I'm helping Mom make the quilt for NewBean.
Mom doesn't seem to appreciate my input.Dunno why.

Mom doesn't seem to appreciate my input.

These are the Maple trees across the street, near our Japanese Maple (which is on the right.)
This naked tree had the bright red leaves in this post, almost three weeks ago. The yellow tree on the right just looks yellow, but Mom says it is much prettier in real life.
The sun was shining on the tree, and through the leaves, and it gave off a beautiful golden glow.
It is starting to lose leafs! You can click the pictures to biggify.
Mom needs help in the morning. This next picture just proves it.
Until she's fully awake, she can't even hold the camera steady to get a picture of me that's in focus!
But check this out, the house down the street a bit...
We haven't even had the turkey yet!
She might be running a bit late.
This, obviously, is not a tree. It is my new sweetie pie, my Fairy Oddkid. (It's Monty's NewBean.) He's lying on the quilt Mom made for him.
You can tell he doesn't like the flashy thing any more than I do. He looks like he's about to make a lot of noise.
Mom's still trying to get a picture of my 'tocks.
I am very blue today though, and I don't feel like doing much.
Two of my oldest and best friends, Beezer and Kimiko, went to the Bridge last night.

Mom and I both got packages from the man in the bloo shorts. Mine was from my friends Isis, Summer, Babe, Jeannie, Bob & Romeo from Florida. It's a giant 'Nip-stuffed Candy Corn Toy! Woo hoo!
Mom got a squillion zippers.
I still think she's crazy.
Mom can't get over it either. So she took a few more pictures this morning. It was raining overnight, and was still cloudy. The weatherguys say it is supposed be sunny and warm later today, but now it's just grey. Mom says it is a good time to see the real colors.
This maple tree in the neighbor's yard has lost most of its leaves, but as you can see, there is a big tree nearby (actually in our yard) that is still green. Mom says this tree turns yellow, usually in November.
The tree that had such nice pretty red leaves on this day, has lost most of them, as you can see, but there are other trees in the neighborhood that are still green and leafy.
Here, you can see some rhodies on the other side of the fence on the left, and a "burning bush" that is turning red. The tall trees in the middle are red maples.
Here are some other trees in the area, all at different stages of color. Lots of them still have lots of leaves too.
Which brings us back to our tree across the street. As you can see, there are trees with lots of leaves, still green all around it.
Milo and Alfie, you guys are entered in the Last Leaf Contest. Do not worry. Mom will be putting a list of everybody's names and dates in the sidebar.
I'm really trying to get her to do it sooner, but she's just a silly bean and doesn't seem to understand.
Oh yeah, it was good.
Here are the trees today. Not much change on the Japanese Maple, but that other maple in the background is turning orange nicely. Dunno if it will turn bright Red though. Some years it does, some years it doesn't. It depends on the weather.
Mom has to wait until the sun comes up so she can take a picture, and it doesn't come up until after 7 o'clock local time. This is why my posts are kinda late.
It did snow during the game my pals, the guys named Pat played against the Titans yesterday. The guys named Pat love to play in the snow at Razor Field. I do not think the Titans had any fun. Next week, the guys named Pat are playing in London, at Wembley Stadium. Apparently the tickets sold out in six minutes.
I'm doing my usual, napping whenever I find a good spot, and doing the QA checks on the stuff Mom makes. Mom made a Gizzy quilt that will be flying across the ocean to the UK, bought some fabric at her favorite quilt shop and spent a lot of time cuddling with me.
I keep finding new places to nap.
Yes, this is a garbage bag. Mom has been putting paper in the shredder, and when the shredder is full, she empties it into a black garbage bag. She has to shred a lot of stuff to fill the bag though. She was doing some shredding, but the shredder got a red light and she had to stop for a while. She went away and did something else. When she came back, she found me napping on the trash bag.
Here's the red tree across the street, in a picture taken this morning.
Mom has a correction about the red tree across the street. She says it is a Japanese Maple.
HI everybody! Here's the tree across the street. As you can see, it still has all its leaves. You should check out yesterday's post, so you can enter the Last Leaf Contest.
It's been colder than usual, and will continue to be cold for the rest of the week. I've been making sure I get lots of cuddling by sitting next to Mom in the recliner.
