The Big Day

Yesterday was The Big Day. The day Mr Karate and Rubylocks got married.

 

Mom got her hair done.

Mr Karate got his hair cut. (Here he is with his uncle, Mr Cabinetmaker.)

Everybody got dressed up.

Even me.

(However I was very upset to see this pretty bow was designed for -gasp- woofies.)

This is the first time since 1998 that Mim-may has had all four of her children in the same place at the same time.

This is Mr Karate and his cousins, PlusOne and Pretty Girl.

Mr Karate cried when Rubylocks came into view. PlusOne was the Best Man.

Rubylocks was beautiful. The day was perfect.

I was in attendance, as you can see.

Mom took this selfie.

Everybody had a good time.

Me too.

Super Saturday

I have been exploring. It's pretty cool around here.

There is going to be a big party here later.

 Mom and the Pretty Girl went swimming. (Needless to say I did NOT do that.)

Mr Karate went swimming too.

 I would love to climb this little house, but Mom says I can't.

There's always tomorrow!

Family Friday

Yesterday started with a walk around the neighborhood with Mim-may.

 (And a cup of coffee at the local bakery.)

  Then Auntie Karate and PlusOne arrived and shook things up a bit with their Nerf guns.

 Then it was time to drive to the mountains.

We drove.

And drove,

Until finally we got to the mountains, then we drove some more.

Until finally we got here.

I am so tired. I need a nap.  It's gonna be a big day tomorrow.

Where I Am!

Oh holy carp! This place is amazing.

Mom and I went for a walk near this pretty park.

This is where I am! Old Torrance.

I had to try my paw at climbing a palm tree.  Can you find me?

We all had breakfast at Martha's 22nd Street Grill in Redondo Beach.

I found foods heaven!

I helped Mom find some Chocolate Heaven at a place called See's.

Mom couldn't leave without getting a bagful.

Here I am at Zuma Beach in Malibu Catifornia. That's the Pacific Ocean behind me.

 And he's the obligatory Hero shot of Mr Karate and me.

We had a spectacular dinner at Duke's Malibu.

What's Up Wednesday?

You know how I said I wanted it warm weather? Well, I got it.

Yesterday at ridiculous early Mom and I got up and went to the Boston airport.

Mom and I got on a plane.

It went up in the air.

For four hours all we flew over was white stuff. Very boring.

Then we flew over some snow covered mountains.

Finally we flew over and then into a really big city.

LOOK!!! We're in Los Angeles! It's sunny and warm here. It was 88 degrees (31 C) today. I like this much better than cold and rainy.

Tuxie Tuesday

I've been sleeping on the bed next to Mom lately. She likes it, and so do I. It's still cool out, and it is supposed to be cloudy, cool and rainy all week. That totally sucks. I want warm weather where I can smell the flowers.

Millie Monday

Mom, I'm taking a nap. Please take the flashy box someplace else. Honestly, all this cleaning you have been doing has been quite exhausting. I'm quite worn out.

Planning Ahead

Mr Karate & Rubylocks have asked Mom to cook something when the Big Fam gets together for The Big Day. (Which by the way, will take place here.) The Big Fam will be together for several days, and Mom will make this for dessert one evening.

It is chocolate between two pieces of toasted angel food cake.  It is a crowd-pleaser and very easy to make. Mom and I posted about it several years ago, and you can see how it is made here.

This is how good Mom things it is.    (She loves it even though she is making a funny face.)

 It does indeed smell quite wonderful, but I cannot have chocolate. I asked Mom if we could change things up a bit and replace the chocolate with, say BEEF, or 'Nip...

Mom said NO WAY. Thus I am giving her the butt of shame.
