Millie Monday
It was a busy weekend for Mom. She taught a class at QT on Saturday, then came home and chillaxed on the couch. Naturally I was right there next to her to help her relax.
The snow is all gone. Meowmans, Madi & Mom and Laila, you have "won" the consolation prize of the When When Contest. The last bit of it was against this side of the house, and it's not there now. All you win is bragging rights, but hey, that's better than Mom! She guessed April 15 and she was wrong.
A plant guy was here yesterday. Mom wants to plant a shade garden against this side of the house, but the dirt needs "enhancing," (or something like that) and she can't do it by herself. She and the Plant Man walked around outside and he gave her suggestions of things to do. Because this kind of landscaping project could cost lots of green papers, Mom will only tackle one small project at a time.
This year it's the shade garden, and this is her plan.
and these are the plants.
This is the plan she has for under the kitchen window.
and of course, there are more plants.
Mom ASSURES me there will be 'Nip, but it will have to grow on our screened in porch so it won't be assaulted by any rude neighborhood kitties.
Have a good Monday.

Green Garden Friday
Mr Brown brought three big boxes of green plants to our house yesterday.
Naturally I had to inspect each and every box.
These are the plants for the side of the house that is in the shade.
There is absolutely nothing here of interest to me.
Bummer.

A Little Wordy Wednesday
Mom's going shopping tonight for the prizes for the When When Winners. In case you are wondering why Mom has kept the big list up, it's because we have decided to have a consolation prize.
This is the pile of snow under the kitchen window. This was so tall Mom couldn't see over it.
and this is the pile under the bedroom window. Both of these snowpiles face North and never get any direct sunlight. When both of these piles of snow are gone, the When When Consolation Prize will be awarded, so kitties, you still have a chance!

Tuxie Tuesday
It's raining out. Mom says it will rain most of the week. I think we should send the rain to sunny Catifornia. They need it a lot more than we do.

It's When!!! The Snow is GONE!
CONCATULATIONS TO PING and to CLAUDE!!!!
The snow is GONE! Ping and Claude have won the When When Contest for 2015. There is no snow in this photo, or in our yard when Mom and I look out the window. (After a contentious discussion with Mom, she agreed that the snow down the hill did not count since it was not in the photo every day. This was the first year the contest was held in this location, so Mom did not quite know what to expect. Fortunately good sense (mine) prevailed, and this will be the way future When When Contests will be run. (Mom apologizes
Ping, Claude, please email me your snail mail addresses. Send the email to darlingmillie AT gmail DOT com.
To all who entered, thank you very much for participating. It was a good contest.

Sunny Saturday
Julie, and my pals the Meezers, I am sorry. There is still snow that we can see, so you have not won the When When Contest.
The pile of snow in the neighbor's yard is very small, but it is still there.
Mom came home last night and found THREE boxes of plants left by Mr Brown. She was furry excited, and will be planting them later.
I shall be napping wherever I want.

Is It When Yet?
Mom really painted herself into a corner when she said that this patch of snow would determine the When When Winner. As you can see, it is gone.
She must be enjoying her new metal masheen too much, because I think she got carried away. The rules state that the contest will be over when we look out our front window and do not see any snow anywhere.
However, as you can clearly see, there is still snow behind the neighbor's car across the street.
And looking down the hill, there is snow in front of that white house. It is not fair to name a winner when I can still see snow, so I had a little talk with Mom.
Therefore, the When When Contest is not over. Georgia and Squeaky, I am sorry, but you have not won the When When Contest.
And look what I saw yesterday.
It isn't only bird tv I get to watch...

Almost When, but Not Quite
Lookit! This is all that is left of the snow in our front yard. Ellie and Simba, you came close, but it wasn't to be. You will not be the winners of this year's When When Contest.
Another sunny day in New Hampster and I'm ready for today's edition of Bird and Sqwirl TV.

Not Quite When Wednesday
Kikky Kats, Smudge and Sweet Purrfections, I am sorry to say you are not the winners of the When When Contest. As you can see, the snow is still there. The snow is melting everywhere.
Mom has been cleaning up the gardens and uncovered these crocuses. There are green shoots everywhere and Mom is happy.
I like the warm weather too. I can tell you right now I am going to like the screened-in porch a lot. Fresh air, 24/7 bird, sqwirl and bug TV, my own 'Nip plants... yup, life is pretty good.

Tuxie Tuesday
Mom and I have decided that this pile of snow will determine the 2015 When When Winner.
But since it's still here, that means Sasha and Kirby, you have not won this year's When When Contest. It is raining this morning, but will get sunny and warm later, so a lot of melting is going on. When will the snow melt? I do not know. It is really going gangbusters. Lookit the snow piles around the house...
This is along the sewing studio. Eek!
This is the view facing West, from my kitty condo. Wow! Two days ago this was covered in snow.
The big pile under the kitchen window is go-go-going too. (the vent from Mom's dryer helps too!)
Since it's Tuxie Tuesday, I felt a photo of me was required. Have a nice day everybuddy.

Millie Monday
First things first... Happy Birthday SweetBean! You are one of my most favoritest little sticky people on the whole planet.
Now, dearest Monty Q, it breaks my heart to say this, but you can see the snow outside the window, and that means you have not won the When When Contest this year. Camie's Kitties, you too. You made a great guess, but you have not won the When When Contest either.
That pile of snow across the street is being very stubborn.
The pile on the other side of our front yard is almost gone. But if you look down the hill, there is a big pile of snow in front of that white house. Mom can see it from the window, and that means it has to go away before a When When winner can be named.
It is going to be interesting.

Super Sunday
It is supposed to be sunny and in the mid 60's today. That's snow melting weather for sure. There are still big piles of snow in places (like under our kitchen window for one) but will Mom see any snow when the sun comes out later?
Wow! A lot of the snow is GONE... but not quite!
Mom and I can both see a big pile of snow in the neighbor's yard across the street.
And there is still snow in our front yard. When will the snow melt? Dunno, but here is a snow update for the snow you can't see from our front room.
This snow is on the South side of the house, outside Mom's sewing studio. As you can see, there is a lot of it.
This is the view out back. This faces West.
This pile of snow is under Mom's bedroom window. Mom will plant a special "shade garden" here later and she is furry excited about it. This wall faces North.
This pile of snow is under the kitchen window. You can see the snow near the carport, and across the street, our neighbor's pile of snow, and you get a view of the new thing.
So what was the big thing Mom bought yesterday?
Yup, it's a new metal masheen. Mom said it took longer to buy the metal masheen than it did to buy the house we live in.
Mom has been raving all about it. She says the seats are heated so her tushie will be warm in the winter. I suppose that is nice. She says she can open the door if it is locked and the key is in her pocket! (That's a blatant lie. I know there is no such thing as magic.) She says there is a camera in the back so she can make sure the masheen does not run into anything when it backs up. (I guess it isn't as flexible as I am. I just turn around and look.) Mom says the seats are leather and it has a sunroof. (yawn) Mom also says it has that "new car smell."
I bet it doesn't smell as good as Beef.
