Fifteen!

um, Mom, I was napping.

Oh! Well. I am fifteen. WHO would have thought I would live such a life when I got hit by a car and almost went to the bridge when I was just a few weeks old. I really got lucky. I won the proverbial jackpot. I got Mom, a good home and a great job.

I still work. I still perform the QA work on Mom's quilts, making sure they are soft and full of love and hugs. It's still my job to cover them with my furs and my special Millie scent, to make sure the love Mom puts into them stays there, no matter how far they travel to their homes (right Megan?)

I snoopervise when Mom "werks." It's pretty boring though, so I take little catnaps. I still catch the mice that try to sneak in the house. I still check out the neighborhood every day when Mom lets me out on the porch. I still make sure to get my treats at the right time each night. I make sure to get my scritches on the regular too.

And believe it or not, I get on Mom's lap. Yeah, I know it took a long time to train her to sit just right so I would feel comfortable there, but I finally got it to work. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes things just.. well. You know.

So yeah, I'm Fifteen! I'm still perfect in every way. And I still love Mom. I mean, I've always loved Mom, but now that I am an Older Kitty, I just don't care what other kits and kats might think. I'm good.

Really.

Sunny Saturday

It's sunny, it's warm. The windows are open. I'm napping on Mom's bed on one of my favorite quilts.

It's a perfect day.  Nocat could ask for more.

Update... well there is one thing.  Monty Q, honey, would you like to come over and nap beside me?

Easy Like Sunday

I haven't been napping on my kitty condo lately, but Mom caught me there this morning. It's a great spot, and I can see everything.

Mom is watching the tennis in Montreal. She already baked a chocolate cake (for the ladies at the day hunting gig) and a pan of brownies for PlusOne (he came over and mowed the lawn for Mom), and she's cooked the books. I'm napping and Mom is watching tennis while she sews in the sewing studio. It's a sunny day, and the windows are open.

It's perfect.

Superb Saturday

It is a perfect day. The sun is out, and it is warm. Not too hot, not too cool, and it isn't humid.  Mom has opened the window (over there on the left) and I can nap in my favorite spot and still smell the smells from outside, and when I want to watch the world outside, I can do that too.

Turkey Day Wrap Up

Oh boy! Did we have a good day yesterday! All the foods was delicious! Everybody had fun! This is Mr Karate, Rhette and Pip-pay, with PlusOne over on the right.
Mom and PlusOne sharing a big joke!
PlusOne, Mr Big & Auntie Karate
Mim-May and Mr Karate.
After we all ate terrific foods (I had a private space in another room), the fambly relaxed.

The three high points of the day:
1. The foods were terrific!
2. The beans had a great time!
3. My pals, the guys named Pat, won their game yesterday.

The three low points of the day:
1. The smoke detector went off after some stuff splattered in the hot-as-hell-box.
2. Auntie Karate cut herself while peeling the potatoes...
3. um...

Guess that means it was PERFECT!

I'm napping today, and spending lots of time getting scritches from Mom. Life is pretty really good.
