The Big Surprise!
I was gonna keep this trip to the City of Angels a secret until I got home, but Mr Karate & Rubylocks had a special something something to give Mom.
This is such big news I just had to spill the beans.

I Am an Auntie-Cat, Again!
I have the most wonderful news! I am an auntie-cat again! The Stork brought another little sticky bean to Monty Q's fambly! A little boy sticky bean. Actually, he weighed in at over 9 pounds, so he's a BIG little sticky bean. (That's almost as much as me!)
Isn't he is BEAUTIFUL! Isn't he ADORABLE! Oh! I bet he smells good! I want to sniff him all over (well, maybe not ALL over!)
OOOOooOOoOOO! Hey Mom! I think you gotta make this baby a quilt!

Monday
Here's the tree outside. Its leaves are getting lighter.The sun comes up later and later each day, making it hard for Mom to take pictures of it for the blog. It will be easier next week.
This, obviously, is not a tree. It is my new sweetie pie, my Fairy Oddkid. (It's Monty's NewBean.) He's lying on the quilt Mom made for him.
You can tell he doesn't like the flashy thing any more than I do. He looks like he's about to make a lot of noise.
Mom's still trying to get a picture of my 'tocks.
You can see how that's working.
Heh.

BabyBean!
Here he is! My own sticky little person, BabyBoyBean! Isn't he just the cutest thing? I am in Love! Mom can't stop smiling! 
She has been asked to be Godmother, and will make BabyBoyBean (Nickname to come later), a Very Special Quilt, which she will bring with her when she goes to Mary-land for the the christening (and obviously we don't know when that will be).
Monty's MomBean doesn't want to know -anything- about the quilt (beyond what she already knows, that KidBean and SweetBean have colored house blocks that Mom is interpreting in fabric for the quilt). So that means (gasp!) another Super Secret Project!
Here are a couple of the blocks Mom has made so far. I'm pretty sure you can figure out which one KidBean colored, and which one SweetBean did!
After this, you'll all have to wait and see.

He's Here!
The stork brought Monty Q a new baby boy bean! He arrived at 1:14 PM (Mary-land time), has brown hair and blue eyes. He weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces and is 21" long. MomBean says he has chubby cheeks and big feet!

Surprising Sunday
Many of you saw this picture of the Nephew on The Devil Dog's blog yesterday. It's Mr Karate's cousin playing the cello at Mim-may's house. No surprise here, he's been taking lessons for a while.
But when Mom walked into Mim-may's house last night and saw this:
and heard the wonderful music Mr Karate was making, it was a surprise, to say the very least. Mr Karate has been taking lessons for five months, and kept it a secret all this time.
Gizzy Quilts are going international again. On Friday Mom shipped out quilts to friends in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. All these cats have blogs, so you should be seeing their quilts some time next week. Mom also sent a quilt to a cat in O-Hi-Oh, and she sent a big box of her leftover fabric to Mom Robyn of Hot(M)BC to be made into those wonderful Nip Raviolis.

Remember the baby quilt Mom made last month? The baby was born this past week, and received the quilt as a present from his Auntie. He is a beautiful baby, and his Mom was very happy about the quilt. So are we!
