She Loves Me. She Loves Me... not?

My Mom really loves me. Lookit all this Stinky Goodness. Mom says there is enough for almost three weeks. I dunno how long that is, but I know it's a lot of sleeps.

Mom loves me. I know it.

And then there's this.

I know Mom loves me, but this makes me wonder.

Stinky Goodness

I'm glad Mr Karate and Rubylocks are happy with the rock Mom gave them. Me, I prefer the love these little cans represent. Stinky goodness! Now THAT's love.

Dearest Megan, I was given special permission to announce the betrothal of Mr Karate and Rubylocks. I may be furry, but I am fambly. And of course I shall be attending the wedding. I mean like, DUH!

Millie Monday

Mom loves bowls. Dunno why. Anyway, she decided to take herself shopping the other day and bought these bright little bowls for me. Aren't they cute? Mom says there were some in orange and bright green and blue, but she liked these purple and red ones best.

I don't care what color my bowls are as long as they are filled with stinky goodness at mealtimes.

Millie Monday

I've been keeping an eye on Mom, making sure she doesn't get too tired before her big week.  So far, she's doing pretty good.
She put some BEEF in the crooked pot (yes, I know it's the crock pot, but I think crooked pot is funnier.) This means her dinner will be all ready when she gets home
She has also replenished my stinky goodness stash. There is enough foods for me for almost two weeks.  All my favorite flavors too.

Please go over to see my friend Parker and leave her some purrs. She could use them. She has the dreaded C-word, cancer. I've got my purr-er in overdrive for her.

Making a List...

Mom got up early this morning, and made a list. She checked it twice, then went food hunting. She brought back TONS of stuff.

Then she got to work in the kitchen. First, she burned peppers.
She peeled and sliced apples.
She measured out sugar, raisins, orange peel and cranberries and put them in this bowl. The hot-as-hell-box is gonna get a workout today!

But I am happy because among all the things she brought home, she brought me this:

My new favorite stinky goodness!

Life is good!

It Must Be Love

I always know I am the luckiest kitty in the world (or at least in New Hampster) when Mom comes back from food hunting with this:Enough Beef stinky goodness for a week, beef temptations and two bags of party mix treats. There is a big tin of Iams crunchies nearby.

It must be Love!

Crunchy Thursday

You all know how I like to keep my Mom on her toes. Well, yesterday she filled my bowl with a can of my favorite stinky goodness (beef!), but I just looked at it, then back at her.

So she filled up a bowl full of nice fresh Crunchies!

I dove right in!

Heh!

Formerly Feral Friday

Wowza! Lookit all this stinky goodness! Mom bought a squillion cans of it. There is beef, chick-hen, liver and my former favorite, turkey.

My Mom rocks!

P.S. Megan, you are right. I am a bit hard on my Mom. I do love her. I just don't want her to think she's got me wrapped around her little finger. A catgirl like me needs to maintain the appearance of being aloof. Thank you for being such a faithful reader.

Yes I Can Wednesday

I've been eating Turkey stinky goodness, and Mom's been buying it by the box, as you can see in this picture. My Turkey stash is on the left.
Lately, though, I've lost my taste for it, and Mom's been going through the cans in the bin on the right, trying to find another flavor. I'm liking the Chick-hen and the Beef. (No fish. I hate fish.)It's a girl-cat's prerogative to change her mind. I can! I did!

Fantastic Friday!

Mom -says- the store where she usually food hunts didn't have any of my favorite stinky goodness last time she was food hunting, so she got me a different flavor. That's why the stinky goodness stash was down to only two cans. (I did have the stuff that Derby sent me as part of my Secret Paw.)

Lookit!Mom came home from day hunting last night with a whole bag full of my favorite stinky goodness!

(she also bought stamps)

Thanks to everybody who commented yesterday with words of support. I'll try to give Mom as many cuddles as I can, and make sure she takes time to enjoy the Christymas season. Maybe I can convince her to give the hot-as-hell-box a workout.

Thundering Thursday

Mom doesn't get out of bed in the morning when her squawkbox starts squawking. So I help.

I play Thundering Herd of Elephants. I run from the Sewing Room, through the Dining Room, into Mom's Bedroom and up onto this desk, then I turn around and run back to where I started. I do this two or three times.

I always pause for a moment on the desk to make sure she knows it's me. And I make as much noise as I can. When she reaches over and hits the squawkbox to stop it from squawking, I know she is awake, so then I jump onto her bed and approach her quietly. I let out a couple of tiny little mews, but I don't let her pet me. After all, the idea is to get her UP, so she can give me some stinky goodness!

If she still doesn't get up, I go over and scratch the wing chair. This always makes her shoot right out of bed. Of course, by the time she is upright, I have thundered back to the sewing room!

Then I go back into the bedroom and MEOW for all I am worth. She puts on her slippers and her bathrobe, but I don't stop MEOWING until she has made it to the kitchen and has put down a nice bowl of fresh stinky goodness for me.

Heh!

Millie Monday

I have the most beautiful thing to show you... This picture just makes me woozy with delight.
It's my supply of Turkey stinky goodness. I have -finally- got Mom trained. Instead of buying several different flavors of stinky goodness, now she just gets the one I love best.

I am such a lucky girlcat!

Turkey Tuesday

My favoritetest flavor of stinky goodness is Turkey. Mom has -finally- learned to buy only turkey all the time.

You can see just how much I like it. I try to get in there and eat it before she gets it out of the can, practically.

Heh.

Tattle-Tail Tuesday

Mom put a placemat under my food bowls because she says I am a messy eater. Sometimes I take some stinky goodness out of the bowl and drop it on the floor and eat it from there. Mom says some of it sticks to the floor and is hard to clean.

Whatever.

Super Sunday

As part of the cleaning frenzy, Mom did this to my hammick:
I hate when that happens. On the other hand, she did this:
She planted her seeds. She says there are SIX pots of 'Nip. Which sounded ok to me, but then I counted... she has THIRTY pots of Basil!

But here's the best part...Lookit! I am eating stinky goodness! Why is this picture such a big deal, you ask?

Because it is the SECOND can of stinky goodness in the same day! FINALLY, I have managed to convince Mom to give me stinky goodness for breakfast AND dinner!

Oh, and the hammick was back to normal after a couple of hours...

Three Bowl Thursday

Wow! The comments from my Wednesday post were so interesting! So many of you commented about the books in the bookshelf (they are an old set of encyclopedias) and the fact that I have three bowls of food. That needs some explaining. So here goes.

1. The bowl on the far left is a bowl of water. Mom gives me a fresh bowl of water each day. (Actually I have several bowls of water around the place.)

2. The middle bowl has my crunchies. I get a bowl of crunchies for breakfast every day. Mom doesn't take it away. Since I like stinky goodness better, I am angling for getting it breakfast and dinner, and my strategy is to avoid eating the crunchies.

3. For dinner, I get a little can of beef stinky goodness. That's the third bowl. (Usually I eat the crunchies during the night, so my strategy isn't working.) I prefer Fancy Feast Beef Stinky Goodness. I don't like the sliced or chunky versions. I like the plain one. I don't like the expensive pet-food store stinky goodness either. Finally Mom's getting smart about it. She came home last night with a big bag full of the stuff.

One final note about the bowls. Obviously they are not your usual pet food dishes. Mom says if she has to look at them, they have to be pretty. So my dinner bowls are a nice collection of Japanese porcelain rice bowls.

Stinky Goodness Saturday

I dunno what made Mom decide to give me stinky goodness every night, but I sure do love it. I pester her as soon as she puts her puffy coat in the closet. I follow her around and meow loudly. I even rub up against her leg! While she is opening the can and putting my stinky goodness in a nice clean bowl, I hop nearby and MEOW. I follow her every footstep until she puts the bowl down.
Then I dive right in. Yes I am so excited I eat standing up.

It's supposed to be warm and sunny today. Yay!
