.

Rain = no birdies.

Rain, Rain GO AWAY!

It's raining here. It's been raining all week. The grass is growing, and the leaves are out in full force, but it's cold, grey and ICKY! Mom actually has the heating monster running.
The stupid green stuff is growing in the planter box outside, but it really needs some SUN!

I want the SUN!Enough rain already.

Millie Monday

It rained yesterday, and the rain melted a lot of the snow! It may rain again today, but the temperatures are supposed to be a lot warmer this week. Mom says the When When Contest is really heating up! (She loves a good pun!)

I played the make-the-bed game with her yesterday. It is much more fun than watching snow melt.

We are supposed to have LOTS of rain today. I think I'll just find a comfy place to nap... (yawn!)

Whole Lot of Nuthin' Going On

While Mom was making dinner for herself last night, the weather guys interrupted the wheelie game she was watching to warn everybody about bad crack-and-boom storms with tornado warnings! We weren't in that area, but Mom could see we were gonna get a lot of rain, so she turned the computer off.

When it got dark and rainy and the wind started blowing the rain against the windows, I was a little bit freaked out, but I sat next to Mom and she petted me. I felt better.

Afterwards, she ate her dinner (I had eaten my stinky goodness much earlier) and then sat down and read a book! No sewing, no computer, no pictures.

Just a whole lot of nuthin' going on!

Wet Wednesday

It's supposed to rain all day today. I'll find a nice warm place (or two or three) to nap. I haven't been posing for pictures much. Every time Mom sees me doing something cute, she goes to get the camera, and I follow her.

Heh.

She's been moving junk around again.

Yuk.
Well, maybe not.

Soggy Saturday

It's raining outside. Mom has turned off the heating monster for the summer, so it's a little cool. I'm nice and cozy in my cat cup.

So what?

More Rain

It's gonna rain some more today. Mom's says she still has a few fires to put out at her day hunting gig. Dunno how anything can burn when it's all wet, but Mom says otherwise and although she's only a bean, I'm going to humor her.

Mr Karate came over for dinner last night, but his voice wasn't with him. He had the crud that Mom is trying to get rid of. They had dinner, he played his cello, and then Mom went into the sewing room and did her usual thing of cutting big pieces of fabric into little pieces of fabric and then sewing them back up together into big pieces of fabric again.

I'm telling you, she's crazy! I intend to do the only sensible thing one can do on a yukky rainy day like this. I'm going to take a nap on the big stack of pillows in the computer room.

I'm so glad I'm a cat.

Yesterday morning, it looked like this outside.It rained hard all day, and this is what it looked like late in the afternoon.
And if you thought THAT was a surprise, lookit what Mom found when she came inside:

Semifinal Saturday - NOT!

Mom is -seriously- bummed out. She took two week's stay-cation from her day hunting gig so she could watch the Tennis on TV. Which she has done, every single day. Except yesterday.

Yesterday it rained in the Big Apple, and all the matches were postponed. The Men's Final, with the expected showdown between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, has been postponed until Monday at 4. Mom gets home from day hunting at 5:30.

What do you think her chances are of getting out early so she can get home in time to watch the match on the picture box after she has been away for two weeks?

Slim to None.

We are supposed to have rain for the next four days.I know it's better than snow, but it still sucks.
