Violette meant so much to all of us. She brought joy to her family, and united many of us as friends, changing our lives forever. Her untimely death affected us all. The Cat Blogosphere came together as never before, allowing me to attend her funeral and provide comfort for her family. For that you all have my everlasting thanks.

I worked all day Friday assembling the fabric squares into this quilt. Violette was laid to rest wrapped it, representing the love we all felt for her. 
The service was very moving. Everybody cried. Violette's casket was covered in the quilt I made for her during the funeral, an image I will never forget, and an honor which left me truly humbled.
