Yesterday Mom went out to do some shopping. She did some errands, and then went food hunting at a new food hunting place. Mom liked it. She says there was everything she could ever want, which is really saying something because she is very fussy.
She put all the foods in the trunk of the new metal masheen, and when she was leaving the parking lot, she accidentally drove up on a divider. So she backed up, rolled off, and then drove away.
Partway home she noticed a light on the dashboard, telling her one of the tires was low on air. She pulled into a gas station to fill it, and saw the tire was flat as a pancake. She called Triple-A and when the guy got there he said, "Oh, THAT's wrecked. You're gonna need a new one of those."
Mom wasn't best pleased. She's kinda bummed and feeling pretty stoopid.
In other, better news, Mr Karate is in Yosemite Valley with uncle Mr Photographer.
and Mom says the big project is coming along very nicely,
although I cannot figure out why the guy in the bloo shirt doesn't use the door if he wants to leave.

Finally Friday
Mom has been working very hard, and I've had to lie on top of her to get her to rest. Sometimes she reads on her Kindle. That's OK. She can give me scritches and read at the same time.
So why am I giving her the stinkeye? Because she said I couldn't nap on this particular quilt. (It's a good thing I have lots of other quilts for napping on.)

The Room. The Update
I told you how two very nice ladies ripped off the wallpaper at Mom's day hunting gig. Mom told me that some poor dude (my description, not hers) was spreading mud all over the walls.
Mom says this will make the walls nice and smooth. Then the guys cut a hole in the wall to put a window next to the door.
Nice Mom, but I still don't see a window.
Mom says the custom wallpaper is going up today. She says I should not hold my breath about any cat hammicks, cat trees or quilts for this room.
Here is a picture of one of a chair that -might- be going in the room.
I do not think it looks nearly comfy enough.
I don't know about beans. Mom has put a lot of work into this room and it just doesn't look like it's going to be a lot different than before.
Oh well.

Tattle Tale Tuesday
So you know how it is. Your purrson gets home from wherever it is they go all day, and they feed you, then they want to change their clothes. Don't ask me why, but they do. Mine does anyway.
Well last night, I finished my dinner and then went over to find Mom. She had changed from her day hunting duds to her usual jeans-and-a-turtleneck. She had already put on her new sheepy slippers and was looking for her fleece vest because she was a little cold.
(Now I know that if she's hungry, she's colder than usual, so I kept trying to tell her to go EAT, but, well, you know.)
Anyway, she KNEW the thing was in her closet, and it was, but she couldn't see it. She was looking on the hangers. She went through the closet three times. Then she checked every drawer in the bureau, but it wasn't there. It wasn't supposed to be there, but she checked anyway. She couldn't find it.
So she went BACK to looking in the closet. She looked at everything on hangers. Nope.
So she went BACK to looking in the bureau. She opened every drawer. Nope.
I tried to help. I really did. I meowed. I meowed several times.
She ignored me.
After she looked in the closet three times, and after she looked in the bureau three times, and after she checked the coat closet in the hallway, she came back into the bedroom and found it.
Ahem.

Fun, Fun, Fun
Mom's big day hunting project looked pretty boring, but then I found some other pictures on her tippy tappy lapbox that you might like to see... check this out:
Wouldn't that big pile of paper in the middle of the room be FUN for a cat to pounce on, climb on and hide in? I think it would be PAWSOME!
Where did all that paper come from?
Mom's BOSS and another lady pulled it off the walls!!!
So what did Mom do for fun?
Which kind of fun would YOU like to do best?

Mom's Before and After
Mom is excited about this "progress."
This is the room before. Pretty average. The chairs look comfy, but I don't see any windows or cat trees.
Mom says this is progress. I think it looks very dull.
Mom says this is the hole they dug in the floor. I think it's a very dull hole. (I could have dug a much better hole than that.) A special box will go there, but it will be covered up.
I think she needs a nap,

Mom's Busy
Mom's got a wicked busy schedule the next few days. She has been named "project manager" at her day hunting gig. What's the project? The room where the head honcho holds his meetings is getting made over. New rug, wallpaper, new furniture, new electronic toys... Mom's got to co-ordinate everything. Sounds boring to me. No cat trees, no cat hammocks. Bleh.
Like, today, she has to make sure the furniture gets moved out of the room so the guys who are going to take down the wallpaper can do their stuff this afternoon.
Then tomorrow some other guys come over and rip the rug up.
Saturday (yes SATURDAY) some guys are going to bring jackhammers and dig a trench in the cement floor so the electrical guy can put in a special box for some wires.
NEXT week it's wiring, wallpaper, computer junk.
Mom also has to organize when the new carpet gets laid, the purchase of enough chairs to make a cat happy forever, a gigunza special cool table to impress everybody and something called a cred-end-za to store all kinds of stuff. And she has to choose pictures for the wall and all kinds of other little stuff.
All that in addition to her normal day hunting stuff, and taking care of moi.
Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

Tuxie Tuesday
Mom took the air colditioner out of her bedroom window yesterday. She says it's that time of year. We have to send our sun and the hots to my friend Poppy Q and all my friends Down Under.

Millie Monday
Like my special buddy Max and his Mom, we watch Jackson Galaxy too. My Mom doesn't get real huggy when it's over though. Instead, the last time we watched, she got up an LEFT ME!
When she came back, she had a new feather toy. So I've been chasing that around and attacking it. Which is pretty cool.
I am so happy to have a Mom who "gets it", but I gotta tell you Jackson REALLY "gets" cats. I bet HE could get me into my PTU.
I hope he doesn't tell her!

Mr Karate Travels
Mr Karate is traveling, and this weekend he will be going to Mexico. Here's a picture of him. Can you see the flower behind his ear? Mr Karate is one in a million. He's one of my favorite beans.

Formerly Feral Friday
Look, I know it's been sunny and warm out, but I LIKE it here on the plum chair when it's covered with a quilt. I'm formerly feral. I can do what I want.

Tuxie Tuesday
The stay-cation is over. I won. I succeeded in NOT being stuffed in the PTU and brought to the V-e-t.
But that doesn't mean I can stop hiding out.

Formerly Feral Friday
I am happy to say Mom has given up trying to wrassle me into the PTU for a trip to the stabby place. I have been camped out under the bed all week (so no pictures). Mom puts my treats in the PTU, and I eat them when she isn't around. Heh.
It has been a very nice stay-cation. Mom's been sewing, watching the tennis, and reading. She was kinda bummed her favorite player, Roger Federer was knocked out of the tournament the other night. Now she is rooting for Andy Murray and David Ferrer, although after watching Novak Djokovic beat Juan Martin Del Potro last night, she doesn't think anybody can stop Novak from taking the whole thing.
Mr Karate is off gallivanting in Catifornia. Last we heard he was in San Ho-say. If any of you Catifornia kitties see him, give him a high paw.
Tootles!

Almost Wordless Wednesday
Oh oh.
Mom thinks I have to get friendly with the PTU, so she put it right next to my foods and she put one of my Gizzy quilts in it. At treat time last night, instead of giving me my treats in the kitchen like usual, she put them in the PTU.
Actually, I don't have a problem with the PTU. I don't even have a problem with the V-e-t at the stabby place. Everybody there is nice to me. I have a problem getting grabbed by surprise, bundled up like a burrito and jammed into a box.
We'll see how this goes.
The score is still
Millie: 3
Mom: 0

Tuxie Tuesday
I am under the bed, and I'm not coming out. Mom and I had a little tussle earlier today. She actually grabbed me and got me within inches of the PTU (Prisoner Transport Unit) before I was able to scramble away.
Heh.
Prancer Pie has reminded me that I need to update the "score," so here it is:
Millie: 3
Mom: 0

Easy Like Sunday Morning
For those of you who are wondering, no, I have not been for a ride in the new metal masheen, and have not been to the stabby place. If it was up to me, I would never get in the PTU and forgo any rides in the metal masheen (which Mom calls "Sylvie").
I'm safe today and tomorrow, because the stabby place is closed. I plan to enjoy the day doing what I do best, napping right here on my cat hammock, where I can watch the world go by right outside this window.
Happy Sunday!
