Christymas is Coming!

Lookit!  Mom got the Christymas tree out of the shed. She promises to decorate it later.

Wednesday Wonder

It's HERE! It's HERE! The tree is here.

I had to inspect it very carefully.

 Ok, looks good so far.

 Mom really likes that the lights are already on the tree so she doesn't have to wrestle with them.

Here it is, all decorated. Mom is very happy.

Ding Dong, The Tree is Gone!

Mom usually takes the Christymas tree down on New Year's Day and this year was no exception. She took all the ornaments, lights, and garlands off the tree, and then dragged it outside. It left a big trail of pine needles through the house, and the rug sucking monster was called in to pick them all up.

Naturally, I hid under the bed while all this was going on.

When it was all over, I came out, and got back to my comfy spot on the recliner. Mom opened up her tippy tappy lapbox and made tippy tapping sounds the whole rest of the day.  The house is back to "normal" and like several of you commented over the last couple of days, if we keep having snow this winter, we will have a great When When Contest in March!

Toys! Toys! Toys!

Oh Bast!

Mom decorated the tree last night. It's full of fun toys to bat around. Not only does the tree smell good, but I can sharpen my claws on the tree trunk and Mom doesn't mind!  Oh lucky, lucky, lucky me!

Tuesday Tree

Mom got the lights on the tree last night, and then she hung some garlands. I learned something about real live Christymas trees last night.

They are messy! Mom dragged out the rug sucking monster to pick up the needles the tree dropped.

I ran out from under the tree when the rug sucker came out, so there are no photos of me today.

It's Here!

Mom went out yesterday, and when she came back, she brought this with her. She stuck it in the Christymas tree stand.

It didn't look like a Christymas tree.

But it smelled like a Christymas Tree.

 Mom cut the strings, and fluffed out the branches. The tree looks better now.

Mom says the tree will warm up, and the branches will relax a lot more.  She will put the toys decorations up later. Naturally, I am snoopervising the entire process.

The Tree is up, and I am checking it out.  Sorry, Mom, if I move too fast for your flashy box! My new favorite napping spot is under the Tree, and that's just gonna be the way it is until after Christymas!

Millie Monday

Lookit! The tree is here! The tree is here!  PlusOne came over yesterday and brought the tree upstairs from the dungeon. (I know it's the basement, but I think the word "dungeon" is a lot more interesting.)

PlusOne is very silly, but I like him. I don't run away when he is here. He may be silly, but he knows enough not to try to get too close to me.

It was a good day, and the Tree is up!  W00t!

An article about Monty and me (and our Moms, of course, since they help us out with blogging.) I am very excited. Mom is, too. She's been telling everybody about it, and showing the magazine to all her family and friends. The nice lady who wrote the article, Megan Fisher, is a regular commenter on my blog. She sent Mom a "preview copy" of the magazine. Thank you Megan! The article is terrific!

Mom's feeling much better today. She has taken the Christymas decorations down, and will be packing them away. I will be playing under the tree as long as I can.

Secret Paw Sunday

The Christymas Tree is finally up and decorated. Now Mom needs to wrap the presents. Mom and I went shopping to find some special things for my Secret Paw. We went to a very special store... Lookit this:

Lookit all these different kinds of foods! Omybast! There was even Duck! (I wonder if duck tastes like chick-hen?) Even the cans are pretty! But the best area in the whole store was this one.I'm not sure, but I think it's heaven.

Sunday, Tree Edition

The big box containing the Christymas tree is up from the dungeon, and Mom has started to put the tree together. I think it's a terrific napping spot.

Not Very Easy on Sunday Morning

Mom was a busy bean yesterday. She did the washing machine shuffle, washed all the dishes, changed the sheets on her bed, and took down the Christymas tree. Now the stuff is in the big storage bins that have to be brought down to the dungeon. She can't even carry the box with the tree, so that will have to wait until Mr Karate comes over.

It's been snowing off and on since Friday, but we haven't got very much. Thank goodness. It's very windy out, making it very cold. Mom is going to stay in, and I plan to get a lot of pets and scritches. After all, she's gotta watch my pals, the guys named Pat.

Snow Drive

Mr Karate & PlusOne had a recital 45 miles away yesterday afternoon. In the middle of it, it started to snow. Mom drove home in it, and the roads were rather slick. Her metal masheen slid around a little bit. When she was 16 miles away from home, it started to rain, and after a mile or two, the roads were just wet, and Mom felt much better.

After dinner she finished this skirt for the Christymas tree. Now I'll have something soft to sit on when I hide under the tree. Can you see me?

Christymas Tree!

Mom's finally got the Christymas Tree all set up and decorated. I helped with the lights.
I helped with the ornaments.
Yup! She couldn't have done it without my help!

Freezy Friday

It's cold out. Colder than usual, and it will be for the next few days. We might have more of the S-word. It looks like there are still leafs on the tree, so Cats, Goats, Quotes, you have not won the Last Leaf Falls Contest. A few days ago somebody asked what would happen if the leafs fell after December 16. Mom screwed up my answer last Friday. She wrote "if they fall before Dec 16, oh well." I meant for her to say "if the leafs fall after Dec 16, oh, well." Beans are so inferior to Cats. My apologies, dear friends.I've been continuing to inspect the Christymas decorations. Mom didn 't make much progress yesterday, but we did get my Secret Paws package ready. It will go out to the man in the bloo shorts today. In the meantime, I get to nap in the tree without her having a complete coronary.Heh.

Under the Christymas Tree

I really like it here, under the Christymas tree.I guess PlusOne liked it too, when he was here Saturday night. Those are his feets.
Of course, I fit better than he does.

The hot-as-hell-box is getting a workout today. Mr Karate is here, and he and Mom are watching the guys named Pat. They're supposed to decorate the Christymas tree. But it's still naked.
