Tall Tale Tuesday

I don't know anything about "Art," but this so-called "installation" at the art museum looks like fun to me. I can just see myself running and climbing on and under this, and having a grand old time.

And lookit... aren't those 'Nip bananas? Mom says they aren't, but I don't know if I believe her or not. After all, she said this was "Art."

Company

We still have "company." Yesterday Mom, 'Rhette and Mr Karate went to the Currier Museum of Art, and today they are going to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Mom has been cooking up a storm. Pasta with toona and cinnamon; her terrific bread, frit-a-tit-tit-tata with sausage and cheddar cheese, and homemade applesauce and mimmmmosas; collyflower soup; roasted chick-hen and as-pa-rag-us and grilled onions and wild rice and plenty of cookies, mocha chocolate chip and spiced chocolate chip cookies (that 'Rhette customized with a whole teaspoon of cayenne pepper.)

I've been sniffing everybody and have been watching everything.

And rolling around under the Christymas tree with my 'Nip Banana.

I Have a Nip Banana...

I have a 'Nip Banana

Nemo sent it to me!

I love it very much,

But we have com-pa-ny.

So later you'll see the movie

That my Mom made of me

Playing with my 'Nip Banana

That Nemo sent to me.

Saturday Caturday

Mom went food hunting, washed all the dirty pots and pans and then dragged the rug sucking monster all over the house. We're having "company."

I found a quiet place to nap and avoid all the fuss.

I avoided the camera too!

Heh.

Friday Family Funny

Mom made Mr Big some special cookies as a Christymas present. Roxy really, really, wanted one! She didn't get a cookie, but Mom said both she and Lucky scarfed down ate some green beans and carrots yesterday.

I guess it isn't only beans that are weird.

Tuxie Tuesday

Hey Mom, leave me alone! I'm waiting for the big guy in the red suit. From here I can see the tree and the fireplace, it's warm and I'm not bothering anybody.

Millie Monday

With Lucky's help, I have selected the winner of my 1,000th post contest. The winner is LC.LC will get a prize package with some shiny toy mice, a squiggle, some Temptations treats and a box of chocolates that DKM calls ''evil."
(Mom says that means they are like primo 'Nip, which means they must be very good.)

TBT, Mom says she hopes you like chocolate!

Angus, the guy in the bloo shorts (actually in the winter he doesn't wear shorts, but he does wear a bloo knit cap) hasn't left me anything yet.

Still Snowing...

It hasn't stopped snowing since Friday afternoon. This is what it looked like this afternoon. The storm isn't even over. It will probably snow all night.

Mom says if this winter is snowy like last winter she is moving south.

Monty lives South.

Hmmm...

Sunday Christymas Baking

The hot-as-hell box is getting a workout today. Mom's baking more homemade bread and cookies. Cheese bread and Snickerdoodles this time, along with more English Muffin Bread.

Oh, and it's supposed to snow again. Again.

Sunshine in the Snow

Mom left her day hunting gig early yesterday and got home before it started snowing. She made some bread, and then started working on this yellow Sunshine quilt for Mr Karate. She says between now and New Year's the only sewing she is doing is stuff she wants to do.

We got about 8 inches of snow. That's almost as tall as I am! And we will be getting more tomorrow. One thing is for sure, we will have a White Christymas!

**Update, 3:55 PM Saturday afternoon... We got about 12 inches of snow, and it has been snowing lightly ALL DAY! We are supposed to get about 8 more inches tomorrow and another storm is headed our way for Christymas Eve!

I am no longer dreaming of a White Christmas!

(Because I don't need to dream, that's why!)

Snow and Formerly Feral Friday

We're supposed to have the first big snowstorm of the season today. I am going to watch.
From inside, of course. That's what the whole "formerly feral" thing is all about.

Mom made it to the store that sells the "evil little chocolates" just before they closed last night. And we picked out some fun little goodies for our 1,000 post comment giveaway. We'll be picking the winner later.

Holiday Shenanigans

Every year, when Mom decorates for Christymas, she puts a Santa hat on this sculpture she did. This year was no exception. This past weekend, the whole fambly came over to decorate our Christymas tree. When they left, the lady looked like this:
Mom doesn't know who did it.

Ha ha ha! I'm not telling!

The 2009 Cat Blogosphere calendar is out! Woo hoo! Mom and I ordered ours!

Wordless Wednesday (Almost)

Mom and I are having fun covering the door with Christymas cards. We love getting them every day, reading them together, and hanging them on the door. They are great, the pictures are wonderful, but Mom says the envelopes and stamps are almost as much fun.

Thank you very much!

Mom went to see PlusOne in concert last night, so she got home late and we haven't picked a winner yet, so stay tuned!

One Thousand

Wow! This is my 1,000th post. Who'd a thunk getting hit by a car was the best thing to happen to me? Funny how your life can change in the blink of an eye.

This blog started the day I came to live with Mom, over 2 years ago. She didn't know much about this blogging business, and was a bit worried about it. She wasn't sure I'd have much to say. She says she always knew she was an Artist, but she never knew she was a writer.

I guess she just needed the right Muse!

So here's the Muse Flash. After New Year's, we won't be blogging every day. Mom and I tried to do it in 2008, but it's a lot of work, and it's been a tough year in a lot of ways. We are gonna take it easier in 2009. I'm still gonna blog, of course, just not every single day.

However, a tiny celebration is in order. So how about this... Leave me a comment on THIS post. When this day is over, Mom will put all the names of the cats/beans/woofies/buns/hamsters... who commented in a bowl and I will pick one. I'll send that cat(bean/woofie/bun/hamster) a little bag of treats and a 'Nip toy, and maybe a couple of other goodies. Mom will include a box of those "nasty evil chocolates" that went out with the prizes of the When When Contest we had back in March.

So here's the rules. Remember, it's my party, and I'll cry if I want to. That means I can change the rules if I want.

1. Each cat, woofie or bun gets ONE Comment EACH.
2. You must leave a comment on THIS POST.
3. Deadline is Midnight Tuesday December 16, 2008. (So when it isn't Tuesday anywhere in the world, the contest will be over.)
4. You have to have a blog, or leave some way for us to get in touch with you, so we have to know who you are. If you have a blog, you're good to go.
5. Mom says it will go out when it goes out, and that could be a few days, since I just told her about it, and she doesn't have any of the goodies yet.
6. Sharpen your pencils, and get to it...

(psst.. Mom... what does that mean, "sharpen your pencils?" I have claws, not pencils...)

Under the Christymas Tree

I really like it here, under the Christymas tree.I guess PlusOne liked it too, when he was here Saturday night. Those are his feets.
Of course, I fit better than he does.

Heh.

My 1,000th post will be tomorrow. What will I post about? you'll have to come by and find out.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

The fambly came over last night to help decorate the Christymas tree. Mom put TWO chick-hens in the hot as hell box. I got a bit, and it was good. But mostly I stayed out of the way. With such a big day yesterday, Mom will not be doing much today. Finally she is taking it easy. Like me.

She's learning.

Got Ice? Got Electricity? Got Lucky!

In New Hampster yesterday we had rain, then it got so cold everything froze. This is the bush out front.

This might look pretty, but it is Very Very BAD! The tree branches get so heavy, they drag the tree right over. See...This happened all over the state yesterday. The trees fell over onto electrical wires, crashed into cars, and even went through the roof of a house. The toppled trees blocked roads making getting around very hard. Many schools were closed. Over one million houses and businesses lost power. Most of those had no heat. And the local grocery store was open, but had no milk, no meat and no "perishables." The local Mall closed for the day.

What's really bad is that many of the homes without electricity won't get it restored soon and it is supposed to be Really Really Cold the next couple of days.

Mom and I were very lucky. When we woke up yesterday we had power, and heat.
