Thursday Things

Here is what it looked like this morning, Thursday March 6: These are days that nobody has picked for the WHEN WHEN contest:

March 10 (fat chance, if you ask me)

On the other hand, these days have several guesses:
March 23 (Easter) has 2 votes
March 31 has 3 votes
April 1 has 2 votes
April 2 has 2 votes
April 5 has 2 votes (that's my birthday!)
and April 23 has 2 votes. This is Mr Karate's birthday, and naturally Mimmay's woofie Missy picked it!

Yes, Faz, it could melt, and we could still get ~more~

Beezer picked May 1. Mimmay remembers one May when it snowed. Eek!

Parker picked July 4! Which is what many New Englanders are picking too!

In HAM Meezer Quilt news, Auntie reports she has not made any more blocks yet. She says she is "working on it." Tickets are still available!
**Update: Auntie stayed up late last night and made 2 blocks. With these, the quilt top will be 3/4 done.

This leaves Mom some time to work on the blocks she calls "Slashed Squares." She moved the big table out of the way, and played with something like 40 blocks on the floor last night. I had great fun running all over them, making them slide out of place to Mom's intense annoyance. (Like I care!)Finally when I ran into her bedroom she closed the door so she could get some pictures. Then she picked up all the pieces and has started sewing them together. She says, "Don't even THINK about it.... this quilt already has a home."

These blocks are 14" square.

P.S. You can click the picture to biggify. The pictures really do suck. The quilts in real life are SO MUCH prettier. Ask any cat that has a Gizzy quilt.
