'Nuff said!
Moving on to another subject -- here are some of those fabric blocks Mom has been working on. After she cut them all up, and then mixed them up and sewed them back together again, she set them out on the floor. Then she started moving them around, and I helped quite a bit. But she didn't like the changes I made. Here is one section she thought was working well. As it turns out, she thinks she needs more blocks. So she will probably be making more later... but she has set this project aside for now. Do you know what she made yesterday afternoon?
She made a pillowcase.
The fabric is by Jane Sassaman, and Mom was inspired by her blog. Mom has had that fabric for a couple of years now, and didn't know what to do with it. She really wanted to use different fabrics like in the examples (see Jane's blog), but decided to make a simple pillowcase first, to see how she liked it. She only made ONE, and will probably make the second one today, while she frets about The Game.
After that, it's back to the Gizzy quilts (finally.)
Oh yeah, about The Game. We'll be watching, and keeping our fingers & paws crossed for a Perfect ending to a Perfect Season. And if you are rooting for the other guys, or if you hate the guys named Pat (because people tend to hate people who are Very Good at something), I don't want to hear it.
Mom did post a recipe suitable for Game Day over at her cooking blog.

You?!? F-A-T?!? Your v-e-t is NUTS! You are NOT a fat kitty, Millie! Cocoa Puff is a fat kitty! You are just right. But that blue food is really tasty, so it's okay if you decide to eat it.
Your momma's pillow case is gorgeous. Mom said that the fabric is absolutely lovely and she doesn't know how your momma resisted making something out of it for so long ... but she understands 'cuz she has some fabric that she's had for about five years an' some yarn that she's had for about ten years. An' she keeps buyin' fabric an' yarn.
Good luck to the Guys Named Pat ... especially one named Junior Seau who was a high school player when Mom was in high school ... she remembers him from way back before he became a Charger ...

Hi Millie, as the official Cheerleader for the National Feline League, I would like to invite you to visit my blog tomorrow where Lucy and I will be cheering for the Pats to win.
I do not think you are fat at all! DKM loves that pillow! She is going to take a sewing class in March.
First of all we would just like to say GO PATS!
And then we would like to say, you are not fat, you are fluffy.
Mom wants to say she loves your quilt blocks. But we should tell you that we have never seen her not love a quilt!
I'll eat all of that food for you, my sweetie, so that you don't have to. Then you can have whatever you want instead. YOU are a svelte tuxiebabe.
You know MomBean had to remind HeBean that the game was today?
is your v-e-t INSANE? you FAT? you're not even CLOSE to fat Millie - you are very beautiful!
did your mom watch Letterman the other night? he said that the sooper bowl festivities will kick off Sunday morning with the victory parade for the Patriots. hee hee.
Good luck to the guys named Pat.
Oah, Millie~!
You have a perfect shape~! Don't worry at all.
I'd love to see the Pats go undefeated. Since they aren't playing the Bengals, I can root for them. sigh. poor Bengals.
I can NOT believe your VET said you're fat. I think you should put the bitey on him.
Oh, poor Millie. What a shame to be jammed into the PTU and then insulted. Fat? You're gorgeous.
jans funny farm
Warning! Warning! It may also mean less in your bowl too, so be prepared for that!

Your V-E-T is N-U-T-S! You are not even close to f-a-t! DeeDee is fat, trust us, we know fat and you are not fat. The V-E-T person needs to have her eyes checked.
Our cousin Chloe was a tad overweight, and her mommy gave her regular food or grocery store diet food mornings and at supper time. Chloe's mom measures out her food, and takes it away after twenty minutes, so Chloe has learned not to dawdle over meals. She also learned to play with her feather toy a lot more. Now she's a slim, trim kitty again. You're not fat, Millie, but just a little extra weight makes a big difference to small furry people like us! A diet is a good excuse to hit the 'nip and run around with the cat crazies, though! (As if any kitty ever needed an excuse!)
Love and purrs,
Nina and Beau
Millie, we are sorry that your beloved pats didn't win. We don't think you are fat either.
