No Place Like Home

Seriously, there is no place like home.  I enjoyed my extended stay in Passa Dena with Mrs P and her students, but I'm glad to be home. The weather is getting warmer here, and Mom says it won't be long before we can have the door to the front porch open.

Yippee.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a LOT of napping to catch up on.

Fun Friday

I've done Art here in Passa Dena with the kids.

I've had lunch with them. (Although I am much more interested in stinky goodness than I am in tofu and brown rice with vegies.)

Music is fun too. I learned to play the recorder.

Of course, Miss Hello Kitty and I became fast friends.

It's been a lot of fun here with Mrs P's students in Passa Dena California. Mrs P has been telling her students about me for almost ten years, and it has been a real pleasure to finally visit in purr-son and meet them all.  I've had a fabulous time, but I'm on my way home now.  I may have a few more photos to show, but it's time for me to be at home in New Hampster.

Treats!

The kids here in Passa Dena have been taking very good care of me. Here I am enjoying some Rice Krispies treats.

It's been a lot of fun here in Passa Dena with Mrs P and her students. I've been learning a lot, and I'm pretty sure I've helped teach the kids things about cats, but I'm kinda missing Mom and I'll be heading home soon.

Mom says it was warmer in New Hampster yesterday than it was in the City of Angels. Wow!  Sounds like I'll be able to go out on the front porch soon.

Climbing Trees

Lookit this pretty tree with pretty pink flowers!  I just had to climb it.

You know my favorite color is pink. This might be one of my most favorite-est places I have ever visited.

Bird Watching

We are bird watching. You would think I could teach the kids a lot about bird watching, me being a cat and all... I know about being still and watching very closely.

But no. These kids watched this eagle in Minnesota on an eagle cam. They can watch from the classroom on a computer. Kinda takes the fun all out of it.

Then I learned how big an eagle really is.  Their wingspan is bigger than Mom is tall.  So I guess I will watch the eagles with the kids on the computer after all.

I am furry impressed with all the things kids learn in school. This has been a very fun week.

Millie Studies Space

The kids are learning about Space, so I am too.

.
I've been making some great friends here in Passa Dena. I've learned a lot and have had a lot of fun.

The warm sunny weather has been pretty nice too.

Celebrating Dr Seuss

Yesterday was Dr Seuss Day.  Look who I got to meet in Passa Dena?

Lookit us. Two tuxie cats.

Seriously. You can not make this stuff up.

Reading with the Kids

The kids are reading Charlotte's Web. I know how important reading is. Mom and I read a lot.

I have discovered that I love spending time with the kids. They are treating me very well and we are having a lot of fun together.

Thank you kids! Thank you Mrs P.

Millie at the Playground

I have been playing with the kids in the playground...

The slide is fun if you don't go too fast.

I'm glad I had help on the monkey bars.

Here I am playing handball with the girls. I am good at it. (It must be my "cat-like" reflexes.)

I am having a lot of fun here in Passa Dena with Mrs P's students. It was a great idea to stay behind in California for an extra week.

See you tomorrow!

Millie Does Math

I  did Math with the kids. Can you see the math tiger next to me?

Math is cool, and Mom says math is important.

I had more fun playing in the box of blocks.

I met the therapy dog, Elliot. Elliot doesn't usually like stuffed animals. (He's a woofie, that's why he doesn't know any better.) But Elliot couldn't stop kissing me, he liked me so much. Mrs B said I was lucky, and special.

Um.

I know I'm lucky, and I know I'm special, but jeez louize, I can live without being kissed (over and over again) by a woofie.

Eew!

Hey Eliot, go kiss the kids.

Please?

Freaky Friday!!

You are not going to believe this.

MOM went home to New Hampster.

And I stayed in sunny California to spend a week with Mrs P and her third grade students near Passa Dena.

Mrs P and me at Nick's in Manhattan Beach CA
Mrs P has been telling her students about me for years, so when she and Mom had dinner the other night with Mr Karate and Rubylocks, I thought it would be a good learning experience to spend a week with Mrs P and her third graders.

So here I am!

Lookit! I have a special bed at Mrs P's house, and I am sleeping under a Gizzy quilt that Mom made for Mrs P's cat Rusty. (Rusty is now at the Bridge.)

This is the quilt Mom made for Rusty, Mrs P's ginger boy. Can you find him?

I am sure we will all learn new things. Since Mom is going to be a Mim-may, I am going to have to get used to little sticky people. Mom says third graders aren't that little or sticky. Mrs P says her class has the highest math scores in the district. That sounds like a win-win proposition to me, so I'll be here for a few more days, and I'll fly home to New Hampster later.

And you know, I really like the SUNNY and WARM weather in California.

Heh!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get some sleeps. These kids are furry bizzy and I can't take as many naps as usual when I am in class with them.
