Mom used up her last stay-cation day of the year yesterday. She called the blue crew (dunno what that means) to come fix the drying monster, made a date with the tooth vet for a crown and called some guys to come feed the heating monster. She worked in the sewing room, and she gave the hot-as-hell box a little workout. She really likes these cookies with the white stuff.
But she says she can live without worrying about driving in this white stuff. (Mom says even though this isn't a lot, this little bit can be extremely dangerous.)
We are not complaining, though. There are lots of folks stuck in airports because of LOTS more snow, and we are worried about our friend Rusty, who lives in La Canada, Catifornia. He has to worry about a mudslide carrying his house away.
Mom has almost all her presents ready, but she still has to wrap them. I know there is already stuff in MY stocking! Woo Hoo! Christymas is coming!

We hope you and Mom can stay in and be safe and warm!
Woo hoo indeed Miss Millie.
I am sending your mom a big hug. I am currently in the middle of major work at the tooth vet and it is NOT fun - so you be particularly nice to her, won't you?

I hope your mom is safe when she does driving.

We live a few miles south of La Canada, and so far no one has been swept away, but there is still more rain to come. The street in front of our post office was so badly flooded, they shut it down, and my human had to park around the corner to drop off packages. I hope Rusty and his humans stay safe!
Our Mom loves the first white stuff, not so much the second!

We are supposed to get white stuff on Christmas day! We hope that Santa can make it through if the white stuff comes early!
stay safe - that little bit of snow can be slickery!
ooo - those cookies look so good. We gots more snow last nite too and more today. But since we're in WI, we are used to it. Feel sorry for my pals in the UK becuase you don't normally get all dat white stuff. Stay safe and warm friend.
Safe inside in the warm is definitely best, Millie.
Millie, your Mom's cookies gave our Mommy a blast from the past! Her Mom always made these at Christmastime. Thanks for the memory.
Rusty here! We are safe, but boy oh boy is there a lot of water. The River Boston is deep. We still have our power and all the power men and TV crews are parked on our street just waiting. Thanks for worrying about us. You stay safe too. Don't tell mom, but I actually made a post today on her blog. :)
Our mom is a queen too...
she has a couple of those gold crowns as well.
Merry Christmas, Mille - and please do tell your mommy that we said to have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Your friend,
Killian and his mom, Sara
Those cookies look good! We've been lucky with not-so-much white stuff on the ground, too. Merry Christmas!
Mmmm, my Human calls these cookies "snowballs" but she thinks there are lots of names for them. Yummy.
Sorry about that other kind of white stuff, though. Hope you stay snug and cozy!
We are glad the white stuff is off our rouds (so TBT can drive safely), but glad it is stayin on the lawn. It makes the birdies show up better!
An it causes them ta come ta the birdfeeders more, which is more entertainin. Bast, there are sometimes a dozen cardinals there or in the nearby bushes at a time! THAT is great TV...
Those cookies look yummy!!! Hopefully the roads are in good condition for your Mom and her Room-That-Moves.
