Tattle-tale Tuesday

It snowed yesterday.  Not much, but the roads were really nasty. Mom's boss let her go home early and it took Mom at least twice as long to get home as usual.  Mom waited at this traffic light for three cycles before she got to go through it. Everybody was driving really slowly.

Mom says the last two miles were the worst.

Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

Note To Self,

Self...

When Mom has a pile of fabric on the slippery drafting table she keeps at an angledon't think it's going to stay there if you jump on it from the bureau.or you either, for that matter.

Slip Sliding Saturday

It's hard to tell, but the snow is melting!

We played that game again last night, Mom and me. The Slip Sliding Game, where she lays out quilt pieces on the floor and I run all over them and slide them around.

She would lay the pieces out the way she wanted, then I would run around and make them slide all over the place. Then she'd put them back, and I would run over them again.
We played for a long time.
I don't think she enjoyed it as much as I did.

She finished that "Slashed Squares" quilt top. Did you know that quiltmakers call a finished top a "flimsy"?

It was flimsy all right!

Auntie brought over some blocks, so Mom will be sewing on the HAM Meezer Quilt later too. Today is the last day to buy a ticket. Think of how wonderful it would be to win a beautiful Queen Size quilt. All you have to do is buy a ticket... PlusOne will be picking the winner on Sunday.
