It has been very warm here. Mom's got all the windows open. I was looking out her window, and I thought you all might like to see what it looks like when things are green.
I like it much better this way.

Tattle Tale Tuesday
After so many cold days, the weather has finally warmed up here in New Hampster. No more heated cat cups for me. No more lying in the hot sun. I want a nice cool spot in the shade. Can you see my new summertime napping spot?
Look closer....
Hmm... I see you will need some help.
Yep. UTB (Under The Bed) is the new hot (cool) spot for me.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
The Big Party was a smashing success, but not without my help. It was necessary for me to personally inspect the preparations.
The food was very good. The party-goers ate up the salads and the other vegies, the chick-hen, the onion pizzas, and the dip. They drank gallons of water.
The cake of Angels disappeared very quickly. The Brownies and the Crispy Mocha Bars did too. Then the kids played a funny kind of Chess. In the end, the little sticky people (who had asked their parents why they had to come) did not want to leave. They all had a good time. Can you tell?
Me? Well, I got stuck Under The Bed, but it turned out OK. I got to watch everything, and Mom brought me my dinner on time. Now they have all gone, but not before leaving me many new things to smell.

Super Celebration Saturday
Yup, there's gonna be a big celebration here at my house today. Those are pe-oh-knees and snapping dragons. Flowers mean something big is up. There will be about a squillion beans here later, as well as some Roti-surrey chick-hens, and Angel's food cake. (Don't ask me what angels eat, I dunno.) Mom's been cooking up a storm - pizzas, brownies, red pepper dip, pasta salad, and all kinds of stupid green stuff. She says she wants to have some fun and not be stuck in the kitchen.
I shall be in my own room, with my foods, treats and cat hammock, safe from all the beans - which include several little sticky people. My Mom is really good to me, and I do appreciate it.Any cat who wants to teleport over and par-tay with me is more than welcome.
Heh.

I Am Not a Cat From Hell
Last night Mom and I watched a new tv show on Animal Planet called "My Cat From Hell."
It was very interesting. It's kinda like a Dog Whisperer for Cats. Most of the time the cats acted the way they did because their beans were kinda dumb. I mean, if I'm flashing my tail back and forth, Mom knows enough to give me some space. And she knows not to corner me, because then I'll be really stressed, but some of those beans on that tv show, holy Bast, what dummies!
I have to say, though, that I was very impressed with this dude, Jackson Galaxy. He really does know cats, and his work saved cats from being sent to the Bridge, and THAT's good.
It's overcast and rainy here today. Mom's watching Tennis. I'm napping.
What else is new?

Formerly Feral Friday
It is still raining here. I am finding warm places to nap. The Selvage Fairy asked if the pink blanket in this basket was the pink blanket that came with me on my Gotcha Day. It is.
Mom trimmed it down, to get rid of the torn parts, and then added binding to the edges, put it through the washing and drying monsters to get it nice and soft, then folded it up so it would fit perfectly in this handmade basket.
This is the same basket Gizzy loved to nap in, so it is very special. I am a very lucky cat to be formerly feral.
Enjoy your day, and the beans who love you!

Rain, Rain GO AWAY!
It's raining here. It's been raining all week. The grass is growing, and the leaves are out in full force, but it's cold, grey and ICKY! Mom actually has the heating monster running.
The stupid green stuff is growing in the planter box outside, but it really needs some SUN!
I want the SUN!Enough rain already.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
Mom has got rid of two more boxes of books, and finished her latest quilt (pictures on her blog, here.) She did the food hunting, and the washing machine shuffle. She says she has to drag the rug sucking monster around, and make the floors slippery.
Me? I'm napping.

Oh Boy!
Wow. Mom got the junk out of the dining room, and she cleaned off the table. Even I have to say it looks really nice. Now she has four rooms de-junked.
(Well mostly. See the bookcase? It's ALL cookbooks. She says she is going to get rid of some, but I don't believe her.)
As long as I have places to nap and get my foods and my scritches, I'm good.

Tattle-Tale Tuesday
You know how Mom's been "de-cluttering?" Remember how I said she had six big boxes of books in the dining room all packed up? They aren't in the dining room.Remember these?
Well, today they are go-go-going. Mom found a place on line that will come and pick up used books and take them away.Mom is excited. She has cleaned upjunk stuff out of four rooms, and only has a couple more to do.
She also needs to find a home for this yellow Fiestaware sugar and creamer set. If you want them, do email me at darlingmillie AT gmail DOT com and ask. Be sure to tell me where you live.

The treadmill is gone. Woo hoo! I don't have to put up with it's scary noise any more.
Guess who, in the middle of all this housecleaning, cannot find the spare battery for the digital camera?
Heh.

Tuxie Tattle Tale Tuesday
No furniture moved last night. Mom came home from day hunting and put a teeny tiny chicken in the hot-as-hell-box for dinner. We both ate very well.
Mom says the treadmill will soon be getting a new home, and the big boxes of books will go away next week. In the meantime, she's working on cleaning the tables in her sewing room.
Naturally I have to snoopervise here too.
Answers to questions in comments:
Karen: No "formal" freecyling. We just live on a busy street.
Hannah and Lucy: No chance of me getting packed away. I never get in boxes.
Cherie: No, it's the other leg, the one with the black "leg-warmer" spot.
Margaret: Thank you.

Millie Monday
Mom is going day hunting today, so the craziness is over until she gets back.
Still.
Mom finished fixing up her own bedroom, and cleaned the litterbox room. She packed up SIX boxes of books for pickup later, and finished moving stuff around in the living room. She's also been going through some of the stuff on the top shelves in the kitchen. She ran the dishwasher -three- times today, and even put some dishes out in the trash!
She wants to get rid of the treadmill, but couldn't get it out the door, so it's parked in the dining room until some strong young men can help her get rid of it.
Me? I've managed to get my food dishes moved out of the way of all this foolishness, and even get some good scritches.
Heh.

May Day! Mayday!
Holy Bast! Mom's gone completely crazy! She's been making a GIGANTIC mess! First it was the shelves in the computer room... there are boxes full of books in the dining room! Next, it was the encyclopedias. (Mom says nobody would take them, and believe me, she checked!)
Then, she emptied out the CD rack, and put that out on the street (where it disappeared less than an hour later). Next, she moved a bookcase across the room (but first she had to empty it out and clean every shelf.) Then she emptied the hutch and moved that near the phone. Can you see me trying to find a place to hide in the photo below?
She put the dry sink where the hutch used to be, and moved one of her drawings to the wall above it.Fortunately, my foods are safe and sound.
With Mr Karate's help, she moved the bookcase from her bedroom to the living room, then moved the other bookcase to the same wall and rearranged the furniture a bit.
Not without my approval, of course...
Naturally she couldn't do any of this without dragging the rug sucking monster all over the place, and holy bast, what noise! I spent most of my day avoiding that! She even moved her bed and one of Mim-may's paintings.
The house is still a disaster. There are boxes of books all over the dining room floor. The table is covered in stuff, and there kitchen is full of dirty dishes.
Mom isn't finished yet either.
Give me strength!
