Bird Watching

We are bird watching. You would think I could teach the kids a lot about bird watching, me being a cat and all... I know about being still and watching very closely.

But no. These kids watched this eagle in Minnesota on an eagle cam. They can watch from the classroom on a computer. Kinda takes the fun all out of it.

Then I learned how big an eagle really is.  Their wingspan is bigger than Mom is tall.  So I guess I will watch the eagles with the kids on the computer after all.

I am furry impressed with all the things kids learn in school. This has been a very fun week.

Oh yeah, Eagle Cam is much safer than the real thing! I'm only 6-1/2 lbs., so I'm not even sure hawk cam would be safe!

Yeah, Millie, that bird would carry you off in a heartbeat. Eagle cam is the way to go!

Yeah, with a bird that big, a webcam is much safer!

Yes, Millie, when a burd is bigger than you are, it's best to not draw attention to yourself. Watching big burds can safely be done from behind the screen of a computer or TV. We have those trees with the pretty pink flowers here in Oregon too. Soon, they will fall to the ground & green leaves will cover the trees. So many blossoms cover the ground that it looks like pink snow. You were always a very smart kitty Millie, but after a week spent learning lots of new info. at school, you are now a very well educated cat. Bet you taught the kids in Ms. P's classroom a lot about cats too.
