Ding Dong, The Tree is Gone!

Mom usually takes the Christymas tree down on New Year's Day and this year was no exception. She took all the ornaments, lights, and garlands off the tree, and then dragged it outside. It left a big trail of pine needles through the house, and the rug sucking monster was called in to pick them all up.
Naturally, I hid under the bed while all this was going on.

When it was all over, I came out, and got back to my comfy spot on the recliner. Mom opened up her tippy tappy lapbox and made tippy tapping sounds the whole rest of the day.  The house is back to "normal" and like several of you commented over the last couple of days, if we keep having snow this winter, we will have a great When When Contest in March!

Freaky Friday

Well, Mom is in love with her new Kindle. It's in COLOR, so now she's all excited.  She can surf the innernets and check her email on it too.  Good thing she can't take pictures with it.  Oh wait, she got a new camera before we went on vacation.  Mom is such a gadget queen. (She thought about getting one of those spiffy new iPads but decided against it.)

Yeah, things are back to normal around here. Mom's got six hundred eighty-four things going on (like usual).  She's got quilts to finish, and books half read. (She finished the first Harry Potter book and started right in on the second.) What does she do?  She buys more fabric (she wants to make dresses for SweetBean) and more books.

But go figure.  She went to the bookstore (a real one) and brought home a book called "Throw Out Fifty Things."

Yup, things are back to normal around here.

Fabulous Friday!

OK, Everycat! You can relax now. The deed is done, and I am happy to report I no longer sparkle on the inside. Or at least, I don't think I do. Life can get back to normal around here, and I can get my usual stinky goodness at the usual times.

I have to spend the next few days resting, because I've got a big adventure coming up. Oh yeah, Mom and I are going to watch some ball drop in New York City later tonight.

Thanks ever so much for all your purrs! I am sending smootchies to each and every one of you. (Monty gets the most, though.)

The Holidays are Over

Mom took down the Christymas tree and all the Holiday decorations yesterday. That tree looks very funny. I tried to climb it, but Mom was too slow with the little camera. Heh.

She even folded up my Holiday Gizzy Quilt and packed it away with the Christymas stuff! Eek!

Millie, come on! You have two other Gizzy Quilts! You have the pink one....And you have this new cat-themed one...Some multi-cat families have only -one- Gizzy quilt and they have to share. Your Holiday Quilt will be safe and sound, and you can enjoy it next Christymas.

Well... ok. I guess. Anyways, Mom said she had a good day on Sunday. She worked on some quilt stuff I can't talk about. I can't say anything about the colors, or if she finished, or where it might be going. But I hung out with her in the sewing room most of the day, and that was good.

One of the quilting blogs she found gave her a really cool idea for something I can't talk about either. Except that it involves two Gizzys. I mean the cat Gizzy (you know, my wonderful big brother who went to the bridge last year) AND a Gizzy Quilt. I don't get it either, but somehow I think we will -all- find out together.

Oh! One more thing: Mom updated the slideshow over at Bizzy for Gizzy. She rearranged all the pictures so the newest quilt is first, then the next newest, and on and on. Mom says they are sorted in Descending order, and this way you can see the newest quilts first without having to wait for a parade.

Parade? Quilts? I think she needs to get more sleep.
