Formerly Feral Friday

You can't see it, but I am watching that fling-ama-string toy. I've caught that string a couple of times.

We're purring for the Sherwood bunch. Can you please send some their way too?

Formerly Feral Friday

I love this window over the kitchen sink. I spend lots of time here watching the goings on outside. I really like this window at night too.

Here I am demanding Mom pay attention to ME! She's learning, but she's still pretty dense. This Gizzy Quilt is on its way to Red Stick. Really.

A week from today, I will be in Mary-land! Can't wait!

Formerly Feral Friday

Ah, the joys of lying in the sun, in a nice comfy hammock! I am such a lucky girlkitty!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lilly Lu is another lucky girl! Great home, and she lived through a fire, which has to be the scariest thing in the world. Happy Gotcha Day, Lilly Lu!
I also have some good news. An anonymous benefactor has placed an order with Mom to make 3 Gizzy quilts for Lilly Lu, Mu Shue and Iris, to replace the quilts that were destroyed in the fire. Mom's got fabric on order and will be making them A. S. A. P. Isn't that terrific?
Formerly Feral Friday
Monty Q, Meerkat, Fire, you guys... are so close! But there is still snow on the ground, so you are out of the When When contest. I'm sorry!Yes, it is snowing this morning. Mom says it will turn to rain a little later. Yeah right!
Tomorrow is my Birthday! I'm gonna be TWO! I'll be a Lady Kitty! Mom said I'm gonna get stinky goodness. The Family is coming over to dinner too. Mom says she's gonna make spaghetti and meatballs. I bet the meatballs are made with BEEF! After that there's gonna be cake and everybody is gonna watch a movie on Mom's new picture box.Me? I'll probably find a nice quiet place and take a nap. I sure wouldn't be celebrating if I wasn't formerly feral.
Formerly Feral Friday
I am very lucky to be Formerly Feral. I would not like to be outside trying to survive in 100" of snow. That's how much Concord NH has had so far this year, and we will be having more tonight into Saturday.
I am watching Mom design a block for the HAM Meezer Quilt. See:
Mom stayed out at her day hunting gig quite late, so although she designed this block, she hasn't sewn it together yet. Monday is the Boy's 11th birthday, so his party will be on Sunday, so neither Auntie nor Mom may get much sewing done that day either. It looks like the HAM Meezer Quilt Raffle will be extended another week. Mom and Auntie want everybody to see pictures of the quilt all finished, and extending the raffle will make that possible.
Lookit what Derby gave Mom and me:
Derby said this is for: "being such a generous twosome. Making all of the quilts, the auctions for those in need, and the quilts Millie's mum makes are awesome."
Thank you so much! Mom and I are very honored.
We would like to give this award to Jan, who this week rescued a dog named Barkley, who was dumped at an old mill nearby. We think this makes Jan a Hero.
Formerly Feral Friday - Way Too Much Snow
This was the third Thursday in a row that we have had snow! Mom is thoroughly disgusted with it. I am so happy I am an indoor kitty, you have no idea.
No, Derby, I do not want to work on Mount Washington. Everybody up there wants a cat to sit in their laps. I don't do laps, so that would freak me out a bit.
In reading up about Nin, Mom found this site, Shopcat.com, which tells the stories of working cats. Mom should sign me up as QA inspector for Bizzy for Gizzy.
Formerly Feral Friday
Mom worked on my Holiday Gizzy last night. She will finish it later today. I watched. I always watch.
I have been sleeping next to Mom every single night this week. It's nice. It's warm. It's comfy. I think Mom likes it too, even though she isn't used to it. She'll get over it.
She put a new cookie recipe on her Cooking Blog. And she says after she finishes my Holiday Gizzy, she has some of her own sewing to do for Christymas and some other secret projects I'm not supposed to tell anybody about. But I will tell you. She's gonna m....
HEY MOM! THAT'S NOT FAIR!
It's a Secret!
Formerly Feral Friday
It has been cold outside, and I won't sleep in the heated cat cup. I do like sleeping on this green aff-gan that Mom has on her bed. So now, instead of making her bed every morning, Mom fixes the puffy down comforter into a nest for me. It is very warm, and when the sun leaves the cat hammock, I come to sleep here. It is where she finds me when she comes back from her day hunting gig.
It's one of the little pleasures of life.
I got turkey yesterday, when Mom came home. It was -yummy-!
Formerly Feral Friday
You know you're not feral anymore when your peeps buy you a $2,000 litterbox. Think I am joking? Check THIS out.
How about a Cat Cocoon that is scratchable for $249?
Or this Leo Scratching Post, made from zebrawood, which doesn't even have a price yet (but you know it's gonna be expensive)!
But none of those fancy things would help Jasmine find the litterbox. Mom found poopies on the floor in the dining room and on the entryway rug. Jasmine is now running away when Mom tries to give her the anti-biotiks and fights when Mom does catch her.
I dunno what's going on with Jasmine, but it doesn't look good.
