Every time Mom finishes a quilt it is my job to perform the Quality Assurance test. I check all quilts for warmth and comfort, kindness and love. Then, like all QA testers everywhere, I leave my mark.
I leave my furs.
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.
Hey Mom, I'm not done here. Take that flashy box and go someplace else...

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends, furry four-footed, and human. I have many things to be thankful for, and the biggest one is shown in this picture. It's a home where I am loved and cared for.
Happy Thanksgiving all!

Wacky Wednesday
This is silly Mr Karate. I think the warm Catifornia winter has scrambled his brain.
We are having lots and lots and lots of RAIN today. Mom is happy it isn't snow. Me? I'm not worried. I've got several nice warm places to nap.

Millie Monday
It's still cold out, and there is a little bit of snow left on the ground. It won't stay around for long. All you When-When wishers are going to have to wait a few months.
In other news and events, Mom and I were watching my pals, the guys named Pat, on TV last night and it wasn't looking good. A series of unfortunate events had the guys down by 24 points early in the second half. It was late, so Mom and I went to bed, not looking forward to watching the guys lose.
Turns out I should have better faith in Tom Brady and Mr Belly-check. In the second half they made a big comeback and ended up winning the game.
I shall leave you to imagine my thoughts about the other guys. Let's just say I am VERY happy my pals, the guys named Pat, didn't give up.

Sunny Saturday
Last week Mom cleaned the whole house, took apart my cat hammock and washed it. Now it needs to be covered with my furs. Since it's sunny out, I'll nap here and keep an eye on what's going on outside.
Mom has been Christymas shopping. Sheesh, it isn't even Thanksgiving yet!

Go Girls!
You all know my Mom's a Geek. There are not a whole heck of a lot of Lady Geeks or Lady Engineers. At all the "Bring Your Kids to Work" days, Mom tries to show the girls how cool computers are. Well, now there is a terrifically awesome video about this.
You can read the New York Times article about it here.
GO GIRLS!

Truthful Thursday
All quilts in this house are good places on which to nap, or a good spot for a bath, even if they aren't finished!

Almost Wordless
Mom's been sewing the binding on a big quilt, so she hasn't had the flashy box out, which works for me. I'm happy napping wherever I find a nice spot.

Millie Monday
I like this chair. I like sitting on the arm, as I am now. I like sitting in it. I even like sitting in it next to Mom.
Why am I not looking at Mom? Because she's shining that flashing light in my eyes. Sheesh!

Truthful Thursday
This is much better than yesterday's photo, in which I was rolling around on my back. Yes, my belleh was visible as well as my chin and neck.
I had a serious discussion with Mom and told her a thing or two. She's finishing up a quilt and starting to think about the big turkey.

Wacky Wednesday
MO-oM! THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!
I was s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g and twisting. Damn that iFone! It's so much faster than the flashy box it can catch me in mid-stretch.
Now I must plot my revenge... Something must die a toothy death.

Tuxie Tuesday
Really Mom? You're going to stay up late just so you can finish that book you're reading on your Kindle? I think you should go to bed. It's time for my scritches.

Millie Monday
Mom really likes the way her new iFone takes pictures. It's not so bad for me because the flashy thing doesn't explode in my face.
So here's a selfie for Monday!

Sleepy Sunday
Mom put a quilt over the back of the recliner, so I decided to make it a tent.
Can you see me?
Geez, Mom, I was napping here.

Saturday Caturday
Mom's cleaning the house and doing some sewing today. She's gonna go out to lunch with Mim-may later.
Me? I'm gonna nap.

Concatulations Julie!
One of Mom's Besties, Julie, made a houses quilt, except she made it with barns. She made one barn for every month of the year, and it was pretty spectacular. I got to see it, and it was really pawsome.
Julie really struggled with the quilt. She made all the barns and then put them together... and didn't like it. So she took it apart and fixed the sky and the ground below the barns, and then added some borders. The quilt is magnificent, if I do say so myself. (You all know I am an expert at quilts.)
Julie decided to enter it into a local quilt show, and lookit this:
Not only did Julie win First Place for Machine Pieced and Machine Quilted, but she won BEST OF SHOW!!!
I am purring like crazy because I am so happy for Julie. She's one of my best buds. Go on over and give her a high paw!

Tuxie Tuesday
Now that we are back on Standard Time, I can sit here after I've eaten my breakfast and watch the world wake up and get going. Of course I don't like waiting until after dark to get my dinner. There are less than 50 days before the shortest day of the year and then all the days get longer. I can deal with that.

Easy Like Sunday
Mom made some bread and put butter on it. She put it down. I assumed it was for me, so I sniffed it and decided to try it. It was good. Turns out I like butter. Who knew?

Silly Saturday
MOST cats I know hate the evil rug sucking monster. But I found a very distressing video showing cats who are apparently unaware of its evil. Check it out here.
I need to go hide.

Family Friday
Mom is home from the bean v-e-t.
She was not a happy camper this morning drinking that yukky junk. I had to MEOW several times to get to use my litterbox. She did finally understand, and left the litterbox room so I could do my bizness.
Finally she was done drinking that junk, and done with the human litterbox. She got in the rainbox and came out smiling, so that was good. Then she put the bedsheets in the washing monster. (She was muttering about stupid pills that woke her up at fourthirtyam and leaving a trail... I do not know what that was about, but I made sure to get the hell out of the way.) She got dressed, and emptied the dishwasher. "Macaroni and cheese when I get home later, Millie. I can't wait!" She blew me a kiss (like she always does) and sailed out the door.
When she came back a few hours later she was kinda dragging and Mim-may was with her. She made her macaroni-and-cheese and dug into it with as much enthusiasm as I dig into my Beef stinky goodness. Then she lay down on the couch and watched TV. I made sure she was OK, and rubbed myself all over her for good measure. Now she's watching TV and I'm catnapping, keeping an eye on her.
She said the bean v-e-t- took one little pollip and a sample of something else that looked funny, but she is OK. She will get the results in a couple of weeks. Today she can't do any driving in the metal masheen and she can't sew or use her fabric pizza cutter, so she'll be watching the tennis on TV and napping on the couch. She can do her normal stuff tomorrow.
That's all folks. Mom thanks you all for your best wishes.
