Tumbling Thursday

Mom got me a nice big scratching pad, then spread some 'Nip all over it.

It's GREAT!

Channeling Gizzy

Yesterday I had a nap and then decided I needed some scritches. I went and found Mom and asked politely.  She didn't understand, so I had to be a bit more persistent. Finally she figured it out, and we had a nice little scritching session on the recliner.  When Mom got up to go into the sewing room, I stayed on the recliner.  I was quite comfy, as you can see.

Mom took my picture, and it reminded her of Gizzy  in almost the same pose on the same recliner. The photo of him below was taken almost nine years ago.

Of course, Gizzy was a bigger cat than I am.

Easy (for me) Like Sunday

Mom worked in the garden yesterday.  She planted the herbies I showed you last week.  Then she went food hunting at about six places. (No kidding. She went to the gore-may food store for some special cheese and sausage, then the health food store for some keen-wa and bull-ger,then to stoney-field for yogurt, then the usual place for all the other stupid leafy green junk.

What did I do?

Whatever I wanted!

Heh.

Finally Friday

OK, I'll admit it. I drink from the new fountain. It's nice.

Just don't expect to see any pictures any time soon.

Perfectly Parker is Perfect

One of my oldest furr-iends, Parker, will be crossing to the Bridge later today. Parker has the C-word and has told her 'rents that it's Time.
I'm gonna miss Parker. We had a lot of fun together. She was feral, like me, and learned how to live with beans and a houseful of other cats and even a woofie.  I love that she's the one who decided when it was Time.

Yo, Parker, give Gizzy a headbutt for me please, when you see him.

Bon Voyage.
Love,
Millie

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Mom says these are actual, "unretouched" photos proving I have been drinking from the new fountain.
 "Before"

 "After"

I say there's nothing here to prove I did anything.

Tattle Tale Tuesday

Lookit what Mom brought home. She was very excited about it, and tried to get me to use it.

Yeah right. Like I'm gonna check anything out with her hovering over me.

Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'm not telling.

Heh.

Millie Monday

It's another ground breaking moment.  I decided to lie on top of Mom even though she didn't have a quilt covering her.

Garden Time

Lookit these funny things. The man in the bloo shorts brought them a couple of days ago.
Naturally I had to check them out thoroughly.
I spotted (actually I sniffed) the problem right away.  Can you figure it out?
There is no 'Nip.

Finally Friday

Finally it's warm enough to have the windows open.  I love the window above the kitchen counter. I can look out on the the big trees in the back yard.  Lots of birds live in the trees.  It's a good place to watch what's going on outside.

O My Bast!

Mom got home from her day hunting gig last night and fed me my wonderful stinky goodness. Then Mim-may and Pip-pay came over for dinner and brought Missy-the-Woofie.

While I was napping in a stack of Mom's fabric, Missy-the-Woofie ate all my stinky goodness! She ate all my crunchies and she even slept in one of my favorite napping spots!!!!!

I felt like Goldilocks!

The NERVE!!!

Mom refilled my bowls after Missy-the-Woofie left, but let me tell you, THAT's not gonna happen again!!

Remembering My Big Bro Beau

Damn. The world is a sadder place today without my big bro, Beau. He was one of the first to recognize my plight when I was hit by a car. He was the first cat to welcome me to my new home. He was the first cat to send me presents.  He was always my special guy. Now he has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. He's lucky. His person, Cathy, was already waiting for him, and I am sure they are both very happy.

But I am gonna be sad for a long time. I loved my big brother, Beau.

That's Not Fair Tuesday

Mom has been having such a hard time getting pictures of me that she did this:
That's just wrong!

Now THIS is much better!

Millie Napping

Mom tried to sneak up on me and take my picture, but I could see her coming a mile away. So I sat up, and closed my eyes because I don't like the red light from the flashy box.

Heh!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Mr Karate is here. Last night he took Mom to the local Mexican food place where she imbibed on a human version of a Nip-tarita and got rather tipsy.

She also had some fish tacos.

Then they came home and watched Sherlock (again!)

Finally Friday

Mom is happy the weekend is almost here. Last night she went into the sewing studio and sewed. That made her feel much better.  I slept next to her last night. That made us both feel good.

Mom is reading Jackson Galaxy's book on her Kindle.  He's the cool cat dude from My Cat From Hell on Animal Planet. It's nice to know that some beans "get it."

Mom's in Love

Yup.

Mom's now hooked on the new PBS series of Sherlock Holmes.  She thinks Benedict Cumberbatch (that's really his name, I am not making it up) is positively divine.

Of course, she also thinks Yul Kwon is pretty cute too.

Anything, I suppose, to avoid thinking about yet another visit to the dentist this morning.

Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

Rainy Day

It is raining.  Mom says it's good, because after our dry winter, we need the rain. Can you see the trees outside?  The leaves are coming out, and everything is getting nice and green.

Mom is recovering from her big weekend. Last night she sat in the recliner and read a whole BOOK!  Not on her Kindle, either, this was a book book with real pages.

Naturally I sat right next to her and got lots of scritches.

You know what her project for the week is?  She has to write stuff on paper to convince a bunch of ladies in Saint Loo Ess to let her talk.

Go figure.
