Mom put a placemat under my food bowls because she says I am a messy eater. Sometimes I take some stinky goodness out of the bowl and drop it on the floor and eat it from there. Mom says some of it sticks to the floor and is hard to clean.Whatever.

My Own says we eat like "little piggies." For this reason, we too have a placemat.
oh I do that too but i refuse to eat stick goodness. I used to love it at one time but not any more mama said i take cruchie and leave them all over

Yes, our kitties are messy eaters too - I am always vaccuming crunchies or wiping up the stinky goodness!
We have placemats too. We like the Meezers' comment - it is hard to eat just with your mouth.

Queen Munchkin likes to take the food out in her paw and put it on the floor before she eats it too.
I have to have a nice blue tray wif sunflowers on it and sides that are an inch tall. Mom says I'm too messy for a placemat :-(
That stinky goodness is like cement on the floor! I spend time every day soaking spots with wet paper towels before it comes off!
So what! If you want to drop your food anywhere, that is your privledge. Hers is to clean up after you.
