Happy Halloween!

I have told you all many times how glad I am to be a cat, but none more than today. And not because it's Halloween. It's because of this.

Don't look at me, I'M not drinking the stuff.  But Mom will, later this afternoon, after she spends the day NOT eating.

Well, she can eat Jello, and popsicles, and drink Gatorade, but YUK!  It's all because of a special test she has to get at the bean v-e-t.  I shudder to think about it.  She's doing all this so the bean v-e-t can look up her spot # 13!

Holy Guacamole, Holy Toledo and O My Bast, there is NO WAY I would put up with that!!!!!

Something and likely some-ONE would die a toothy death before I would let that happen to ME.

Mom says it's a good thing because it can help prevent her from getting cancer, and since cancer took Gizzy and Jasmine away from me, I can't object.

Much.

So later today when Mom drinks that nasty stuff and spends a lot of time growling in the litterbox room, I will be FAR FAR AWAY and deeply, profoundly, thankful and glad I am a cat.

This will also explain why I will probably not be posting a blog on Friday. Mom will be "otherwise engaged" and I'll be doing my best to put her back to "normal" when the bean v-e-t-s are done with her.

Millie Monday

Haha! I bet you thought I spent all my time in the nifty tent!  As you can see I don't. Here I am watching very interesting activities on bird tv.

Easy Like Sunday

Thank you Mom, for washing my fleece pillow cover and letting me nap.  Now... can you go find something else to do? I am having a good nap.

Sneaky Saturday

Uh Mom, thanks for washing the yellow fleece cover for my tent pillow, but I'm not done napping here, so just go away and do something else.

Freaky Friday

I went day hunting with Mom yesterday, to see what it was like.

O my Bast! It was BORING!

All Mom does all day long is tippy tap on her computer and move papers from one place to another. She talked on the telephone and walked around some, but it was very dull. Mom doesn't even have any windows in her workspace, so I couldn't watch Bird TV.

I had to sit quietly and stay out of the way. That's not hard for me to do, but there weren't any soft places for me to nap. No pillows or cushions, and no quilts! I might go again, though, because Mom says there are some really nice beans there, and they want to meet me.  Yesterday I was very shy and stayed on Mom's desk, but I might be able to go exploring if I go back.

We'll see, but seriously, have I told you lately how glad I am to be a Cat?

LOOKY! LOOKY! LOOKY!

O holy Bast!  Look what Mr Brown brought:

It's my own personal calling card!

Here's a closeup of the front.

and here's the other side, so folks can see for themselves that I am a well-traveled cat.

Lookit! I have a whole box of them.  Yes, Mom and I ordered them from Vistaprint.

So why did I get a box full of my own personal calling cards? Because when I was in St Loo-ee and Mem-fiss a couple of weeks ago I made lots of friends who wanted to know more about me. Mom and her friend Julie thought it would be nice if there was an easy way to let folks know where to find my blog. Mom came up with the idea of the card, and when we got home we designed them together.

I am very happy with them.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

They call those things behind me cattails!!!!

Tuxie Tuesday

Hallo kits and cats! Mom came home from day hunting yesterday and started pulling stuff out of the closet and the drawers. Then she put it all back in!  Go figure. After THAT, she dragged the rug sucking monster around. Thank Bast it was only in her bedroom. She was so tuckered out she had to sit on the couch and read her new Kindle. She has already read THREE books on it!

But I digress. During all the rigamarole last night, she found a package with these inside:

Three 3-packs of filters for a Drinkwell fountain. Regular visitors know that my Drinkwell fountain sprung a leak and Mom bought me a new one, so we don't need these filters. If you would like these filters, Mom will send them to you, but you have to live in the US of A. Email me at darlingmillie AT gmail DOT com if you are interested.

Um, Mom, could you please take the flashy box someplace else? I'm trying to nap.

Red Sox Nation

I am a proud member of Red Sox Nation.  We are going to the World Series (again.)

I am not a big baseball fan. I prefer tennis, and my pals, the guys named Pat, but any time a New England team makes it to the top, I'm a fan.

Sleepy Saturday

It's been a busy week for both Mom and I, getting back into the swing of things after our big trip. I'm going to spend the day napping, but Mom has a long list of things to do. She has already done the washing machine shuffle and folded the laundry. The dishes are done. She has brought the metal masheen to the metal masheen hospital for a checkup. She has also visited the Tuscan Market and bought herself some goodies. I know she has to cook the books and drag the rug sucking and do more food hunting, but she really wants to start working on a quilt about a chicken.

Yeah really.

Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

Family Friday

My Mom, the sucker for all things feline, has downloaded a book to her new Kindle called "A Street Cat Named Bob."

I've been reading over her shoulder, and I think it's pretty good. Bob is one smart mancat.  You should check it out.

Oh yeah. Mom got herself that new Kindle...

Truthful Thursday

It's the time of the year when I am very happy to be formerly feral. It's getting cold out, and I am nice and warm on my cat hammock.

Mom's getting back into the swing of her day-hunting gig, although she said if there were an endless supply of green papers she'd retire and live a life like mine.

Lucky me!

Multi-Millie Tuxie Tuesday

Mom says the camera on her new ifone is much better than the old one.

I'm pleased to say that no matter how fast the camera is, I'm FASTER.

Heh.

This'n'That Saturday

Mom brought me grocery shopping for the first time. It's not very interesting. In the great big store there is only one side of one half of an aisle devoted to cat food.  As you can see Mom bought a lot of yukky stuff. However there were some cans of my favorite stinky goodness.

Later we went to Mom's favorite quilt shop where she bought some more fabric (as if she needs any more), then we went for a drive. I made a couple of new friends.

I met this giraffe at Allyson's Apple Orchard,

and this very energetic woofie is Lulu.

Mom and I stopped for lunch.  I ate some turkey and Mom enjoyed the mushroom soup.

Then we drove home. I am really tired of driving.

I plan to be doing a lot of this this weekend, and none of that other stuff.

Red Leafs, Green Papers

It's quite a bit different in New Hampster than it was in Tennenneseeee or Ark and Saw. It is the time of the year when a lot of our trees turn red, like this one in the back yard.

The red tree you see in this picture is next to the stabby place where my v-e-t works. Mom says I will be visiting there soon. (I say Fat Chance!) What all this red means is the hots are gone and it's time to feed the heating monster lots of green papers.

Mom's been trying to entice me to get into the heated cat cup. She's got it plugged in, but although I will pick out all the treats, even the Magic 'Nip isn't enough to get me to climb into it.

Mom: 0

Home!

Mim-may and Pip-pay met us at the airport and drove us home. I am so happy to be home.

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

This is my woofie friend Bella.

This is my friend Betty.

This is my friend Shari.

This is the Lion of the University City Library. I think his name is Leo.

This is Chris. She quilts Mom's quilts.

This is Mom and I leaning against the Gateway Arch.

I have made a lot of friends this trip and have had a wonderful time.  We are on our way back to New Hampster. I am quite looking forward to getting out of my traveling outfit.

Traveling Millie

I sure do like getting the red carpet treatment when I travel.

The beds were so comfortable.

I had a bed all to myself.

Yesterday we left St Looee to go back to Julie's house in Mem-fiss. Mom packs way too much stuff. I was ready to go long before she was.

Mom and Julie used a GPS to tell them where to go. They didn't trust my Bast-given sense of direction.

You never know what you're going to see on the road.

The road was long and straight and kind of boring. I took a nap.

I make sure to be awake to visit Frost Bake Shop.

Now this is my idea of a cake. I wonder if they make it in Beef?
