It's the Peak weekend for leaf-peeping here in New Hampster. That means everybody and their brother from all over drive to the mountains to take a look. This is interstate 93 North, and Mom says it was stop-and-go traffic from one end of the state to the other.
Why was Mom out there? She was on her way to her favorite quilting store. She normally would take "the back way" but she had to go to her day-hunting gig to do a small task first. She had forgotten which weekend it was until she was in the middle of it.
This red tree is right outside our living room window, so we can see it every day.
Have I told you lately how glad I am to be a cat?

I can see why your Mom wouldn't find it necessary to go anywhere special to see lovely trees - that is really beautiful.

You can leaf peep right from you own home. Your mom thought of EVERYTHING when she found your new place last year, didn't she?

Good for you to have a nice tree right outside and it's a beauty.
Sheesh . . .
Gotta love the Anniversary sale at QT. I did go the back way though. I have no idea what I am going to do with the 4yds. of purple/teal stripe (hand-dye?) I got, but those are my colors, so...
Oy. Glad you didn't have to ride along.
TBT tells us that, when he first moved here, the huge trees were brilliant reds and golds and now those same trees arent. He thinks it is getting too warm here these days for those colorful ones...
We just got a new quilting store in our neighborhood, only a mile away. I wish they had some evening hours, because there are too many places I can only get to on Saturdays. I can only do so many of those in one day - and none if I'm busy with an event.
