This is what it looks like outside at 8 AM today. I asked Mom to take pictures during the day so you can all see the snow pile up! It's hard to see the street. We got about four or five inches of snow yesterday, as you can see in the photo below, taken after Mom got home. Mom said the driving was a real "slip sliding away" adventure. (Not for her new metal masheen, though. She says it's great in snow.)Lookit how much snow we are supposed to get today. (That's 20 - 35 cm)Mom is staying home. She's not going out in the snow. That's okay with me, but I gotta say,the heated cat cup is MINE!
(Mom can nap in her own bed.)
Thanks to Megan for alerting us about the enormous cyclone hitting Australia. Please send purrs to all the pusscats and their beans in stormy areas today.

We are glad Mom is staying home with you!
Well, if you're in the heated cat cup, that means Mom can have the hammock, doesn't it?

Maybe your human should get herself a heated cup like yours! Well, only human-sized.
MOL..No one dare with your cat cup, Millie : )
Relax !!!!
Me and my mom are so happy your mom won't go out and stay safe : )

Millie - I'm safe in Sydney, but in northern Australian, a category 5 cyclone is just about to make landfall. Not only are the wind gusts expected to be up to 300km/hour, the storm is enormous. It is so large it would almost cover the whole of the United States. The main bloc of the cyclone is 500km wide, and associated storm activity stretches across 2000km.
In the US, this would be equivalent to a cyclone covering Pennsylvania in the east to Nevada in the west, from Georgia in the south to Canada in the north and well into Mexico, and up to a metre of rain.
You've got the be concerned for all the pussycats who are going to have to live through it tonight, with or without cat cups.

Dat cat cup certainly does look snuggly warm.
Oh Millie - please come visit my bloggy, there is a surprise there.
Miss Millie-face, I'm sure glad you've got a nice, warm cat cup to warm your bones in while it's brry cold outside. My mom says somebody needs to invent a people-sized heated cup!
Storms storms storms. The earth has gone razy. Poor people and animals in the snow (what about ferals, deer etc?) and poor people and animals in the areas affected by the cyclone. Stay warm and safe there in New Hampster.
We are pleased your mom doesn't have to go into work today - mum was thinking about her earlier. We have been watching the news and have thinking about you all and the Australians too.
Take care
Hannah, Lucy and mum Sue
Millie,
Your mom is not large as bean go, but if she tries to squeeze herself into your cat cup, I think you should try to work the flashy box to show us. That would be really funny.
Just sleep out the storm Millie! Let the people deal with the after effects.
you have the RIGHT idea with a heated cat cup : } how cool!! or should i say , warm!
it looks like a winter wonderland there!
Millie - that photo of the street outside your home is very dramatic. No wonder your mom has to stay home with you today. I do hope that you're taking good care of her.

Wow, you did get a whole heck of a lot of snow. Glad Mom didn't have to go out in it. And we sure hope everyone in Australia is going to be all right including all the animals.
Take care.
We got about 6-7 inches total but it drifted up much higher in places! Our mom stayed home too! Good thing your mom did too! Stay safe!
You better stay right there is your warmy-cup Millie! It looks bad out there...
FYI - UPS says Hugo is scheduled to arrive Thursday, By End Of Day. But with all that snow...
Oh Millie..your weather looks so cold and deep!!! We hope you warm up real soon. But you do look warm and cozy in your little bed.
M.O.M.'s son lived in Lebenon for awhile a few years ago and he said the winters were terrible!! Keep warm!
Hugs and wags, Mistaya
Our storm was gone by this morning. Then sunshine! Hope you didn't have too bad of snow. We had another 12 inches and lots of drifts.
Our Teri had a snow day off last week and we liked that...but we didn't have as much as you did! We understand about not wanting to share your cup with her though...
I'm glad you're warm and safe. How much snow did you get?
Our official total was 20.2" here in Chicago. We had a little more here in our yard, and drifts were 4-5' in places. I'm glad we're dug out now so we can actually get out of the house.
I won't comment on the Lake Shore Drive stupidity that's gotten so much media coverage.
