Mom saw this sculpture in Concord. She says she barely fit between in this space. She thought it was very cool, and says it's a real rock.
Uh huh.Now this is a rock. Actually it is Mom's brother, while on belay while climbing up El Capitan in Yosemite Valley California. Mom guesses he is about 1200 feet in the air in this shot (about .36km).
This photo was taken in October. He's one of the oldest (if not THE oldest) people ever to climb El Cap.
It's his birthday today. He's 55.
You can see some of his climbing videos here.
(I'm a cat, and I climb, but this is nuts! May I say again how glad I am to be a cat?)

Modern stonehenge?
Uhhh... and what was her point walking between the space? Humans. They are so odd.
And it's meant to be . . . what exactly?
It looks like the artist has had the inner sides coated in something. Does that make it easier for people to squirm through it? A merry-go-round would have been more fun!

Oh Bast! The Human got all shuddery looking at the Yosemite picture--is your Mom's brother insane???
Happy Birthday to yoor mom's bruvva!
Moms head got all dizzy looking down from your brothers rock. She gets that way with heights.
The only thing we climb into is our cat beds.
Oh, wow - that is a great photo of your brother...do tell him Happy Birthday...
I like the cool litttttleR rocks, but that big rock with the tent. That picture makes mom dizzy
Happy best wishes to mom's brother!!

Sheesh, humans really is just plain nuts! Dat is like da ones dat jump outta a purrfectly good airplane, I mean, we could see doing it if da plane was gonna crash but not if it's just flying around and why would some human (wifout claws or da sense to flip aound and land on der feet) climb up a ginormus rock...crazy.
He is very brave to climb mountains. We prefer cat trees!
Oh my goodness! Mom got all funny in the tummy when she saw that. She may try to look at a video, but said she can not promise she will watch it till the end!
Happy Weekend!
