I am very happy on Mom's recliner, where it is warm. I am giving myself a bath.
Mr Karate and his new girlfriend spent Turkey Day in Hawaii. This picture was taken above Queen's Bath on the island of Kauai. They look pretty happy too.

Tattle Tale Tuesday
Mom had such a busy weekend, that she came home after day hunting, made us both dinner, then sat down on the couch and read a book.
I don't mean she picked up a book she had started already. She picked up a ***NEW*** book and read it from start to finish.
I think that makes her SuperMom. Which isn't a surprise to me because I already knew that.
But still.
***which book, you ask? This one.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
Life is finally getting back to normal here in New Hampster.
Mom cooked the big bird on Turkey Day, and I got some. The house was full of great food smells, good peoples and Missy-the-woofie, who ate all my stinky goodness AND my crunchies. I guess she was really hungry. I got more foods, so it was okay in the end, but I did let Missy-the-woofie know she'd crossed the line. Mom says she is getting to be a geezer woofie, so I should be considerate.
We did have a lot of fun watching my pals, the guys named Pat, play with the jets on Turkey day. I don't think the jets had as much fun as we did. That's the way the ball bounces, I guess. (Pun intended.)
Our friend R was here visiting, and will be leaving today. It will be nice and quiet here, and I'll have all my napping places to myself again.
Happy Holidays to all!

Wacky Wednesday
I'm napping in my cat hammock. Mom is running around like a crazy woman. Turkey Day is tomorrow. What else is new?
She's got all the fussy serving dishes all over the dining room table. The coldbox is FULL, and there's a big real live dead bird in it. It's name is Fresh Butterball and it weighs more than I do. There are bags of potatoes, sweet potatoes, acorn squash and apples on the kitchen counter.
The rest of the house is pretty clean. I'm working overtime to get it all furred up and back to normal.
Heh.

Millie Monday
I'm having a good nap, and what does Mom do? She gets out the flashy box and tries to wake me up.
You can see how that's working.
Mom is getting ready for the big day this week, and that means lots of stuff going in and out of the hot-as-hell box. It smells good here.
Mr Karate is traveling, and will spend his turkey day in Hawaii, which Mom calls Paradise.
Dunno about you, but for me Paradise is where you get lots of good places to nap, plenty of good food, lots of scritches and toys to play with, and somebody who loves you. Sounds a lot like New Hampster to me.

Easy Like Sunday
It's Sunday. It's sunny. I am hanging out in the cat hammock. Mom is in the kitchen, cooking (what else?) She has already made corn muffins, and she is baking chocolate chip cookies.
She's cooking the big bird on Turkey Day, so she's been getting ready. Yesterday she made the dough for her pie and some special cookies she will bake later. She bought all the foods for the big dinner, including potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, mushrooms, sausage and cheese. (She gets the turkey and the green beans on Tuesday.)
She was so tired yesterday that she was in bed at 8:30 PM!!! That's like two or three hours earlier than she usually does! So this morning, she got up at 6:30 AM, because like, she was wide awake!
Today she will drag the rug sucking monster around, and we will watch my pals, the guys named Pat (although Mom is a little annoyed with them this year). Later we will watch The Next Iron Chef, because you know, Mom is "into" that stuff.

Finally Friday
Mom's big tippy tappy project has been keeping her out of the sewing studio. I am doing my best to distract her in so many ways.
Mr Karate is in the City of Angels in Catifornia. He and Mom had a long conversation on Skype last night. Mom was so happy to talk to him. She's been grinning from ear to ear since then.
That makes me happy too.
Thank you for purring for "W." I know it did a lot of good.

Positive Vibes Needed
Mom's an expert at lots of stuff, and there are very few people on the planet she would do ANYTHING for, but one of those people who is not related is having a "procedure" today and we would like to ask you to keep this wonderful lady in your thoughts and prayers.
This lady is going to a special hospital to have some radioactive pellets inserted in a tumor behind one of her eyes. That this lady is an artist who is very generous with her time, knowledge and creativity makes the "procedure" all the more terrifying.
Please send your thoughts to "W" today for Mom and me. I've got my purr-er on overdrive for "W."
Thank you,
your friend,
Millie

Tuxie Tuesday with Toesies
The recliner is a great place to nap, and it's as good a place as any for a nice "baff."
I get the recliner all to myself when Mom sits on the couch and tippy taps. She surrounds herself with paper when she does that. I like to jump onto the coffee table and push them on the floor.
Heh.

Millie Monday
I'm really sorry I haven't been blogging so much on weekends. Mom gets going with errands and stoopid chores, and completely forgets. At least shes doesn't forget ME!
On Saturday Mom had to go to the day-hunting place. When she came back I insisted on sitting with her. I like getting my scritches.

Freaky Friday
I've been getting my nightly treats in this box for several weeks now, but this is ominous. There's no question about it.

O Happy Day!
Concatulations to Mr Obama, who has been re-elected President of the United States of America.
Mom and I are happiest, however, that this means the end of all the political commercials and the endless telephone calls asking which way Mom would vote.

Easy Like Sunday
This is what Easy Like Sunday means to me:
this is what it looks like for Mom:
This is the makings of Chocolate Cake, but Mom also has Spiced Oatmeal Cookies and some English Muffin Bread planned for today. And maybe some of these. Mom will pack all this stuff in a box and send it to my Mary-land family. Mom and I love them lots and lots.
Mom also has stuff planned to go in the crooked-pot for dinner later.
As you can see, one of us knows about "Easy" and the other one, well, not so much.

Busy Saturday
When your Mom gets up early, has breakfast, gets dressed and then goes food hunting, comes home, takes the sheets off the bed and gets the washing machine shuffle going, then starts piling stuff on tables like this....
you know this is going to get into the act:
and we all know how much I love this sucker.
Not!

Finally Friday
Mom is very happy to have this week come to an end. It has been cuckoo over at the DHP (day hunting place) and she is looking forward to spending a quiet weekend at home with me. Mom continues her tippy-tapping each night, and sometimes I lie down right next to her when she does it.
If I look forlorn enough, I get a few crunchies in addition to my usual nightly treats. As you can see, I am very good at this. I hope you all have a good weekend.

Thursday Things
Hoo boy! You should hear Mom rant about going back to the day hunting gig yesterday. The day hunting place did not have any 'lectricity on Tuesday, so nobody got anything done. The servants, however, crashed hard, and needed a lot of attention to make them happy.
But it wasn't the servants that gave Mom fits yesterday. You see computers are connected to patch cables that go through walls and ceilings and connect to patch panels. The cables continue on to switches that may or may not connect to other patch panels and then other switches. The servants connect directly to the switches. All the printers connect the same way. Even wireless computers need to connect (wirelessly) to a WAP (dunno) that connects to a patch cable that connects to a patch panel that connects to a POE device (don't ask me that either) that connects to a switch that connects to the servants.
Got that? (Good, because I don't.)
Anyway Mom said that all of her fellow day hunters got their computers running, but SOME computers couldn't talk to servants. It was Mom's job to figure out where in that big description (above) to find the gremlin that was screwing stuff up.
You see, at the DHP (day hunting place) there are a bunch of old switches and patch panels WAY WAY up in the rafters of the building, and Mom had to ask one of "the guys" to give her a ride in the lift truck (like an elevator on wheels) to check them out. They were OK, so Mom knew her problem was right in the special room where the servants live.
Fortunately for Mom, a Sultant was there at the DHP to help the servants wake up. Mom got him to look and he moved ONE CABLE and PRESTO! All the computers that weren't talking to the servants suddenly started!! Mom had to reset all the printers, and then they happily spit out paper whenever they had to.
And the telephones! Oh boy, that was another problem. Mom said the upstream telco had to completely rebuild some configuration, and that fixed that problem. (I don't know what that means either.)
There was one last printer that just wouldn't spit paper no matter how hard Mom asked. Finally she asked it a bunch of questions and it told her it changed it's address from what it was before. Mom scolded it, and changed it back, and it started spitting out paper too.
Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?
