so this
can go out through this
and a new couch can come in.I shall be far, far away when it happens.
I am always interested in what is up. As you can see. Mom, however is interested in a different kind of UP. And she wants to go there later after she comes back from hunting the monthend.
It's been colder than normal here. Mom actually got up in the middle of the night, took off her summer nightgown and found a winter one, with long sleeves, put it on, and got back into bed.
He has been feeling "left out" because he doesn't get any mail. He wrote a nice letter to Mom, asking if she would write him a letter. Of course she did.
You know your Mom is a bit cuckoo when she gets up early on a day she doesn't have to go day hunting. You know something is afoot when she turns on the tv before she turns on the computer. She's watching the tennis in Paris.
And this was -before- she poured the milk into the bowl. I simply cannot understand why she thinks the stuff in this bowl is better than a can of stinky goodness.
When she came back, her hair was a lot shorter. She hasn't got long hair at all, but now it's what she calls "summer short." Then she had her dinner, and went out again.
When she came back this time, she said we might be getting a new couch. (That sounds interesting.) She didn't go out again, but she might as well have.
She called Monty's Mom on the telephone, and they talked and talked and talked and talked and talked and talked and talked.... What did they talk about? They talked about Monty and Tucker, and me. They talked about moms and kids, and they told each other funny stories. They laughed. They talked about panties and bread and SweetBean and KidBean, and Mr Karate, and day hunting, and quilts and everything and nothing.
Nom, nom, nom!
I do not know why Mom buys dirt, and I can't imagine why anybody would buy mud, but nobody's asking me.
But outside my window there are ginormous bags of dirt,
red and pink geraniums
and herbs. Sage, Mint and Basil. (Mom assures me I shall get 'Nip!)
My tuxie pal (and nose twin) Adan's mom is getting married today! Michico and Arion are getting married. Go on over and with them Concatulations!

Life around here has been pretty dull lately. Mom's been busy sewing (If you want to see the sewing Mom has been doing, you have to go visit her quilting blog), and I've been doing what I'm doing in this quilt... sitting in the windows watching. When I'm not in the window, I've been napping under the bed.
The quilt for Aiko came back from the quilter yesterday, and I have checked it out. (Aiko is the new babybean that is coming this fall to Monty's family.) The quality of the quilt itself is very good. I am imparting those special things that only cats (and woofies) can provide. My own special stink, and cat hair for two. Love, kindness, thoughtfulness, friendliness are some others.
I have to lie on each and every piece of clothing she wears every day, to make sure it's marked with my special stink.
Yes, I am sitting next to Mom in the recliner. We do this a lot now.
Mom went food hunting yesterday and brought back all this wonderful stinky goodness just for me. Can you believe I get a can in the morning and a can again at dinner? And if you are wondering why none of these cans is all beef, it's because... well, I don't like it any more. Now I like Chick-hen and Turk-key.
You can't see it, but I am watching that fling-ama-string toy. I've caught that string a couple of times.
