Millie Monday

Oh jeez, Mom's getting "creative" with the flashy box again.

Mom was all squee-ey last week when she realized her quilt blog had reached 1,400 posts.  Big whoop, my 2,800th post was yesterday.

Easy Like Sunday

I dunno where Spring is because it isn't warm enough to have the windows open all the time. Yesterday it was sunny for a while, but then it got cloudy and it rained. I was able to sit on my kitty condo and watch what was going on outside.

Mom has been sewing on her Black and White Crayons quilt. I've been helping.

Really.

Thinking Thursday

I was just thinking...

I love all levels of my kitty condo.

I liked Sausage (a LOT more than Scott) and thought his tattoo was better. (Mom says NO, she will NEVER get a tattoo. She just likes watching artists compete.)

I will miss Mr Selfridge, and Call the Midwife.

The French Open starts on Sunday. That means Casa Millie will be All Tennis All the Time for the next couple of weeks. Can Rafa do it again?

Mom has a couple of quilts that need the binding sewn on. It will make her sit down to watch the tennis while she does it, and I will be able to sit close by also. It's a win-win-win situation.

Life is good.

Tuxie Tuesday

My kitty condo is a great place to watch the world go by outside. I have a great view.

What I Did Yesterday

OK, I didn't, but Mom did this:
There's Basil, Thyme, Sage, Oregano, Marjoram, more Basil, Rosemary, more Basil, a Tomato and a lot more Basil.
and there's this.

Ah yes, Mom loves me.

Crash!

Our street is a very busy street. You might not know it because when Mom takes pictures for the When When Contest, she waits for the cars to stop going by.

This crash happened last night as Mom was eating her dinner. We have crashes on our street about once a year. Mom and I don't know how this happened, but Mom thinks that white antique Ford Mustang is toast. The lady that was sitting in the front seat went to the hospital in an ambulance. (I don't think it has any seat belts.) Both cars were broken and were taken away by tow trucks.

I'm glad I'm an inside kitty.

Garden Day

Lookit the stupid green stuff Mom got from the man in the bloo shorts yesterday. Do you see any 'Nip in there?

Let me save you the trouble of looking; you do not.

Mom has an envelope of Nip seeds that she will plant for my own personal use.  I have got her trained a little bit.

Truthful Thursday

Yes, I'm napping on this quilt. Mom, you should know that's what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine too. It's all mine, actually.

Don't you have to go day-hunting?

Millie Monday

It was sunny and warm yesterday. Mom opened some windows and I spent a lot of time sitting in them, looking out and sniffing the good smells.

Happy Mother's Day!

This is Mom and Mr Karate.

This is Mim-may and her four kids.

Saturday Caturday

Mom and I are both doing chores today. It's raining out so we'll be staying inside.

Finally Friday

It's nice to be home. It's nice to sleep in Mom's bed right next to her. It's nice to have my own litterboxes, my own cat hammock, my own kitty tower.

And no, I do not nap in the bathroom sink when it is hot. For one thing, ours is fiberglass, not porcelain (like the one at Yoda's house) so it isn't as cool on hot days.

Thursday Catch-Up

Mom is wicked tired. She did the washing machine shuffle yesterday and went food hunting but mostly she lay on the couch watching tennis on TV. Naturally I was close by, purring. Mom didn't get the flashy box out, so I thought I would show you some pictures from our trip.

We got ice cream and cupcakes in Manhattan Beach.

Yoda relaxing in a cool spot. (It was hot in LA.)

The beans went out to eat real live dead raw fish.  I did not come because I do not like fish.

(Mim-may tripped and fell the first day, scratched her glasses and got a black eye. So in some pictures her face looks funny. Maybe you noticed it. A very good make-up artist made her look beautiful for the wedding day.)

This flower was in bloom at Mr Karate's place. Isn't it pretty?

The Trip Home

It was nice being in the City of Angels. It was sunny and warm.

I liked napping by the pool in the sun.

but it was time to go home to New Hampster.

I get thirsty when I'm on a plane. I needed lots of water.

and although Mom likes the food, I never get stinky goodness on a plane.

I made sure to wave to my friends at Camp Stanhope when we flew over Iowa.

See?

We waited outside for the bus home. It was cooler than Catifornia, and not as sunny. There was a lot of traffic and we got home just before dark.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to be home and out of those traveling duds.

Saying Goodbye

Before Mr Karate and Rubylocks left for their honeymoon, they took a last look at the place where the reception was held. Mr Karate took Rubylocks's hand, led her down to the patio and they danced while he whistled "La Vie en Rose."  How romantic!

Then Mr Karate and Mom had to say goodbye to each other.

After all the kissing business was over, we drove down the mountain and back to the City of Angels

where Mom and Mim-may stopped to have terrific bowl of Pho. Mom ate it. I didn't.

We stayed in a hotel overnight. I can't wait to get home and get out of this outfit.

I wonder what my Sleep Number is?

The Day After

We spent the day after the wedding talking,

(17 people went out for brunch, including the bride and groom, who decided to enjoy their guests before leaving for their honeymoon.)

and eating.

(Mom really loved this salsa verde.  Me, not so much.)

And looking at pictures we took of the wedding.

and relaxing with friends afterwards,

and enjoying the transformation of Mr Karate from shaggy

to stylishly trim and chic.

Mom's brothers and sister have left for their homes. Mr Karate and Rubylocks (who doesn't want to be called Mrs K) will leave on their honeymoon later today.
